Christmas is coming to Peatonville

Everyone all over the world loved Christmas, the lights, the decorations, the magic of it all. In the sleepy hollow of Peatonville, there was more to worry about than a Grinch on a hilltop. It wasn't that magic was any more real there than anywhere else; just that some of the residents believed it was. Santas aplenty roamed the streets, red spattered snow marking where they met, and fought for the right to wear the hat. For most it was better to stay indoors, where the worst they were likely to come down with was a bad case of tinselitis. For those who believed, they had to be out there in the magic. As snow fell from the darkness of the winter sky, strains of music could be heard. They came from sewers, dank alleys and abandoned buildings, delicate tunes drifting from their hats, their millinery for the season defining who they were. Just don't call her a nut-cracker...

Back in Peatonville

Things in the asylum had been rocky for a while.

Between the break-ins, the breakouts, the funding cuts and scandals, some nights you'd struggle to fit a cigarette paper between the psyches of staff and inmates. They had come up with plans of course, processes to differentiate the groups. It should have been so easy. It wasn't.

There were conscientious staff here once. They did their best, within the limited knowledge and understanding of their time to ease the suffering of those in their care. Decades, and centuries past as it was. Peatonville had closed, reopened as a sanatorium, a tuberculosis centre, a retreat for 'overworked' wives... even those times were gone. Shut up behind mouldering boards it became an oubliette, the end of the road for cases kept quiet by the media, for those too dangerous and corruptive to be allowed near 'ordinary' criminals. What staff there were couldn't be trusted.

They couldn't be trusted with anything, least of all keeping themselves safe. All the plans put in place by  shadowy figures in wood panelled offices far away fell to pieces in the face of reality... the reality of Peatonville was that reality was fluid, no fixed thing, impossible to control by logical thought. The tattoos identifying each employee were worked under the skin of inmates beneath the flickering light of ageing incandescents, dripping with rust all the while. Uniforms fell with their wearers, to be picked up by bloodsmeared hands...

Peatonville Asylum launched on the 8th October

This is the return of one of Madpeas' most successful games to date, updated and reduxed for 2015!

This is a hud based grid-wide adventure game. To play, you buy a HUD - Bronze, Silver and Gold levels available - and are then required to visit 25 vendor locations to complete the quest. Silver and Gold level players are rewarded with prizes when completing the game. Much more to come from this!

Stepping out of the frame

Pheweeee at last normal service has resumed! I can't wait to get my teeth back into blogging again and I have so much that I want to share.  I had this outfit ready to blog a few weeks ago but haven't really had the chance to get around to blogging it! As a result the dress which was a luckyboard item has now vanished and been replaced by a scarf, however a brown version of the dress is available to buy at a snip for 30L. I want to mention the bag which I picked up as a freebie at Septemb Essentia. There are other freebies available too. I love this store, it's totally dedicated to bags and there is quite a good range to suit any outfit.

Last day of SGB Summer Festa!

Anton loved being at the beach. The sounds the sand made when he walked on it. The wind in his hair. It was just perfect in his opinion. But he did not like being around other people. So he did not enjoy time at the beach for a long time. He sat at home, bored, and thought of the beach. When the sun painted patterns on the desk he suddenly had an idea about how to create awesome paintings just by using the sunlight. He spend the whole summer on developing the technique and at the end of the summer he had a well working company. Anton made a lot of money and was able to buy his own island where he spend now the summer alone. He never invented something again but he also did not need to do so.

The SGB Summer Festa ends today so its time to run there to grab all the freebies and cheapies there. All three tops on the lower picture are freebies from that festa. To take part you need to join the SGB Group and to touch the Discount ticket giver. Wearing the ticked on the hud you click on the free items to get them or to be able to buy the reduced items for the special price. The trousers are all from 22769. The ones at the left and right side are new skatertrousers from that store. They look like being made of cord. The trousers come with a belt which could be worn or not. They are very sporty and the cuffs of the trousers could be resized. The one in the middle belongs to the ultimate jeans series from 22769. Those come also with a resizeable belt. I like the shading and the texturing of those jeans very much as well as the cut of it.

Bad karma?

Bad karma? is that the message on this wonderful chunky knit jumper dress? possibly, that's what you may think having seen the front with the skull & crossbones, and  emblazoned on the back are the words 'karma', but since this dress is totally free i'd say it's all good karma! by the way I haven't taken these Bukka freebie boots off yet, as you can see! When out bargain hunting why not pop down to the buzzurl bazaar and pick up a few fabulous 49L items like this scarf from Chocolate Atelier. There are many various items to choose form , from some great designers, but I can never resist a scarf.

Who says I can't wear that?

My father! that's who always said that to me in my days as a real life student. So when I picked up these boots  from Deco in the menstuff hunt , I knew instinctively what I would wear them with...I'd wear them with exactly what I would have done when I was a student.

  The top part of this outfit is made up of 2 different tops - being a tunic ( from oyakin)  and the long sleeve part is  part of a sweater ( from Emery). Love this tutu style skirt ...which [yes dad] would look sweet with some little ballet pumps.
