This is Fucking Awesome!

Arabella was of the summer. She travelled from place to place, this was one of her favourites, down by the water where everything was lush and green. Gentle tides reached along the inlet, raising and lowering the boats as they bumped up against old wooden docks. She loved to walk in the dappled sunlight, the warmth on her skin as the soft buzzing of insects surrounded her steps. Poppies would bloom in her footprints.

In the twilight of the forest Myra danced among the shadows. She beckoned to the night blooms to flower, the anemones and hellebores. Purple mists gilded the trees, prisms of light through the fine drops of dew made her skin luminesce. The fine dusting of palest blue on her eyes mirrored that of each shining orb, reflecting back the moonbeams growing brighter in the darkness. She grew strong throughout the night.

Yeah! And did I mention, YEAH! New skins from the wondermill that is Iokko at Sugar. These are brand spanking new, and, as the song at the top suggests, yours for a bargain, so you too can look fucking awesome. Depraved Nation has put together a Thrift Shop event, where amazing designers are offering some of their finery for rock bottom prices. Seriously, these are mind blowing. 

Here are just two of the FIVE new release skins from Sugar available at the event. Five tones available in each variety - with 1 being the lightest, and 5 the darkest. Each skin is just L$ 99! As per usual from the generous genius, there's Light and Dark brow options included, plus teeth and cleavage skins. Add to that the folder of skin add ons, from blushes, dimples, freckles and moles (17 options in all). Also sold separately are appliers for Lola's Tango Mesh bewbs (L$ 75), and appliers for the SLink Mesh Hands and Feet (L$ 99)! This is utterly new for me, and I'm blown away by them, I've left the final Myra picture unphotoshopped where the hand meets the arm, so you can see how minute the change is from arm to SLink Mesh Hand with the matching Sugar skin applier. These are amazing amazing!

Oops.. nearly forgot! There's also Gatchas galore, where you can find the lovely 'headsprouts' of leaves, flowers and butterflies shown here!

Circus of Cats

The cold and dreary days and nights of this circus were done. The humans, with their whips, cages and silly clown cars were gone, perhaps dragging some different mountain of canvas to other unloved patches of ground on the outskirts of towns that never quite made it onto maps. 

Now the Circus of Cats went only where suited its performers, namely anywhere warm. The crowds would turn up wherever they decided to perform.

Jinx had taken the ringmaster's jacket from its former owner, along with the canvas from which he had fashioned his trousers, in lieu of cash money owed from a final hand of poker on the night they had won the whole enterprise. The whip he had thrown away, no need for it now they were working for themselves.

Sasha had kept hold of her costumes from their lives before. No matter what the situation, she would never have worn anything she hadn't liked. Besides, most of them were sparkly. No good for the workout before the show, that demanded comfort every bit as much as she demanded style. Favouring pink, which contrasted so nicely with her own colouring, the heart motifs pleased her, the sweetheart of the show.
Now the cats of the circus had become the Circus of Cats, in charge, and doing as they liked, as cats of all kinds are apt to do. Feline grace made the most difficult tricks and moves look easy, and yet still they would practice. Sasha trying out new routines, settling spins, twists and turns into muscle memory as Jinx worked on speeches to whip the coming crowds into a frenzy. This tom was a born showman. Mimicry of the blustering performance of his predecessor made her laugh, and would bring cheers from the crowd once they filled the old bench seats. For now, they would enjoy the atmosphere in the tent, in the brief moments while the other cats were carrying out their own preparations, the baited breath silence made their time alone together all the more special.

A space oddity...

YYYAAAWWWWWWNNNNNNNN!!!

It had been a long day alright, with lectures and seminars, then time in the research library, all before the hours volunteering at the planetarium. Even after the long days work Estella could lose herself in the stars, tracing their paths across the manufactured sky, enlightening those who came to see the show. Educating without ever boring, her passion for the subject shone through. As happy to talk through complex theories as she was to create stories to inspire young minds about other worlds, but now her day was done, it was time to sleep.

Closing her eyes, the world never went away, rather it opened up into her dreams.

