A Dragon's Christmas - POE5, MFH VII, TRH II Hunts

Oneiria felt awkward without her usual wings and teeth. She always felt awkward in her human form, that tiny two-legged shape was more a burden than a pleasure, so slow, so weak. Yet… Prince Talias, her fiancé, had never seen her in her real form, a magnificent red-and-gold dragon. Dearest Talias, he wanted to marry her, and he intended to break the news with his family at Christmas Eve... and what could Oneiria do? She would play along, she indeed liked Talias quite much, he was handsome, patient and generous.

Christmas Eve... Oneiria remembered those evenings with her own family, the feast, the fun, the laughter. Her folk was gone by now, but she still could hear the chatter and the music, her little brothers howling and giggling, and she still could smell the delicious roast her mother used to prepare. Mmmmm... the roast. Maybe she could have that this Christmas. Talias and his family were well fed, nice people, she recalled. Oneiria softly cackled and her golden eyes twinkled ominously. Christmas time wasn’t that ugly, after all.

You’re forced to pick what you like most, which doesn’t mean that the other gifts are worthless or ugly... only that you, one little blogger, do indeed have limited time to show the world one small slice of SL creativity. So, where to begin?

Divine Blues

She used to be a member of the Sapphire Tribe, she remembered that very well. Many, many aeons before her world had been vivid, happy and busy… she could hear the voices of men and women and children every evening she climbed up on top of the Tower, in order to taste a bit of everyday life before she had to commence night service, as usual. She had been taken from her family in order to serve the Goddess at the tender age of a hundred and fifty years… oh yes, she still remembered the excruciating pain. Her mother and siblings had been inconsolable… or so she thought, as she hadn’t talked to them any more. Rubbing shoulders with „ordinary” folk wasn’t permitted to the Selected One. 

She was carefully educated by the Elders, and after five hundred years of apprenticeship she was allowed to raise the Moon all alone for the first time. She still got goosebumps at the memory of that very special night. Then… something went wrong. Slowly, yet without any doubt whatsoever. At first, she noticed that the evening buzz and humming and chattering of the city became weaker day by day. People just disappeared from the streets, the murmuring sounds seemed to grow dimmer, and dimmer yet. Then, one evening… all she could hear from the Tower was silence. 

She was shocked… but she remembered she had taken a solemn oath to serve the Goddess and raise the Moon each and every night, until Death decided to come for her. She was alone, her only company were the memories and the ghosts of the past, yet she climbed up on top of the Tower, and silently whispered an ancient prayer before she touched the chilly globe. „Raise, Moon, and spread your rays... I shall always be here to welcome you when your duty is done.”

Myth and Legends Hunt 2

Today the myth and legends hunt started. Here is a link to the blog with the hints.

This is the gift from Mystic hope. It contains a gown for women and a suit for men. They fit very well together so it might be a good idea to wear the outfits when going dancing together.

These set looks rather nice but when you have a closer look at the textures of the outfits your skin starts to itch. The cloth looks like it is rather itchy. But beside this the outfits have both very well made textures - they wouldn t be well made if they wouldn t cause the feeling of itching skin - and also those outfits are great as they fit so well together. The dress is build on an intresting way. The upper part is a prim.

Those butterfly wings are the gift from *The Faerie Wind*. Just when i went to the store i saw a lot of people and found out that they have been there to get the dress which is seeable on the picture. Its a gift for the members of Fab Free group.

Pretty in brown

Standing around and looking impressive in a brown gown.
This gown is really pretty. If somebody would have told me i would love a brown dress i would have simply laughed at this person. But this gown is really great. The cut is elegant and simple at the same time.
