Buried

The signs were posted all around, clearly marking the land surrounding the cemetery as off limits. There had been warnings from the townspeople, but these had been ignored with a polite nod by the corporation. Such warnings always were.

They were digging for financial gain, boring down into the earth, biting through grass, sod and stone. They found more than they bargained for. They had kept clear of the cemetery sure, with its imposing stone wall cutting through the woodland. The fragile wooden pegs outside the wall, an undulating boundary marking out some local superstition were much easier to brush aside. Shovels cut through earth, and came out, fingers gripping the blade.

The corporation should have listened. The woman who had been Patricia had slept beneath the earth for years, being woken like that, anyone would be angry. The others had been too, which of course, is the last thing the people of the town had wanted. The screaming had woken so many. Still, she mused... there really had been no call for the axe. She had just been trying on some of the things in the home which had once been her own. Even through the vague mists of consciousness, that had hurt to pull out. Now that the screaming had stopped, locals having taken to the hills, her headache was fading. She and her fellows would enjoy the spoils of the living for a while before climbing back down to sleep. Blood Letters

Droplets of blood, dried where they had fallen on the paper, or were smeared across the old fashioned typewritten letters, letters which were arriving day after day. Letters each day signed with a bloody kiss. The Mantis... a serial killer locked away. Her modus operandi out there in the world again, finding people and luring them to their deaths. Clues, drip fed to the detective like blood through an IV, a sticky red trail to follow from one victim to the next. Too close, and the blades perforating the bodies she found would be dangerously close to her own flesh, too far behind... The author of these love notes had made it clear they valued intelligence and wit, she had to keep up, or lose everything. Writing each letter was a joy, the delight of anticipation, imagining just what her face would look like when she saw each envelope. She had done well so far, as repulsed as she may have been by each tableau laid out so carefully for her she had kept on coming. It had been such fun, creating those scenes, the taste of each victim lingered on her tongue, on her fingers, on her... Each day another clue, drawing her closer in to her web, closer to the heart of her lair. The danger was all, the darkness, the blood. It meant everything, to take everything away from someone else, to enjoy it all yourself. If her pawn could only make it, could only work out all of the clues before her, she might not have to enjoy these things alone.

In which she headed for the Easter parade

Oh Easter! I get all excited about it whiffs of Chocolate and family get togethers providing many happy calorific, if not slightly embarrassing memories. If your family is anything like mine that is, yep father is guaranteed to  decorate his being with hankies & tea towels, tuck his trousers in his socks & pretend to be a Morris dancer if he feels the party spirit is anything less than lively.

So anyway I'd rather like to be part of a very civilized high tea drinking lady, for my SL easter thank you very much, no sign of drawn on moustaches and monobrows with the eyeliner 'borrowed' from my handbag. No Morris dancing or wearing anything on your head that isn't meant to be there, no fat lady in the bath jokes, ooof the list goes on! Meh!! tell you what I'll take both thanks :) right now check my very civilized Easter lady, thank you please.

I have to admit im way to late for my for the love of ice festival. But its now going on for a while so there are not so many people on the sim anymore what means a lagless time shopping. And admiring the very pretty sim without lag too.

Halloween Furniture

Not only apparel stores take part at for the love of halloween. As seen in the blog entry about the stuff from cheeky pea, there are some furniture stores taking place. This pretty cabinet is the exclusive item from Jessentials. It only has 10 prims and a raven is sitting on the top. So if you are standing in your livingroom wondering if it would be bad to eat the last piece of chocolate it will always quoth "nevermore". The black sofa reminds me always on the twenties. Its the exclusive item from Maven Homes & Decor and up to three people could sit on it. The sofa has a shadow and the black and red fit well to the orange of the seats.

Searching for a place to sleep

The little red haired witch does not know where to sleep. So she looks around searching for a comfy place where to spend the night. First she uses her magical powers for getting a bench. But the wood is kind of hard and the pumpkin tells her dirty jokes.
So with a "swush" the bench turns into a table. She looks at all the skulls and starts to count them. She counts and counts and at the 132st skull she recognizes that she would spend all the night counting if she would try to sleep on the table.
So she turns the table into some hay. And finally she has a place to sleep. The smell of the hay is nice and the pumpkins is a silent one too (buy pumpkin 2030 supersilent, no jokes, no laughing no drunken singing). But in the morning her raven is ill because of haveing eaten too much and her cat is in a bad mood too. But thats an other story.
All the furniture are from the for the love of halloween event and from cheeky pea. The table and the bench come with lots of couple, friends and single poses. The bench has only 7 prims and the table even less with just 4 prims. They are both very well made. Its even possible to change the colour of the blankets. The items are no copy but trans so if your best friend needs a bench in the garden thats your chance to get one for him or her.
The hay pile is the hunt gift in the for the love of halloween mini hunt. Its a lovely gift and the pumpkins which come with it are non talking ones.
