Chasing The Kraken

Captain Kitty Shadowsail never felt so angry and impotent in her entire life. Her beloved clipper was stranded and seriously damaged, the cargo was floating around the wreck, the crew fled… they were cowards anyway, she thought while she wanted to skin them alive. 

Her family had dedicated themselves to hunting down the Kraken. She was never allowed to forget about this quest… and if she was to give up, a glance at her Grandad’s gold pocket watch was enough to rekindle the fire in her chest. Grandad was fabulous, he had told her so many lovely and frightening stories about the gigantic octopus he and his forefathers had been chasing around the globe. Yes, Captain Kitty was a true member of the Shadowsail clan, she had already lost an eye during a particularly vicious encounter with the Kraken… and now she lost her beloved ship. What a shame.

Yet… Captain Kitty suddenly felt weird. She heard a sound… a hated, yet way too familiar sound… the deep booming voice of the Kraken. It was singing, and it was singing for her, wanting her back, wanting her to continue the eternal chase. Captain Kitty listened, and she suddenly felt revived. Oh yes, she was to rebuild the clipper, she was to restart the hunt. She listened to the song of the Kraken, she grabbed her Grandad’s pocket watch with a defiant yet happy smile, and in her single feline eye there glowed a wild unextinguishable fire. 

„Steam the Hunt 6” is on, and many shops offer lovely gifts for the indefatigable hunter. I’m a great fan of the Victorian Steampunk style, so this hunt is a true prizes galore for me. Spring posing

Spending some time with Omen at my home, taking a pictures together. As he is a bit bigger than me he was so kind to hunker down so that i was able to look over him. To say the truth i only wanted to be able to see the tattoos on top of his head normaly i do not have the chance to see them.

This pose is sold on the March into Spring Market by the store which organizes the whole event, Embody Shapes and Poses. It is one of their sale items so it is sold for only 10 Linden. I needed to adjust the pose a bit as Omen is much larger than me but for that you simply could unlink the poseballs move them while sitting on them until the pose looks correctly and link them again. Its not a big thing when you know how to unlink and to link prims again.

This is the right pose for a romantic picture. Normaly this kind of pose should be used in the outside and be very romantic. Unfortunatly i did not think about this when taking the picture so it looks like Omen just collected all the glow in the dark stares i glued at the ceiling and would now let them fly in front of me. The pose is lovely i think it might also work to put something else than the stars into the hands maybe a gift? Or some food.

Embody is not only a store for poses they also create shapes. So it is just normal that they also sells shapes at the march into spring market. This one is named Sierra. I have to admit it is difficult for me to deal with other poses than my own but as Embody also released a new set of female poses i took the pictures of those while using the shape to show it in different positions. The poses are cool poses for those who are famous and those who like to be famous and called Celebrity.

Dressed for spring

Walking along the beach and shivering a bit because the water is still cold. But it is great to spend time at the sea and to feel the wind on the bare shoulders.

22769 takes part in the March into Spring Market. This market starts tomorrow and is organized and takes place at the roof of Embody Shapes and Poses. There is a market on the roof of that store and a hunt with some great gift takes part as well. All the participating designers sell an item for 10 Lindens. The dress with the black top and the white black striped shirt is the 10 Linden item from 22769. The skirt is kind of wrapped together and has a knoted band to keep it in place. Its a great dress for a party at a pool, elegant and sexy.
The cherry blossom dress on the other picture is the hunt gift from the same store. I liked the colours which have been choosen for the dress a lot. The skirt consists of three prim parts one being attached at the pelvis and the other two at the spine attachment points. So the dress still looks fine when moving.

Engravings

Nobody knew exactly where she came from. And she also had no clue about that. The people who found her, naked and confused, started to call her Eris. It was a joke. But she liked the name of the godess of chaos so she kept the name. She was not really intrested in anything until she found the pictures. The pictures fascinated her. They were black and white. Somebody told her that they would have been engraved. Eris didn't care much about that. She wanted to manage to draw a picture like that. So she started to spend all her time with painting.
In a hot summer night she took off her clothes because it was horribly warm and nobody was around. But suddenly something odd happened. Her skin started to look like being engraved. She was a bit surprised about that.
It was a bit odd to look like being engraved. So she decided that it might be a good thing to visit the hospital. While putting on her clothes she heard a sound. It was a strange sound like something makeing its way through a very very thin layer of paper without destroying the paper. After turning around she saw the man. It was the first person she felt familiar with. He simply smiled and kissed her. Then he asked her to come with him as it would be time that the lost picture would be found again. At the next day people only found five pictures in her room. Not many people had known her but those were very surprised how similar the woman on the fifth picture and Eris looked.
The pictures and the engraved tattoolayers are gifts from Fallen Gods in the What's the News hunt. They are pretty and special and i guess its not needed to speak about the quality of Fallen Gods Inc. Items. The pictures are engravings from Gustave Doré, a french artist who made excellent engravings. Alia wrote a bit more about his ideas and why he made those hunt items in the Fallen Gods Inc. blog. The couple pose is an other gift from the What's the news hunt. Its inspired by that famous picture of the soldier kissing a girl. The jeans with the flares and the grey top and also the belt are a current Courtiers Loft item from 22769. Its possible to change the texture of the inner of the flares.
