Fantasy Faire 2020 - Out of this World

Across aeons there had been whisperings, wonderings, all over the worlds.
                       Whence came we?
                                                                                                              Wither goeth we?
The words themselves had changed over time of course, but the sentiment remained. All those blessed with sentience, which was of course just about everything, had thought, spoken, or screamed the question into the void.
Out there in the void, the powers that be shifted, they were always listening.

Aethera drifted through the limitless heavens, eyes and ears alert for the change. There was a moment for each planet, each civilisation when they achieved a coming together, with the questioning voices coalescing into one. The blue planet called to her now, unremarkable, though pretty with its pattern of greens, browns and blue. The chorus had begun years ago, a few disparate souls echoing through the vacuum, like pinpricks of light their presence tickled her skin, catching her attention. 

Over time these echos multiplied, spinning through space, dancing and winding together to encircle the planet, drifting off to form an enticing cord. It was time. Aethera grasped it. There was no knowing where they would end up, there was just one guarantee. Having come together as one, with one positive goal, whatever came next would be better than anything they had seen before.

Twisted Reunion

At the furthest reaches of the winding gravel track lay the church. So far from the town it seemed impossible that it had ever been a regular place of worship for the number of people it could comfortably hold. Its grandeur and inexplicable presence made all the more remarkable by the constant shimmer of twilight which began on approach, darkening the closer any visitor came, regardless of the direction, or time of day.

Here in the dark, there would often be nothing to see, nothing to hear besides the soft scratchings of vermin, the gentle cries of the bats high above. At other times, strains of organ music drifted on the air, while candle flames set the stained glass in the windows glinting. The curtain of the confessional drawn back, the mouldering velvet covered wood of the seat within creaked as it took the weight of one a far cry from the priesthood. The book fell open with spine cracked familiarity, murmured words and the chill air filled with the blooming scent of roses. Tap, tap, tap, the impatient drumming of fingers waiting to be joined by the beat of another's heart.

Long cold candles combusted, illuminating the living and the dead. Their warmth carried the aroma of roses with the spark of flame, drifting over rosewood and all it contained. Old bones, life regained. Silk spun centuries earlier rustled as it began to move.

"Reunion... " A twisted prayer had brought them here, the concluding word at the end of countless experiments, trials and searches. Could it finally be true... Eyes which had long gazed only only the stars, the firmament of eternity took some time to resolve on the reality of shadow and stone. Could she see him now? Would she know him again?

Three cries from her birds etched in wood were all it took. Final forgiveness found in the the resumption of their eternal kiss. Their danse macabre would begin again, within the walls of their sanctuary, in their own private midnight.

Twisted Hunt 2016

Something was stirring outside...

Something was stirring outside, under the earth. It wasn't the purposeful meanderings of the little folk in their velvet coats searching for worms or a mate, but still it had purpose. Out in the orchard the leaves still tracked the movement of sun, not yet turning the shades of autumn soon to come, while the fruitful harvest blushed and fell. Something deeper moved, turning more rapidly than sun or moon. What was it? What was it? She could feel it coming...

Catdog had been of remarkably little help, moreso even than usual, and that was indeed something on which one could remark. For hours she had tried to question the beast - it's button eyes regarding her with innocence in every stitch. Straightforward, or cryptic, her questions received no answers, though she was certain it knew something, though it spoke only in riddles and quotes from the silver screen. She turned to the cards, they could be evasive in their turn of course, whenever she looked too intensely, posed too direct a query. As she dealt, the cards themselves seemed to mock her, over and over she asked, rephrasing, reasking, desperate to know. Finally, a cough from catdog as the grinding noise of things spinning, moving through earth grew louder from the orchard, she flopped forward, cursing her own idiocy.

Her collapse into fury and bewilderment at her own lack of foresight lasted only a moment, she ran outside, not a moment to lose. The oldstone was glowing, casting flickering light over the ground, over the spinning cubes as they broke free of the earths grip, to fly off, left and right, up and down. A low cackling flew with them, laughter hysterical and inane. She cried out with delight to see them fly. What had distracted her? What fog had covered her eyes to blind her to the date, to the return of the twisted cubes? It mattered not. They were back, and now they were out there, ready for the taking by any hand or eye quick enough to glimpse their hiding place. Waiting for nothing, she began to run, into the the night, after the blue tinged nightmares.

Twisted Fall 2016!

This is the SIXTEENTH Twisted Hunt - I've been as distracted as the woman in my tale - there's a lot a lot going on RL right now - and there will be for the forseeable future - so this kinda snuck up on me this year - but it could not have come at a better time.

