Mushrooms

The only left of mankind was a rumor. But now and then archaeologists found runs which only could have been left by humans. It was normaly always a sensation when this happened. Although the buildings were way too big they were useful to grow dreammushrooms in them.  In their own houses the mushrooms never grew as big as they did in the ruins. There were different explantations for this. But the most common was that humans absorbed all the ideas around them so that the places were free of influence.  Most of the winged ones lived in high towers at the sea. And so did A'dhora de Falkenflügel. She was brave and pride like all the winged ones and beside this she was one of their future Queens. When flying home after hunting it happened to her that she got into a storm which blew her far into the land. Way further than anybody of her kin had ever went. The wind was so strong that she lost all her hunting equipment but the jewellry she always wore. It was the only sign of  noblesse she always kept and so she was quite happy that it was still with her. Not only because of its worth or its meaning but because of the dreammushroom seeds which had been used to build it. They would save her. Even more after she had found the ruin. After the storm had calmed down she started her work. Seed after seed was planted in the building. Then she went to sleep. It wasn't important that the storm had taken all her clothes. She was a winged one and the feathers on her body would keep her warm. The floor only lacked a bit of comfyness. But she knew that her moulting time would come soon so she could then use the old feathers as bed. Before the moulting she took care to collect enough berries and also to have enough water for the next time. It was her first moulting alone, the feeling of not being able to fly and at the same time the itching of the now growing feathers was quite unpleasant but at the same time she saw that the mushrooms grew very well. They were her hope and what would bring her back to her people at the end.  A'dhora didn't doubt at all. When the mushrooms would be ripe she would eat from one of the dreams which had grown inside of them and call her people. It was their way to communicate through distances. They would not let one of them without help and come to guide her back to the towers at the sea.

The feathers are the Fallen Gods Inc. Fantasy Faire relase. Those skins are perfect for all kind of beings with feathers if it is a raven or a dove. As special for the Fantasy Faire there has been released a Petite version of the Dove Feathers in Translucent. Those will be only available at the fantasy faire, which ends at Monday. So its time to hurry and to get one of those wonderful avatars. They come with two versions of the head a royal one and a elves one. The body is included in a pg and a normal version - for the pictures the pg one has been used. And of course there are also versions of those bodies included with hooves cut which allows to wear them with birdlegs, hooves or other kind of things to walk on.
The mushrooms are an other donation item from the faire. They come from Cerridwen's Cauldron. This store is one of the most wonderful stores for landscaping items in second life. They sell plants and more for many different kinds of surroundings and all of them are very well made and beautiful. Its amazing how many versions are included in the pack. The mushrooms come in four sizes and each of them in six colours.  All of them pulse which makes them look more fantastic and the  object in their head looks like they would give birth to a star soon.
The jewellery comes from Frippery. Its a special version of the Petite Faerie Queene Jewellery. The set includes a circlet, a necklace and a bracelet. Its amazing how small the Frippery designer can build. The set is just pretty.
The wings belong to a set from Angelwing. They go so well with the dove petites and are just beautiful.

Drink the anger

Reading was always one of her preperations. She spend a night before she started to work on reading about everything humans did not like. Her black eyes gliding over the lines of letters and her thoughts focused on finding ideas about how to cause chaos and anger. Those feelings were the ones she lived from. She sucked them in with her beak like a perverted big version of a bumblebee.

She was well prepared for her work, her feet were clean so that she would not leave any footsteps. She only visited the houses where people lived who did not believe in Santa Claus anymore. It would not have been right to mess up his work but those who did not believe anymore in the magic of christmas were her victims. She went into their houses and then she started to exchange gifts. It was her fault when women got a vacum cleaner as gift or when men got their 138st tie. Of course she took care that children got boring books and clothes which itched. She was really good in her job. And she caused so many arguments each christmas. But she was simply so hungry.

There are so many amazing gifts among the giving circle ones. The fireplace is a part of the gift from the looking glass. Its a very lovely one and the socks let it fit to the season. The bed from Mole End also is one of those gifts. Mole End belongs Evangeline Miles who is also the owner of Evie's closet. The bed comes in a linked and an unlinked version so its possible to take away some of the decorations if needed. At Angelwing is currently a christmas hunt going on. There are several wings hidden in the store which contain full outfits (for women). The Xylia one is one of those. It has many lovely prim parts like the bands for the ankles and the flute at the necklace. The mask is currently a groupgift from Contraption. It is only available at Christmas.

