A space oddity...

YYYAAAWWWWWWNNNNNNNN!!!

It had been a long day alright, with lectures and seminars, then time in the research library, all before the hours volunteering at the planetarium. Even after the long days work Estella could lose herself in the stars, tracing their paths across the manufactured sky, enlightening those who came to see the show. Educating without ever boring, her passion for the subject shone through. As happy to talk through complex theories as she was to create stories to inspire young minds about other worlds, but now her day was done, it was time to sleep.

Closing her eyes, the world never went away, rather it opened up into her dreams.

Transported across lightyears to where she felt free, she would dance through the cosmos. Stepping lightly on belts of meteors, she could move without gravitys restriction, tails of comets brushing through her hair as she gazed on sights unseen. Planets passed by as she traced the orbits of moons, learning things about the universe and herself that she could never explain. Worlds everywhere would turn, as would those on them, in their dreams. Estella would stay here as long as she could, galaxies spiralling in her eyes.

The Case of Praying Mary

Mary Millar, serial killer...

Widow Millar was nicknamed 'Praying Mary' due to the gruesome killings of three of her husbands and her habit of praying next to their dead bodies. Mary denied everything and claimed it was all a misunderstanding. Her motives were never understood...

Once Mary was caught during her murderous act towards husband number four, she was sent to the Peatonville Asylum and was locked away in an isolated cell. The number XVIII was engraved over and over on Mary's cell, but no one was able to figure out the meaning for it.

Millar's abandoned house was closed up long ago. Recently, however, it was sold to a family. While refurbishing the house, they discovered a hidden journal underneath the planks on the floor. The journal seems to have been written by Mary herself and it desribes clearly how Mary did not only kill the three men who married her, but fifteen, all of whom refused her proposal or otherwise got in her way.

Madpeas presents "The case of Praying Mary" hunt.

This is a HUD based hunt, where you pay L$10 for the hunt HUD, find all 15 of the physical crosses, on a gridwide hunt, and try out your sleuthing skills in the endgame to receive your prizes! Each cross on the HUD corresponds to one of Mary's victims, and with each one, you are treated to some of the mad ramblings for her journal, as your clue to the location of that physical cross. I've not done a Madpeas hunt before, and I'm amazed. The hunt takes you to some amazingly beautiful sims, though you do need to watch your script count in several (for a time I ended up bald and shoeless). While other hunts don't charge at all, really, L$10 is nothing, really nothing considering the quality of the prizes available, some of which are shown here.

The hunt runs October 5th - November 4th.

The Girl and the Skull

She lay there at night, bathed in the moonlight shining through the glass panes of the window. Tears welled in her eyes, and slid softly over her cheeks. The music, made to be played so loud, brought her some comfort even as it came from the speakers in barely a whisper. She felt the overwhelming sadness of loss, as the world turned, and the moon followed the steps of its slow dance through the sky. Had it always been like this? Such depth of feeling? Or did it deepen, wounds worsening with each passing?

He felt the pain, even across all these miles, it found him. Found him through the maze of city streets and alleyways. Even through the smog, the pale smudge that was the light of the moon could be seen. He stepped out from under the streetlight to see it away from the manmade glare. The pounding beat of the music pushed him, their songs... He knew from the moonlight the phase it was in, and what it meant. His eyes darkened, this too would end. They would come together again, joined by more than the girl and the skull, the music and the moon.

At home

I've got so many great things for my home recently that I really want to share them. I was having palpations about the 10L items at Lisp, well if you haven't already bought them all I'm sure you'll want to , isn't this chair gorgeous! I've never used curtains in a home before but when I saw these from comfy within, I fell in love them what out for more furnishings from the same set on my next posts..yep there's more, they're so clever these designers! Pastels

I trust all of you that participate in the Easter festivities had a lovely time...I certainly did although father in his pre-op condition did not do any morris dancing, or wear anything  ridiculous on his head, but instead burnt  his navel on the bbq, which was entertainment enough for us!

I came back to my second life only to be overwhelmed with fabulous things to blog, how ever will I get up to date? well first things first! you simply must go out and stalk this luckyboard, how pretty is this dress? which to my mind has a little influence from the eighties in it. The glasses are pretty cool too as they have 8 colour choices & tintable lenses, you know how I love these changeable colour items! they're such great value for linden.

Which brings me on to this bench. I still haven't got around to finishing the seasons hunt but I was so thrilled when  i picked up this bench which is currently a hunt item. Ohh my how much do I  adore this pretty little bench ? it's so clever too! with it's changeable options and would suit any surroundings. So go grab all these while I'm preparing to blog some more splendid things! x