Transported across lightyears to where she felt free, she would dance through the cosmos. Stepping lightly on belts of meteors, she could move without gravitys restriction, tails of comets brushing through her hair as she gazed on sights unseen. Planets passed by as she traced the orbits of moons, learning things about the universe and herself that she could never explain. Worlds everywhere would turn, as would those on them, in their dreams. Estella would stay here as long as she could, galaxies spiralling in her eyes.

Autumn night at the bar

It had been a quiet night at the bar, the regulars had all been in of course, but one by one, and in their twos and threes, they had headed out into the night. Autumn darkness was closed around the town like the scarves wrapped around each and every neck keen enough to venture out at all. Each swing of the heavy wooden doors allowed a new scattering of leaves, still crisp from their fall, to blow through the opening. Squinting through the flyblown glass of the antique clock, battered but still keeping perfect time, she checked, still over an hour until closing time. At least with business this relaxed, noone could begrudge Ruby sitting down for a few moments...

Of course... she could be wrong about that.  Settling back onto the barstool, the soft whoosh and heavy thud of the door came again. The blast of chilled air swept around the room, making the gas lamps gutter, only to flare back into life. Even in those few seconds of extra light, it was hard to make out the person standing in the shadows by the door. "Halloween come early" Ruby thought to herself, climbing to her feet as the shrouded figure materialised into something more substantial. Without finishing that thought, eyes widening, her hands flew to her hair. Trying to look like she didn't care, nevertheless she began smoothing out the tangles her nights work had caused to her hair, attempting to take it back to the sleek knot with which she had begun the evening. Dropping a hip, the soft wool of her knitted dress slipped from a shoulder, its hem rode high on her thighs from where it had come to rest as she sat, exposing smooth skin and the dark leopard like spots inked upon it...

Her gaze fixed on the figure by the door, she caught each nuance, each movement as dark kohl rimmed eyes scanned the empty bar, glinting back at her from the shadows. The figure turned, the spikes of her heels digging deep into the coir of the battered and stained doormat. A breath caught in Ruby's throat, she was surely not leaving straight away? "Not staying for a drink?" she managed to ask, instantly cursing herself for not coming up with something wittier or more engaging. The back of the strangers coat twitched as if the body inside was smothering a laugh. Ruby sighed, disappointment washing over her before the soft click of the well oiled lock met her ears, rather than the swish and thud of the exit she had anticipated.

They retreated into the back snug room of the bar, drawn there by the heat of the roaring fire, and the comfort offered by the overstuffed soft leather of the armchairs. Large snifters of brandy, emptied, and already refilled, sat warming before the flames, the creaking boards of the floor littered with discarded clothes and shoes. Ruby's woollen dress, and tattered stockings had slipped off easily, along with the woman's coat. Teasing, exploring fingers had seen to that. The flickering light of the fire now played across bared skin, inked designs flexing with each movement, the animal need made flesh. As soft lips met, the pair were lost in each other already.

Another night in the graveyard

It was a beautiful night, the mists swirling through the long grass, catching in eddies like smoke around the rough edges of hewn stone, marked with the names of the dead. Few people came here these days, after the graveyard had been filled, and the church had fallen into disrepair. All who could remember the dead here were now quietly rotting away on their own, or drifting through the air as motes of ash. An occasional gang of some sort or other would scale the wrought iron fence from time to time, seeking a thrill, or a place to lay low. The odd ghoul, or other creature of the night would appear, but they never troubled Salome, in her playful moods, she was more likely to trouble them...

There weren't so many neko around the area, Salome knew, but didn't care. She preferred it that way, finding the cookie craving, constant desire for someone to scritch an ear, subservient pet-like existence chosen by many of her kind utterly deplorable. Certainly she counted several humans among her friends, had shared her time and body with those who sparked her interest and lust, but a pet? Never! She dragged the tips of her claws along the well worn lines in the stone of the crypt she made her home, honing their edges, keeping them razor sharp. She was a hunter, through and through. What would she choose to hunt tonight?