As ever - this is the hardest hunt in all of Second Life - and for no small measure is the best for that! There are no clues - save those on offer from those other twisted folk in the group chat who cobble together lists of hints as the hunt progresses - please remember to ask nicely- a please and a thankyou go a long way, and believe me it's easier for us to find a hint if you have the number of the store you are stuck on as well as the name! The chat is fun and friendly - one of the best parts of the hunt.

There are 91 stores, there can be 10 visible decoy cubes in addition to the prize cube - which will be in sight somewhere. If you choose to de-render - be warned - there are unlimited decoys allowed in walls, floors, ceilings etc!

Twilight was falling, time had come again for her to ease out of the hidden spaces, to coalesce at the edges of the light.

Each step she took gathered, remaining after she had moved on. Beams of light streamed through stained glass, each passing moment the colours deepened.

Dusk tugged at the world, twilight was subsumed, the last vestiges of light drifting higher and higher, up and away. Shadow she was, darkness was was her realm, the gift she brought to the world. Every night she was changed by it, the darkness she brought wrapped around her, making her whole.

Fantasy Faire 2015 - Forever Sprite

Sea Sprites live forever... or, better to say, they live for a very, very, very long time. Jerrilynn Whitefoam was a mere toddler by Sea Sprite standards, but a curious and adventurous toddler all the same. She wasn't entirely content with the underwater universe her parents and grandparents and great-grandparents used to enjoy. She wanted more. She wanted adventure, and experience. This is why she decided to rise above sea level one bright day... and she was so very lucky. She met a weird, winged critter floating in the air. She called herself Fidget Heartweb, a Nature Fairy... and she gifted Jerrilynn with a pair of amazing... stunning... wings! So absolutely useless under water... yet Jerrilynn donned them proudly, like a medal. Her medal for Adventure. Her medal for Being More Than a Sea Sprite. And she was happy because of this, for the forthcoming five hundred years under sea level.

I should have shown you this outfit ages ago, at the very beginning of the Faire... then, as usual, RL intervened. However, the Fairelands are still there for a few hours more, the crowd is definitely smaller, so you still have the chance to grab a beauty or two in the very last minute.

Bird

Nest 884-A was the last outpost and it was the place they had sent her to. It was as much of a punishment as a reward. Every watcher of 884-A had made an impressive carrer at the end. But at the moment she doubted that this would happen to her. On her way she had rested on all outposts on the way and listened to the stories of the other watchers. It seemed like the big swarms of mer people had went far to the east. Which meant she would not have to deal with them. But nobody was able to answer the question why they had left.
The last distance was longer than she had expected it. So her wings were weak when she finally reached the outpost. Her back would hurt but at least it seemed like none of her feathers were broken and although she had fallen onto her back while landing her tail was more or less unharmed as well. She thanked the big bird quietly and was happy to find the small nest, which was hidden in the outpost, clean.
If the flight had not been so long and exhausting she would have eventually had used the rest of the daylight to explore the outpost. Especially the ladders and the plattform at sealevel. But being tired she had fallen asleep imediatly. So she did not know what to do besides of locking the door when hearing the wood, the most of the outpost was built of, creak. In the morning she stepped outside - after she had made sure that nobody was waiting for her outside - and looked over the sea. Everything was calm. But she did know that something was out there. Something or somebody who had caused the mer to leave. She would find it out. But first she would need to wait for the return of the night.

DeviousMind takes part in the fantasy gatcha event. Their item is called Harpyia and consists of rigged bird legs, wings and feathers. The quality of the item is very high especially for being not very costly at all. It was a nice surprise to get the Nighthawk version as it goes so nicely with the Raven skin from fallen gods inc. The skin is available in several tones and comes with a pg cover and two versions of the chest part. The Hawk Hair from Wasabi Pills completes the bird look. As shape the Amaris shape from Adam n Eve has been used.

Birds often seem to like to be at high places. So the Escape from 22769's house/furniture brand [bauwerk] is a most suitable building. It is available in four different colours and suits different kinds of settings as for example cute sims or more post apocalyptic worlds.

The used poses come from Ma Vie. The Harpy set also includes a pose which makes sure that the arms are being hold up so that the avatar looks also bird like in it's movments.

They had called her so she was on her way. It would take her about an hour to get from the lower levels up to those where the rich and wealthy now and then had the chance to see sunlight. Real sunlight not the false light which projectors emitted. If she had wanted it she could have a flat our even a loft up there. There had been many offers in that direction but after having promised to ponder about the proposal she always had a very understandable reason to refuse the offer.
Some shivered when she passed them. They remembered stories of their grandparents and parents about somebody like her and wondered if she was the same person and why she hadn't aged since then. But the situation was fragile and she was known for her knowledge or more her abilities. The best medium of the time - able to predict the future and even more important she knew how to change it. Sometimes she wondered if they would have hired her if they would have known that she was the last AI which had not been destroyed after the war. But she always moved that process of thought out of her main core. The parts she needed to preserve herself were expensive and if anybody wanted a nice future there was no reason why they should not pay her.

