Jack and Jill part 2

The motel had seen better days, better months, better years. Decades had passed since any new coat of paint had licked across the frontage, aside of course, from the nightly daubings of local gang tags claiming  territory. The Orachtes Hotel had over time, with the smashing of each neon letter, become the Rat Hoel. All the facilities remained, only a little different from the original brochure, still tacked up on the reception wall as testament to the hotel's long history. Room security was guaranteed no longer by the friendly night watchman, but by thick iron bars across each window. You could still sleep sound, so long as whoever had a copy of the skeleton key had missed any dull glow from the rooms single lamp. Amazingly, the diving board remained. Burned in places, and splintered, yet it loomed as large as it ever had, over a pool with more life in it now, though smaller and slimier, than the laughing splashing bodies it had once contained. Perhaps, come this summer, the place would be cleaned, tidied up, made welcoming once more to road trippers. The new owners were, after all, a little unconventional.

Endless Summer Surfing

They had been down at the beach for hours, the sun had risen, and they had talked. As the tides came and went, they moved with them, riding the waves when the swells rose over hidden sandbars offshore.

Exhausted, from time to time they would ride a wave all the way in to the beach. Jumping into knee high crystalline turquoise water, feet sinking into shifting sands they hauled their boards with them, finding more purchase at the tide line, driving the boards deep to try off in the sunshine as they rested. As warm as the water could be, being out there for hours, toying with the chilly undertow took its toll. The rest in the sun, now high in the sky, was a welcome change, even as the beach began to fill with day trippers.

Families rarely made it this far down the coast, too far away from the all inclusive resorts for too many of the brash rich kids to venture away from room service. The day trippers who came were mostly of their kind, here to appreciate the beauty of sand and surf, seeking both solace of self, and fun with their friends. Brushing sand off their drying skin, shaking it from their hair, thoughts turned to food, and friends. Spotting Chloe walking towards them along the shore, smiles would curl their lips. There would be more time for surfing as the moon replaced the sun, now was the time to relax and enjoy the day.

 I'm sorry it's been a little while in coming, if only all lives were as pleasant and easy as a day at the beach. Anyway, here we have more items from the Depraved Nation Endless Summer Hunt. Vestigium is having a Summer Sale right now, with all items in store being marked down to 50 L$. There is a lot of (mostly) unisex tattoos to be admired and bought and also a few clothing items for your summery wardrobe, but my eyes got instantly drawn to the lovely ink that's offered in store. The one I'm wearing, called Japanese Gods, is one of the three tattoos I bought, and I certainly didn't regret it; each tat comes on all clothing layers and the tattoo-layer, in three different states of fading. The sale's still up at the time of posting, but since no end date has been announced, you better hurry over right away!

The lovely straw hat I'm wearing is a collaboration between RONSEM and Black Maria, which is pretty well-known for their mostly punky hairstyles. The hair is attached to the hat and mod, which makes adjustment rather easy, and each pack comes with three different shades of the colour you've chosen - for 100 L$ only, a true deal! Poetic Colors has released some really gorgeous mesh eyes in a variety of colours, and I'm wearing their generously given 'caramel'-shade of the so-called Pearl eyes, which are available in their store for nada and come in various sizes and brightnesses.

Even though it's already August, the new Vitamen freebie for July hasn't been out for long yet, so you should still have plenty of time to grab it. This skintight affair in shades of green, gold and copper has a summery hibiscus flower print and could as well serve as swimming trunks - at least that's what I misused them for. When looking through the other submissions to Luna Jubilee's blogger challenge this week, I realized that I'm not the only one who considers 'electric lime' to be a great colour for latex wear - and that many bloggers made their way to +DV8+ to find some matching garments for their post. I paired the last release, the Toxic Tank, with a pair of low-sitting latex pants from Elixir (one of my favourite stores for squeaky-wear), slapped on some heavy boots and partially shaved my head - and so Zhavar, the EBM-loving alien from outer space was born. I am a fan of all kind of tattoo-layers and collect them with an almost scary passion, so it was a 'must go' for me when I heard about Aitui's Halloween special: one of their hairbases with a shaved in spiderweb motive - for only 50 L$! You can find it in their hair department right next to the other hairbases, and the pack consists of 5 different versions, including one for the girls.


The unisex necklace I am wearing can be found on Tekeli-li's dollarbie wall and is part of a set that also includes earrings. It goes well with fantasy- and casual outfits and has been made out of a mixture of regular prims and sculpties. As usual with Tekeli-li jewels you can change gem-, metal- and leather-colours and switch glow on and off.

They knew that their clothes would be soon very dirty. But they didn t mind. All what was important at the moment were sharp swords and that none of their foes would manage to get on the wall.Crayon design released asian inspired outfits named Mandarin today. The look of those combinations is amazing. One part of the top looks like being made by silk and the other part like being made of cotton with some patterns in it. Included in the set are trousers. The belt which is looking through is painted on the belt. As seeable on the picture Mandarin looks good on both genders. The set is available in four colours. After decorating our place for autumn tonight, we quickly fled into the house's warmth again and I felt the urge to slip into something fluffy, warm and comfortable for slouching around in front of the fireplace. Unfortunately, the cat felt seriously neglected and decided to distract the photographer which resulted in my legs ending upside down... kinda...

...but I know you'll bear with me. The jacket with its fine, wollen texture pretty much reminded me of a cozy RL-cardigan of mine and quickly landed in my "for those cold days of fall"-folder after I snatched it up at the Late Summer Sale of creator's pavillion and Switch (ends 9/5).

The pinstriped trousers are A:S:S' latest release when it comes to pants and are available in 6 colours, but I have to warn you: they are super-low cut, so if you are susceptible for cystitis, follow your granny's advice and wear something warm on top. ^^ I seriously adore the velvety texture of those and the folded look of the cuffs.

The sneakers shown are texture-changeable between brown, black and white and still available as a groupgift inworld at the [JP]:dsg. store, a real treasure I'm wearing constantly these nights. My ink is a find from +radicalism+, a rockabilly-inspired piece that comes in high and low tan versions (freshly inked and faded).