Purple gods

Isor felt emotions run through his body when recognizing that his servant did not full fill the tasks he told him to do. It was always the same with those servants. He did not want to have them. But he was one of the last living gods in this corner of the known world so he had to deal with them. Humans who came to serve him. Mainly their intentions were the wrong ones. They hoped to gain knowlege from him. Others hoped to seduce him and to become immortal. But the last human who had managed to seduce him was a goddess herself living on a nearby island.

Isor remembered the moment he saw her for the first time. She had come to his temple to seek help for her ill lover. In Isors opinion that lover had been a worthless being. His illness had been caused by drinking too much of the nectar of the fivepetalled purple Orchid. This drug caused illness among the ones with lack in will and intelligence. But the will and the devotion of the woman who loved this ill man intrigued Isor. He healed her lover but demanded from her to serve him for five years. She was desperate enough to agree so she started to work in his temple. Isor spend a lot of time talking with her. The more they discussed the more he wanted her. He would have been able to force her to be with him but he wanted her to be with him by free will. And she really seemed to fall in love with him, they shared the bed with each other and she had not to work for him anymore. He only wanted her to be around him. But after a while she demanded to work again. She told him that she would need to work with her hands. Isor supposed that this was a normal human need so he agreed. But his normaly so cold blood boiled when he found out that she had an affair with his favourite cook. Then he started to plan his revenge. He watched her and found out that she really loved the cook. It was a shock for him and he only wanted to punish her. His revenge seemed to be not a revenge at all but he was a god and knew the pain of immortality. He turned her into an immortal without her knowledge. Not even telling her what he did. His hearts were filled by dark emotions but he didn't show any of them to her until the last day of the five years. At this day he told her that he had made her immortal. She left his temple filled with pride and joy. Secretly giggling inside her mind as she thought that she had managed to cheat on a god. The cook left the temple with her for a while they lived together. When her lover became older and older and died she realised that Isor must have known about her betrayal. Her powers had been grown during her abnormaly long life and although she was not able to keep her lover from ageing and dieing she was able to heal sick humans. Not knowing what else to do she started to use that ability to help others. She was very sad as she knew that she would never see her true love again. Her soul being caught in an immortal body. The humans called her the healing sorrow. Isor sometimes heared stories about her in his temple. But he was still angry at her else he would have given her the power to end her life.

After her he never used his powers again to make a human immortal. Of course they came to his temple hopeing that he would do so. He accepted when they wanted to serve him and all his servants became much older than a normal human. But all of them died after around twohundred years. Isor knew whom he had told to mow the lawn. It was that new servant. Then he remembered that he saw this servant speak with his sister.

He moved faster starting to search for his sibling. But when he finally found her talking with her favourite alligator he knew that he was too late. Ishta smiled when seeing her brother. The alligator grinned up to him. Isor was not sure if its name was Fluffy or Cutie he never managed to keep all the names, Ishta gave the alligator, in mind. The god formed his hands to fists when seeing both lick at the same moment over their lips. Ishta beamed up to him looking lightly guilty. Isor bend down to stroke the alligator not even asking what they did with the servant.

The purple versions of the scales skins from Fallen Gods Inc. have been only sold for two hours during the fantasy faire. At this week a silent auction, in which a female and a male version of the skin are available, takes place. The auction is organized by Friends fighting Cancer, the relay for life team which also organizes the Fantasy Faire. The skins are great and perfect for roleplaying as demon or dragon or a creature I can not think of. There are also other items in the auction so its worth to visit the place where it takes place. The auction will end at Sunday, June 26 5pm SLT.
The white long hair with the two braids in the front is the latest release from Wasabi Pills. It has also a braid at each side which keep it out of the face. Those braids are joined on the backside. It is great for elven warriors, adventurers and everybody else. It is copy and mod and has a resize script so it also fits women.
The short orange/yellow silks are the gift from Al Jamal in the menstuff hunt. The silks are full of details and colourful. And of course the primparts come with resize scripts.
The white outfit is the Adorabelle set in white and silver from Angelwing. The set contains many prim parts, some of them were not used for the picture. For example the wing and the staff. Very nice are the many extras which are included into the set. There is a stripable versions of the clothing as well as lockmeister compatible cuffs in the set as well as unscripted versions of the primparts. The outfit is available in several colours.