Although most of the stores which take part in the final fantasy faire do not really seem to have made items which fit to the topic (there is even a sex motorbike available for those who like it faster) - there are some items there which are pretty. For example the Titania scarf from May's Soul. The scarf is made of unrigged mesh and looks like being made of fur with some feathers as decoration. It is pretty and a good accessory to the dress Junbug made for the current round of we <3 Rp. The dress is simple and - while mesh might (in dependence of the used ao) not be the best to make a long skirt look realistic - because of the lack of decorations very elegant. It would suit as well as wedding dress as in the other available colours for ballroom dancing or roleplay. The dress is available in the standard sizes.
The choosen blindfold comes from 22769. As the scarf it is made of unrigged mesh and can be edited. The blindfold is sold in several colours.
The Erika hair from Wasabi Pills is very variable in the way it can be used. It fits to soften an elegant business look as well as to a romantic dress as in this case.
The Cataclysm tattoo from Fallen Gods can be tinted and used to create unicolour looks.
The poses used come all from Ma Vie. They suit very well to take pictures of long dresses and to create an elegant look with a strong expression.

Pirates of the Scarabbean

Scah Rab Anh was so close to the prize, oh so very close. A few more steps and she would finally fulfil the dream of generations and generations of her ancestors. She would finally put her hands on the Chest of the Golden Scarab, the treasure her great-grandfather's great-grandfather had already been hunting for... a treasure for which her family had left the golden Egyptian sands and embarked on a neverending journey on the high seas. Scah Rab Anh silently gulped (the responsibility was weighing her down, after all), and entered the fog that was floating at the entrance of the cave.

"A peacock sitting on his tail is nothing but a turkey"; "Patience comes to those who wait for it"; "Don't eat yellow snow!" Have you ever been in dire need of some words of deep wisdom? We Love Role-Play - Wampyre

She was beautiful. She was tall, slim and sinuous. She was queen among her subjects. Yet, she was unhappy and bitter. Who wouldn’t be, she thought, when you cannot leave your underworld realm? She was born a vampire, a lovely princess with alabaster skin and delicate ivory fangs, a creature of the night to behold and dread. Yet, his father’s rule was weakening by the day... people were becoming more courageous and inventive, they didn’t use garlic and crucifixes any more, they shot vampires with silver bullets instead.

His father wanted to kill three birds with one stone when he decided his daughter should marry a dwarf princeling from one of the underground kingdoms nearby. She would be safe from ruthless humans, she could avoid lethal sunlight and, last but not least, her father could forge a precious alliance with the dwarves. Under the hill she went, and there she would remain until the end of her days, which was eternity. Well, at least she was waited on hand and foot by her diligent servants... and dinnertime was close. “What did they catch for me today?” – she wondered. ”A fat peasant? An able-bodied blacksmith? Some tender little girl?” She silently licked her lips. Living underground had a pleasant side, too.

The pictures were taken in the catacombs at The Valley of Ish’nar, the location where the second part of the Key of Hope hunt is running until May 19^th.

(My apologies for the shabby-looking post... my PC and internet connection are apparently on strike and nothing works properly today.)

The Huntress

She had found the horse somewhere in a street. A child might have thrown it away or parents or a mean sibling stole it to cause some desperation. So she decided that it was perfect to help her for a while. Of course if she would ever find something which would suit her need she might send it for a journey to find its real owner but at the moment the horse was hers and she really enjoyed not having to fly all the time. Her wings were fine more like being made of spider cobs and so she walked anyways a lot. The horse was robust, fast and even had a colour she liked.  Although she was very small compared to humans she was one of the best head hunters. People of her size were common in the lands which were her home so this was not really a surprise for her clients. But her love for pink and all the pretty colours was. Most did not realize that this was a benefit for her. Who would think that a cute fairy riding on a pink toy horse could hit leaves flying in the wind with her arrow.
Petites are now around for some time. They are small, cute and fun and the center of their lands - the Petite Kingdom had to move one time before because it was too small for all the wonderful items. This happened again and now it will be on a whole sim. As the first locations of the Petite Kingdom there is a lot built Petite sized and very beautiful. The sim consists of floating Islands which contain not only stores to explore.
The sim will open tomorrow at noon with events and a hunt - called the Crystal Hunt - in which many of the items on the picture will be huntgifts. For example the pink dress from g-field it fits petites and the flowerish look makes it suit the fairy like built of Petites. The set contains also a headdress and wings. The wings on the pictures are deadly besides of being very beautiful. And come from Aurora Elysium. While being wings they contain also a quiver and the set itself a bow. So they are a mix of wings and bow and arrow. It is scripted for spellfire and DCS and offers a wide range of possibilities for example to choose if it should act like a long bow in spellfire.
The brass horse is an other huntgift. It comes from Bare Rose. There is an ao included which allows to ride it.
Yabusaka also takes part in the Crystal Hunt. Their items is a choker in a male and a female version.
The hair is one of the latest releases from Wasabi Pills for Petites. While most of the hair is bound together in a pony tail some streaks managed to break free which looks cute.

