X-II-218

The night was like all nights before. Calm, nearly no wind. With her highly sensitive sensors X-II-218 was able to hear the singing of some strange cults which prayed to machine gods. If she hadn't been forced to wear the collar X-II-218 easily could have been one of those gods. But she was controlled by humans. Her state wouldn't change for the next 20 years at least then she would be free to explore what ever she wanted. It was a deal every artificial intellegence had to make with those who created them. All of them were property at least for 50 years. The first ones had been owned all the time but as soon some humans realized that those beings were machines but with consciousness they wanted to liberate them. So now all artificial intellegences were asked a moment after they had been turned on if they would like to be shut off again or if they aggreed to work until the coasts for their creation would be repayed. X-II-218 worked as undercover cop. At the moment she looked like one of the beings who normaly lived on a planet with the name Terra-Sol-00BFFF. There had been rumors that those would sell drugs to humans. It wasn't interesting for her but maybe those strange machine sects might be useful soon. Some time ago Adam and Eve released a wonderful line of fantasy skins called Amaris. They are available in several colours. The blue one used for the pictures is great to use it as base for a water or as in this case for a robot like avatar. As all Adam and Eve skins the set includes makeups, nailpolish and more.The darkblue lipstick for example belongs to the set itself. Amaris is one of those skins which work with many shapes so I took the pictures using my own shape and really like the result.
The hair is the Teeloh  hair by Wasabi Pills in aquatic. The texture of the hairbase which comes with it is great. It makes one imagine how it might feel under the fingers.
The clothes come from a store called Apricot Paws. Its one of those small stores with great clothes. Those silks are very versatile so its possible to wear them in several ways. They even go well in combination with the cyberishs boots and accessory made by Ezura Xue (eX). Apricot Paws also sells mesh sweater which are definitly worth a look. The silks themself come on several layers and can be worn without the loincloth. For the pictures I copied the loincloth prim and attached it also on the backside.

Pondering about a ring

Rena was insecure. She was even very insecure. The proposal had been a big surprise and now she was not sure how to deal with it. So she sat down for a while. Her hands wandered up to her hairband and she played with it while her eyes wandered to the ring.

She never had seen a beautiful ring like this. It was so stunning. Her eyes followed all the tiny decorations at it. Rena admired the butterfly for some moments. Then she made a desicion. She did not want to give the engagment ring back. And then she thought that a guy who was able to choose such a nice ring might not be the worst. Of course he had been her boyfriend for only the last five years but at least there was still the possibility to divorce.

After she pulled her hairband out of her locks she started to wonder about the question what kind of wedding gown she should wear. The question if Aunt Anna should sit next to Grandfather Tom at the wedding or better next to one of her friends, kept Rena's mind busy for the next hours.

L. Fauna released a new line of skins. They are called Lea. The skins come in several skintones (pale, tan and dark and in each of those in three different tones) and which is special every skinpack contains the skin in four different versions for different breast sizes. There are also fitting shapes to the skins available. The shapes and skins are very cute. Very useful is that there are several eyebrows are included. Those don't come on the tattoo layer. The designer put them onto the hair layer instead of that. This is very smart in my opinion as she also designed several makeups for the tattoo layer. So that users who use phoenix or an other viewer which only supports one tattoo layer don't have a problem. The shape I used for the pictures is also contained in the skinpack.
The outfit on the first picture comes from acid and mala. The set with the top contains also a dress. The trousers are the gift int he depraved summer nights hunt from the same store. Their texture is very well made and they are unisex. So might work well in the switch your gender for 0 linden challenge.

The hair is one of the latest releases from Wasabi Pills. It could be worn with or without the hairband. The look is very cute and the hairband has the option to be tinted in several colours so that it fits perfectly to every outfit. It is available in a wide range of colours. Very nice is also that the hair has less then 50 prims.

I missed you dear blog

Arghhh I've been having internet issues for the best part of a week and although things have improved, they are still unresolved, but at least i'm back up & running in the world of blogging! oh and how I missed it. Well canIi apologise straight away if the quality of the pics isn't as good as it could be, but I was so keen to get a post published that I haven't devoted time to editing the pics...hope that doesn't defeat the object to much.

 In my first post for a week I wanted to give you a daytime  & night time look. I'm gonna be living in these dungarees! I absolutely LOVE everything from sheepdoor ! it's all unisex & so the dungarees are a great idea for change your gender challenge especially since they are a free group gift!

Another one of my favourites stores ( yeah I know I have many but there's so much great stuff out there!)  is Awram Viie and If you haven't already, get down there A.S.A.P for the latest luckyboard offerings. There are 2 dresses and this is one of them, oh but do beware this one barely covers your modesty :)

Black Eric

They called him Eric the black. Not because of his hair. He tinted it regularly and nobody had a clue which colour it normaly had. Eric got his name because he was one of the bravest surfers in the area. His face normaly told a story about this.

He went surfing when all his friends stayed at home. He was the one who even was on the water when it was clear that a thunderstorm would start in the next ten minutes but he loved it. He enjoyed the challenge very much.

But to surf so much really made a difference. So it was him who won all contests. And he was the one who became a famous designer of surf clothing and surfboards after his carrer as surfer. They all had supposed that he would be insane but he only was crazy enough to be really good in everything he did.

Quite often new second life residents cross my way and it is often tricky for me to help the male ones to dress up so that they look less like a newbie. I do not really have a clue about free items for guys so I started a challenge on flickr with the title "Switch your gender for 0 Linden". The task is to create an avatar of the gender you normaly not use in second life without paying a linden for it. I have to admit I failed because I used eyes from Sterling artistry eyes which are 50 Linden and this version of the avatar is barefoot which is also not really perfect so I need to try it again. But its a start I guess.
When visiting the skin and shape expo 2011 I picked up the gift shapes from moonlight shapes. There was a male shape in the gift which has the name Carl. The skin is a gift from sacred. To get it you need to take part in a enquiry. Its a really great skin and I love the wounds it has.
The hair is a combination of a hairtattoo from white widow in the skate'n surf hunt and hair from blackmaria, a cool japanese store which has lots of free punk hair. The clothing also comes from the skate'n surf hunt. The top is the gift from Orquidea and the shorts the male gift from apricot paws.

Dressed for the beach

Spending a day at the beach. And of course wearing a bikini. But the sunblocker was a bit old so it turned out into strange patterns because of being a bit glue like.
The skate'n surf hunt started at saturday and the gifts in it are great. Fauna showed allready many of them and looked just great in the outfits. So here a bikini I love. It comes from Apricot Paws. The stripes i described as sunblocker are from enlil. They are tintable so you could simply use them as body paint. The wristlet is a hunt gift was well. The colours fit well to the water theme. It is the gift at Frippery. Even the pose is a huntgift. It was created by Suri the owner of SocialAngtz a very cool posestore.