Strawberries with Ice

Ines was an ice fairy. She only knew snow and ice. Her wings were made for the cold climate. Normal wings would break if they would be covered with ice. Ine's wings were more flexible. Ice fairies were also a bit rougher than other fairies. Ines family were hunter. They hunted big moths which lived in icecaves in the mountains. Those moths had amazing wing which were like leather. The icefairies used them to create stunning dresses with them. The parts they did not need, for example the legs, they exchanged for cloth. It was a calm life and Ines liked it.

But one day she found a iced strawberry at the shore. She had never seen such a fruit before and was very irritated by it. Ines poked the strawberry with her finger and pulled it back quickly. By mistake she licked over her finger and was stunned. The glimps of sweetness was nearly too much for her. The icefairy used a knive to cut a little piece out of the strawberry and ate it. It was intense but also seemed like it would be even more intense if it would not be frozen.

It was a tough desicion but at the end Ines decided to search for the source of the strawberries. She also supposed that they were a good item to trade although she did not really know what would be worth to be traded against a strawberry. She flew for a long time until she reached the summerlands. It was very warm in her opinion so she took off her dress. And then she found fresh strawberries. Ines slowly picked one of the red fruits and put it in her mouth. The taste was amazing she had supposed that they would taste better when they would be fresh but she had not been prepared on this taste. It was so tasty and exciting that even her wings started to glow in shades of red and pink. Ines never went pack to her cold homelands instead she stayed in the summerlands and became the most famous strawberry grower which ever existed. If a strawberry is very tasty its most likely one of Ines strawberries.

The blue gown, which looks like being made for elves, is one of the donationitems from Demons and Angel's.It is very well textured and has an intresting cut. The belt has a shield on the front side which has the colours of the corset. It looks like the skirt and the sleeves are made of heavy cloth. So its a good elegant gown which could be worn in winter or colder areas. The set even includes boots.
Demons and Angel's has also a great outfit for men in the silent auction which will end at saturday.
Material Squirrel created those wonderful wings as donation item for the faire. They are available in many colours and four designs. The wings come in packs which contain ten different colours. They all come of course with the Material Squirrel wing hud and the possibility to touch them. The ones on the upper pictures are a bit darker in the colours and might fit well to a fairy which is not as jolly as a fairy with colourful wings.
The skin is the azure version of the Crystal Fae wings from Fallen Gods Inc.. I love the colour and the elegance of the skin. They are only sold at the fantasy faire yet. The modesty cover made of wings is a gift on the faire from Fallen Gods Inc. too. For this post I used one of the Fae versions of the skin. Those have wing textures in the face and on the body.
This version of the hair from Wasabi Pills is a donation item one. It has been made to fit the crystal skins perfectly.
Even the butterfly on the third picture is a donation item. It flys around the avatar and comes from Angelwing.
The big strawberry comes from Rebel Xtravaganza. Its made to sit on it.

Hidden talents

Edita was a special elf. Her ears looked like somebody pulled on them for hours and her hair. Just not like elf hair. It even looked greasy. But the worst was her behaviour. She wanted to be a fae. Of course she didn't look at all like one of those elegant and beautiful beings. She was dirty, her skin was so rotten that it needed to be stitched from time to time. And she drank. She drank much. But one day she was allready drunk when walking to the distillery. So by mistake she tool the wrong way and ended up in the forge. It was empty as the blacksmith had fallen for a centaur he shoed - but thats an other story. So Edita made her way into the forge.
She had to test all the materials the blacksmith left behind. And she was really surprised about her talent.
First she made herself a pair of wings. It was a mix of cloth and metal and it looked great. She also managed to build fitting jewlery. Edita wasn t the only one who liked her creations. A lot of people came and bought her wings and her jewlery.
So soon she was a rich woman. She bought new clothes. And new hair. And one day she met a magician in the distillery.
It wasn't cheap and it hurt a lot but after a week she had real wings.
Elizabeth Tinsley of Frippery and Cane Sutter of Skinthesis are not only great designers well they are great designers but that means that they are also rather creative. So they had the idea of creating a fairy set which fits to the season. So Frankenfae was born. They invited their friends to take part in the creation of Frankenfairy. So Evie's Closet created a cute a bit torn fairy dress, Angelwings came up with a funny green dress with lots of patches and Milli from No Strings Attached build some great poses (she always builds great poses) which fit perfectly to the theme. Combining those items with the metal wings from Frippery and the skin and the hair from Skinthesis its a great mix for a spooky looking fairy avatar. Its possible to buy the single parts so you could build up your own Franken Fairy.