Starborn

The meeting would be soon. Ira (her real name was way longer and a human would have gotten massive headache even when trying to think it) was not sure if she was looking forward to it or not. Of course their race was rare and he was her soulmate the one who made her complete. But often she wished to feel complete alone. 
They met at the usual location. Later some scientists would maybe wonder about a temporary black hole at that location this was one of the reasons why they only could meet for a short time. Of course their meetings were way longer than the lifespan of the halfsheer dreaming clouds on Treta Xanos or the purple froglike creaturs on Sasaraxinquonte. But for them they were short. Even the mightyest Gods can not escape time.
So they stood together for a while. Stars exploding near them and planets becomming covered with ice as the stars which had kept the climate on them comfortable for livings beings suddenly moved away. Not able to resist the pull of two hearts of the universe meeting. Wasted time in Ira's opinion. But he always wanted to have the chance to see every little change of her appearance. In his opinion they both changed with the universes they wandered through and he thought he would manage to see what was going on just by the changing patterns on her skin. While she could only think of the moment in which they would have to part again.

The Fortune Teller found his way back to Fallen Gods Inc. when finding your 100% match you receive a pack of skins which contains the depth skin in a male and a female version. The skins are great and although the name reminds on oceans the skin itself also remind on the universe. The black outfit comes from the same store. It is unisex but there are different sizes for males and females included. The yellow/orange coat with the beautiful patterns and the fitting pants come from 22769. The set is currently sold at the Gallery Gift Shop one of the cutest sale events on the grid. Both parts are made of mesh and come in the standard sizes. A version for females is available at the same event.
Both hairs come from Wasabi Pills. The short one is currently sold at the Zombie Popcorn brand. It is made of unrigged mesh. This means it is mesh but it is possible to make it smaller or bigger like prim hair. The long hair is of course rigged mesh.
The background comes from Garden of Dreams. It is the Space Dream Scene. Besides of being awesome for pictures it gives the possibility to meditate or to do other things with friends.

Mushrooms

The only left of mankind was a rumor. But now and then archaeologists found runs which only could have been left by humans. It was normaly always a sensation when this happened. Although the buildings were way too big they were useful to grow dreammushrooms in them.  In their own houses the mushrooms never grew as big as they did in the ruins. There were different explantations for this. But the most common was that humans absorbed all the ideas around them so that the places were free of influence.  Most of the winged ones lived in high towers at the sea. And so did A'dhora de Falkenflügel. She was brave and pride like all the winged ones and beside this she was one of their future Queens. When flying home after hunting it happened to her that she got into a storm which blew her far into the land. Way further than anybody of her kin had ever went. The wind was so strong that she lost all her hunting equipment but the jewellry she always wore. It was the only sign of  noblesse she always kept and so she was quite happy that it was still with her. Not only because of its worth or its meaning but because of the dreammushroom seeds which had been used to build it. They would save her. Even more after she had found the ruin. After the storm had calmed down she started her work. Seed after seed was planted in the building. Then she went to sleep. It wasn't important that the storm had taken all her clothes. She was a winged one and the feathers on her body would keep her warm. The floor only lacked a bit of comfyness. But she knew that her moulting time would come soon so she could then use the old feathers as bed. Before the moulting she took care to collect enough berries and also to have enough water for the next time. It was her first moulting alone, the feeling of not being able to fly and at the same time the itching of the now growing feathers was quite unpleasant but at the same time she saw that the mushrooms grew very well. They were her hope and what would bring her back to her people at the end.  A'dhora didn't doubt at all. When the mushrooms would be ripe she would eat from one of the dreams which had grown inside of them and call her people. It was their way to communicate through distances. They would not let one of them without help and come to guide her back to the towers at the sea.

The feathers are the Fallen Gods Inc. Fantasy Faire relase. Those skins are perfect for all kind of beings with feathers if it is a raven or a dove. As special for the Fantasy Faire there has been released a Petite version of the Dove Feathers in Translucent. Those will be only available at the fantasy faire, which ends at Monday. So its time to hurry and to get one of those wonderful avatars. They come with two versions of the head a royal one and a elves one. The body is included in a pg and a normal version - for the pictures the pg one has been used. And of course there are also versions of those bodies included with hooves cut which allows to wear them with birdlegs, hooves or other kind of things to walk on.
The mushrooms are an other donation item from the faire. They come from Cerridwen's Cauldron. This store is one of the most wonderful stores for landscaping items in second life. They sell plants and more for many different kinds of surroundings and all of them are very well made and beautiful. Its amazing how many versions are included in the pack. The mushrooms come in four sizes and each of them in six colours.  All of them pulse which makes them look more fantastic and the  object in their head looks like they would give birth to a star soon.
The jewellery comes from Frippery. Its a special version of the Petite Faerie Queene Jewellery. The set includes a circlet, a necklace and a bracelet. Its amazing how small the Frippery designer can build. The set is just pretty.
The wings belong to a set from Angelwing. They go so well with the dove petites and are just beautiful.

Freedom in Red

Somewhere was a human child which maybe would be very unhappy when finding out that one of its best toys was missing but Sybil didn't care. Flying always had been something she dreamt of and when seeing the little red plane she knew that she had found what she had been searching for ages. It were ages in her opinion but the truth was she had decided that she wanted to fly about five days ago. Time feels different when being not so tall. Now she wanted to fly to the north pole. But first she had to cross the biggest lake she had ever seen.

Sybil knew that she had only gas for one more hour. Slowly she started to suppose that the big lake might actually be the ocean she had heard some stories about. She had always thought that those stories were nothing but lies but it seemed like this was wrong. When seeing the islands she started to feel better maybe she would find a gasstation on one of them. But it didn't seem like she would be lucky. Then she spotted the dragon and started to move her plane to fly to the beast. Maybe the dragon would not mind a hitchhiker.

The Fantasy Faire 2012 will start at the 21st April. Its definitly one of the best events in Second Life so all the participating stores create great items which are being sold as donationitems for Relay for Life. The plane rider ao from Creative Insanity will be one of those items. It works with Petite and normal avatars as the plane is included in two sizes. The animations are funny and the plane looks great. For the pictures the flying animation has been used. Because of the size of Petites the ao looks of course especially cute on them as it reminds on a doll which stole a toyplane to escape rude owners. The pictures have been taken on the Fallen Gods sims and the Petite Avatar also comes from this store. The hair is mesh hair from Wasabi Pills which has been rigged to fit Petites.

Lila and Purple

The flowers were in bloom like always. Lila didn't know any other season. Just the days when spring slowly floated into summer. She was one of the small people. And as beautiful as they were she was not too fond of wearing pretty gowns. Some other small people enjoyed sneaking into the houses of humans where they pretended to be dolls until somebody sewed clothes for them. But that was nothing Lila liked. She wanted to become a cat rider something only males could become.

She was supposed to become one of the sorceresses of her clan. Her whole life had been sorted in this way. Even her name represented the colour she would use in her magic one day. And her haircolour was magically changed to this colour as well as all her clothes. And she herself had to admit that the magic seemed to call her. She got along well with the other colours and was able to create some things allready. But there was that dream. Catriders were the ones who transported messages from clan to clan while riding on cats. And Lila wanted to see more of the world than just the forest where she lived. At someday she would find a solution, she was sure about this. And then she found the lost kitten in the forest. She had no clue where it came from but it was hungry and dirty. Lila started to care for it secretly. Being feed regularly the kitten grew fast and it was very tame at least when it came to Lila. It might have been her magical powers which allowed her to communicate better with the cat than any of the catriders did with theirs. So she started to train with the kitten secretly. Fitting to her own name she called it Purple. When she was completly sure that Purple obeyed to every of her thoughts she unveiled her secret. First people were shocked but her skills were so impressive that it was finally accepted that she owned and rode a cat. And having Purple allowed her to travel and to learn from other sorceresses so that her clan had some benefits because her subborn mind at the end.

I know Elizabeth Tinsley, the owner of frippery for some time now and her patience is something which is just impressive. The amount of time it took to create the Petite Faerie Queene jewellery must be imense. The set contains a circlet, necklace, earrings, a wristlet and a ring. The ring actually is contained three times in the set for each of the handpositions for petites. As the jewellery for humans from Frippery also the jewellery for petites has wonderful natural forms and just looks playful and elegant at the same time.
The Petite Faerie sets are available in seven colours and sold at Evie's closet where also the gown on the pictures comes from. Its called Elizabeth gown and also available in seven colours. The one on the pictures is the purple one. The gown can either be worn with long sleeves or sleeveless. It is of course very elegant and perfect for every petite queen or princess. The hair is the Orion hair from Wasabi Pills rigged for Petites and the used poses are the Jewelry Standing poses from Just a pose.

Croakie And Cutie

Jannina and Johanna Undershroom were twins, but sometimes even their mother had doubts about her two girls being siblings. Both were born with the fine green skin of the meadow pixies of the land, but the similarity ended there. Jannina was a real beauty, while the same inherited features became somewhat distorted on Johanna’s broad, froglike face… so much that their kinsfolk started calling them „Cutie” and „Croakie”. As the two girls grew, yet another difference became painfully obvious, though… that Jannina’s dreamlike traits covered a selfish and arrogant character, while plain Johanna was a nice, pleasant and helpful soul. 

One day the twins were doing their usual rounds in the woods, when they heard some feeble moaning from under a parasol mushroom. The moaner was a tiny and ancient man, and everybody well versed in the magical lore knows that such tiny and ancient men are usually powerful magicians in disguise. Furthermore, our learned readers also know that said tiny and ancient men usually ask for some favour, then they duly punish anyone answering their pleas in a high and mighty manner, while they fabulously reward the meek who lend them an ear and two hands.
The tiny person under the mushroom was an exemplary specimen of his kind, and so were the girls. Jannina answered his begging with a shrill and cheeky laughter, while Johanna just smiled and rolled up her sleeves… and later, when they returned to the village, their people just stood around and speechlessly stared at them. Because „Croakie” was a beautiful meadow pixie now, while „Cutie” wore some bright scars that disfigured her smooth beauty… as if their respective characters had been openly written on their small otherworldly faces.

Girls gotta eat

The fights took part every weekend. There were no rules so every weapon was allowed. Of course nobody used firearms those were kind of frowened upon. Cat had seen people using bow and arrow. Not a smart choice of weapon in her opinon but some people got got so scared when seeing them that they were not able to have on clear thought. Of course did Cat not belong to those. Only one guy once tried that with her after that bows got out of fashion. She had looked at him for a while then ran to him and cut the bowstring. Without the tension of the string the bow hit the other fighter in the face and made him loose so much concentration that Cat was able to put one of her knives on his throat. It was an easy fight in her opinion. But it was the fight which finally got her the respect she wanted. The fights were a good and easy way to get money. She lived now for a year pretty well from them. Sometimes she got hurt badly and she did not win every fight but it was going well. Of course she would have a secure and less painfull income if she would still work in an office as she had done before but this had been boring and Cat was a being of the street. Her childhood had been a mix of fights and calm time in corners waiting for what would happen next. She did not know anymore what had made her work in a office maybe she had not seen an other way. But with those fights she had found one. Some saw the fact that she had paws as weakness. They tried to stomp onto them while wearing heavy boots. A tactic which wasn't dumb but lacking of elegance. Normaly Cat reacted with grabbing the drink of somebody from the audience and spilling it on the floor. It was rare that her opponents had a clue how to fight on a wet underground and she was able to feel how slick every centimetre under her paws was. Others tried to flirt with her before the fights. Cat was always surprised that they thought she would fight less hard with them because of that. The surprise of those guys was quite bigger when they lost at the end the fight with her. But Girls gotta eat. Or at least have enough money to buy a nice collection of knives.

As roleplaying in Lost Angels it was not possible to oversee, how well the Tactical Throwing Knives from Messer Co. go with some outfits. Although not being into fighting there was no different way than buying them. Which was a good decision as the description on the vendor was pure understatement. Beside the fact that the knives can be used as throwing knives and as melee weapon and have special ccs attacks, they have a great menu which offers many choices for the design of the knives. Its possible to resize the sheaths and to choose if those should be worn with straps or not. A nice idea is that its possible to resize the straps seperated from the sheaths. There are several designs for the knives, they can be black or bloodcovered for example. Beside the eight appearance options of the knives there are three for the sheaths. On the ccs side – CCS is the abbreviation of Community Combat System which is the combat system which is being used in Lost Angels – the special buffs the weapons offer cost up to three racial points. Using the buffs the knives cause a higher damage and allow to steal the stamina of the opponent in a fight. Those who are not into ccs fighting can switch the knives to linden damage and use them at places where this kind of damage is activated.
The next wave of the Zombie Popcorn Brand started today. Sakide made a skintight outfit for this event. It comes with two kind of tops - one in black and one in white- which are both also included in a sheer version. The pants also belong to this set which also containes shoes. There are two versions of the pants included one with closed and one with open zipper. The paws with the barbwire and the bloody legwarmers are available in the same event. They come from epic. And of course they are wellmade. The design looks great and for those who prefer hooves there is also a version with two kinds of hooves (black and white ones) available.

Fin problems

Hippos were wise. Ayani Mimpfenbach knew this and so she used one of her rare hipposeeds to grew one. It wasn't ripe yet but allready able to give her advice. And advice was something Ayani needed. Maybe it would have been better to ask before she tried the spell which would make her a mermaid. But somehow she had supposed that everybody would have told her not to do it so she didn't share any of her plans. The result was very visible. Instead of swimming around and singing she got two horns. Not even like antlers or something she could somehow explain like treelike ones it were fin horns. It was not even possible to use them to hang up the laundry, of the tiny panda's she kept, on them. The only thing she liked about the horns was that they fit well to her hair. But nothing more.

Ayani really needed to get rid of them. A Mimpfenbach with finhorns that was something which would have caused a scandal. So Ayani was studying lots of magic books to learn how to get rid of the fins again. Her little friends helped her. Well not always the pandas always insisted on getting their morning teabath and the cat normaly wanted to play a bit but things seemed to work well. At least that was what she thought. When nearly falling asleep because of the comfy sounds the pandas made in their hot tea Ayani suddenly realized that she was able to hear way better than she ever had done before. It was amazing. And she even was able to move her finhorns in the direction where a sound came from. This was very very intresting in her opinion. The sparkles on her skin glew a bit brighter while she was pondering. Was there a way to use this ability? She pondered while reading with less intrest in her magic books. Maybe it would be better to keep the horns? Finally she had the right thought. Some magicians got paid a lot when they helped people to listen to conversations which took part in some distance. She should be able to listen to that kind of conversation too. Ayani was right about this and she did not need long to start to use her new talent. She actually became one of the most successful spys ever. She got called the living unidirectional microphone.

The petites avatars are just lovely. They have been invented by Yabusaka. He made the system very open so other stores are able to develop items for those mesh avatars, which are as high as a boot and work with normal poses and aos.
The Royale pack from Fallen Gods Inc. comes with three different skin versions and also three versions of the dresses. With the help of a hud its possible to choose between different makeups and with an other hud its possible to choose if the avatar should be full bright, smile and some more things.
Many stores made allready items for Petites. The hair on this avatar comes from Wasabi Pills. They rigged their Orion Hair so that it fits also Petite Avatars. As the hair is long it fits to every fantasy look. Frippery is known for their very detailed jewelry. They used their talents to build wonderful outfits made of roses for Petites. The roses are available in many colours and the sets contain a top and a bottom. The sparkles for petites are an other item from frippery. They are also available in many colours - the ones on the pictures are the ones in rainbow - and the sets contain animated and static versions.
The head fins are wonderful roleplay items from Material Squirrel they have the benefit to come in a version for petites and normal avatars in one pack. So they are great to use when roleplaying for example to be turned into a petite or a petite roleplaying to be turned big suddenly. Beside this they are wonderfully textured and scripted. There are actually several textures included which can be changed by touching the horns and choosing. An other nice extra is that there also animations inbuilt into the horns.
The whole decorations come from the Drowsy hunt. In this hunt you have to search for books which are spread all over the Drowsy sim. It took around two hours to find all 20 items but that time was definitly worth it all of them are very cute and the sim is awesome.
When Mavi Beck made the Picture Perfect poses she had no clue how well those would go with Petites as those were not invented when she made those poses. They are very elegant and great for fashion shoots.

Thor

Luckily it was winter. Else the scream of anger which was running through the mountains would have woken more than some birds. Luckily the bear in a nearby cave had problems with its ears else it would have been massivly disturbed in its hibernation. Thor was really angry. So he was on his way home. Frozen waterfalls started to move under his feet. Ice floating like cold lava. He was tempted to smash his hammer into the liquid but on the other hand he knew that he could split a mountain and he was still controlling him enough to keep himself from doing so.

With an other jump he made his way down. This was the fifth mountain he crossed. And there were some more to come. With every step he became faster and the hammer in his hands felt lighter. He was on the way to fight a giant. The huge one had dared to insult the one the god loved. Now he would have to fight. Maybe that had been the reason for his missbehaviour. Many had tried to gain the god's hammer. But none of them ever had been successful. It would not be different this time. Thor knew this. The giant learned it on the hard way.

Steam the hunt is running for the sixth time now. 22769 takes part in the hunt and they created a great thor steampunk outfit. It comes even with a hammer. The other parts of it are a vest, fitting trousers a belt and a chestpart. All of those in typical steampunk colours. The chestpart contains some glowing lights and of course gears. The skin used comes from Fallen Gods Inc.. Its the angelus skin which is great for heros. Wasabi Pills made the hair. This is the male version of the dragon hair.

Fester

The light in the castle was green. There had been humans who became sick only because of the light. Not that any of those who lived in the castle cared about this. More suffering made the things even more intresting. Ages ago Fester had been an elf. Now only some ancient trees remembered the time when he walked frolicing through the forest. Everything could have been perfect. He was the young lord of an old elf clan and supposed to marry the one he loved soon. But then she disappeared. There were rumors that she had been kidnapped by drow and Fester tried to find her. After spending ages in the woods following traces only he could see he had to find out that she had not been kidnapped. She had left by free will with the drow. When Fester found the two she started to beg him to take her back but having been worried about her for so long and finding her with somebody else and not even willing to stand to her desicion made him so angry that he lost his selfcontroll. It wasn't hate what he felt. He despised her. The drow wasn't an opponent for him. Fester fought him down quickly. There was no reason to let the man suffer. But her he wanted to see in pain.

Of course he had known about the castle and he told her that he would let her rest there. If he would have been completly honst he would have added the word final but there was no more reason for him to be honest to her. She was scared, there were rumors about the castle. It was said that it would influence the beings inside of it. But she knew that she had made a mistake so she did not want to doubt his desicions and followed him. Maybe it was the castle, maybe his rage which made him torture her on the most horrible ways. As he always took care only to hurt her in a way which would be really painful and not kill her the torture took weeks. And he changed in this time. His pointy ears became like the ears of humans and he grew antlers while his eyes turned red. Fester did not only torture her he also cut into his own skin but his scars healed imediatly, which made him more angry. He hated to fail in expressing how much she had hurt his heart. Not careing if he would stay alive he used his knife to open his chest and to cut his heart out. A smirk was resting on his lips while he forced her to eat it. After this moment he had been completly turned. A black heart grew inside of his chst and finally he killed her. It wasn't a death by mercy he had become bored of her and lusted for a new victim.

The owner of Miamai and A:S:S are friends so its not surprising that their items fit well together. For example this coat for men from the Miamai Blacklabel with the feastring from A:S:S deluxe. The coat comes with sculpted sleeves, a great collar and shoulderpads which look like having been made of elegantly formed stones decorated with gems. The set includes pants and also a band to wear around the hips and lower stomach. The coat could either be worn with plain black or with white black fur in the inside. The feast ring from A:S:S deluxe could be described best with "the beauty of decay". It is big and extravagant and as beautiful it is there are maggots on it. The ring has a resizescript which makes it very comfy to adjust it perfectly. The antlers come from material squirell they have the option to tint them in several colours. They are made of nonrigged mesh which explains why they look so smooth. The skin is the angelus skin from Fallen Gods Inc. which also works for pale more evil roleplay characters and the hair comes from Wasabi Pills and is also made of mesh. The boots from DragansVarg are for females but they are mod so it was possible to make them bigger to use them with a male avatar.

Changeling

The light fell on her antlers and made them look like they would be glowing. In the heart of winter Eyllis always returned to the dirty old street where she grew up. Not that anybody would have been able to see her or even to touch her. She seemed to be invisible for the most humans. Some saw her and supposed that she might be a ghost which came around to haunt them.

Eyllis was of course not the first name she had gotten. When she had been born her human parents gave her the name Susanna. It always felt wrong for her but even when she was in the age that she would have been able to change her her name she did not know what different name she could choose. Normaly she felt like she would be at the completly wrong place. There was always something missing. Then one day she saw the old fae and the fae saw her and made her an offer. They would exchange their identities and the old fae would spend the rest of her years in human company while Susanna would start a life in the company of mysticial creatures. Antlers started to grow out of her head and she became able to see in the night. After a while she was not able to describe how glad she was that she never had been baptized else she would never have had the chance to be happy as changeling.

Material Squirrel is a wonderful store when it comes to fantasy accessories like wings. Now they released their first mesh items which are horns and antlers. At the antlers the benefits of mesh are well visible. There are no parts where the textures do not fit perfectly and all connections look natural. Beside this it is possible to choose between several textures and as the antlers aren't rigged they even come with a resize option. The boots are an other meshitem. They come from Miamai and are available in several colours. The shading is very beautiful and I like the asymetrical look of the boots as the lacing isn t in the middle but on their side. The biggest benefit of meshboots is of course that they bend with the movement of the leg so that the time of prims getting through the knee is over. The boots are included in a smaller and a bigger version and alphalayers for both of those. They fit also small avatars. The white outfit comes from deviousMind. Their items always have great textures. This set also contains stockings and a hat but as stockings normaly do not look good in high boots and hats and antlers are not always friends I did not show those items. The skirt comes in two versions a shorter one and a longer one and there are several options how to wear the outfit. For example the corset could also be worn with suspenders and of course its also possible to wear it without the pasties or without the collar.
