The Forest Guardian

Laerornel Treesong eyed the suspicious bump protruding from the smooth and even forest floor. „Oh, those pesky moles!” – she thought - „They are up to no good again…” As Forest Guardian, she was supposed to keep the little parcel of ground in pretty neat order… no disorderly vines spreading their sneaky tendrils wherever they wanted to, no red poppies in the ocean of white flowers. The bump moved again, almost invisibly, yet it moved. Something green appeared among the soft clods of deep brown earth. It was not a mole. It was... a plant. It had something colourful, like a bud, on the stem that drilled through the earth with determination. “I should uproot this rebel!” – Laerornel Treesong murmured to herself; then she stood still for a while. “Maybe I’ll do it tomorrow. Maybe it is an unauthorised plant... but it might also happen that it’s utterly beautiful”. She tiptoed away from the newcomer in the forest, already looking forward to next day’s visit at the silent and peaceful patch among the trees.

Spring is indeed around the corner IRL, too… so why not to wear something fresh and green, with flowers and tree leaves?

It’s Not Easy, Bein’ Green

Fern O’Shaughnessy lived the quiet life of a wood pixie. From Spring to Autumn she took care of the mushrooms, the wild flowers, and – of course – the tufts of fern that were growing in her hidden cove among the green hills of Ireland. In Winter she curled up in a comfortable burrow and slept until the first ray of March sun tickled her nose. She was generally happy… yet something secretly gnawed on her soul. She knew there lived some creatures called „humans” not very far from her place… and a starling told her that „human” girls didn’t have green spots or mushrooms growing on their skins, and they wore „dresses” instead of fern blades. Then, one day, Fern O’Shaughnessy heard some noise from behind a bush.

 

The noise was made by a leprechaun… a funny green creature, like herself, thought Fern and chuckled. The leprechaun heard her and frowned: „Why are you giggling, you silly craythur? Do you think it’s easy, being green?” Then the leprechaun started chuckling, too. „No, you must know what it means… right, Fern? I know of your secret wish, by the way… and, as I’m in good mood today, I’m willing to grant you it…” – said he, and his chuckles slowly turned into a sinister cackle.

   

Poof! Gone were the mushrooms, the green spots, the skirt and blouse made of fern… and there stood a pretty Irish colleen, green-eyed and jet-haired, dressed up in a marvellous gown… with a silly green tophat firmly attached to her head. „So that you never ever forget that it’s not easy bein’ green!” – echoed the cackling voice of the leprechaun among those emerald Irish hills.

Becoming an Orb

She had spend the days with wandering around. And she had changed from day to day. She had been a fairy, a mermaid and she had been in her true dragon form. But now the time had come to become finally something different.

It was time to become an orb. And so she got finally transformed only floating pure esscence. Flying weightless and sparkling. She had lost all her boundries and was just light and contentedness.

Last night the story of Ilear and her crowning ended at the Enchanted Mysts sim of the fantasy faire. The gifts in this quest were great and they are still available. Many stores put items on the platform in the middle of the mysts sim. The white dress from Caverna Obscura is one of those items. They are sold in relay for life donation vendors and you could pay as much as you like to get them. They start with one linden but of course you can donate more to help to find a cure. Alia Baroque, the owner of Fallen Gods Inc. wrote a blogentry on the Fallen Gods Blog to the end of the story which is definitly worth reading. The fantasy faire will end at midnight so take care to visit if you have not done that yet.

Seaborn

In the evening she dived into the air. Everyday she managed to spend a bit longer out of the water. It was exciting. When starting she only managed to stay a few seconds out of the water but now she could stand half an hour at the shore. Feeling the air moving her hair and enjoying the feeling of the sunbeams only filtered by clouds.

Caverna Obscura has always great items on the lucky boards. And i wished so much that i would manage to win this Coral gown. I was lucky but not because of waiting, the Caverna Obscura group is very nice and often somebody posts the letters of the lucky board in the groupchat so i got a teleport and won. Thank you so much girls.

The gown itself is wonderfully textured so that it looks like corals. On the skirt are shells and those are also on the upper parts of the sleeves. The skirt has two layers one with the coral texture and under it is a layer of lace. The lower part at the sleeves (around the hands) is also made in this way.

This spiderweb dress is also on the Caverna Obsucra lucky board at the moment. It is open at the sides and very sensual. The primparts of the skirt float nicely and are sheer. My knowledge about drow roleplay is not the best but i suppose that every admirer of Lloth might look good in this gown. The textures of the shiny stones of the systemlayer parts are also extremly well made, but thats not really surprising as the textures from Caverna Obscura are usually great.

I took the pictures at two sims i really like. The one with the spiderweb dress has been taken at Cape CoLA. It belongs to the Lost Angels sim chain. As the people who live there shoot before talking if they do not know the ones who are on that sim it might be better not to go there.
The pictures of the Coral Gown have been taken on a friends sim. It is a wonderful tropical sim. Normaly im not a big fan of those as there are so many of them but this one is just great. Very well made with beaches, a underwater house and i also saw a great waterfall. The sim is named L'atoll d'Arsene et Missy, Eternal Sun. You could visit it but keep in mind that it is a private sim and a home of somebody.

Go to Gato

Wandering around in a wonderful feathery dress i found by mistake. I wanted to see if there is still a lucky board at Leafy. There wasn't one but i decided to look into the other stores on that sim. So i found Gato. And i saw this great dress and wasn't able to resist it. Its short and blue with pink dots. The skirt looks rather feathery. Gato also has a cute freebie at the moment. The trousers on the left side. They have a unique pattern. The cuffs are made of prims the belt is painted on the trousers.

Filthy with some blood

Hoc seems to have a sale or something like that. At least you get there lots of cool stuff for free at the moment. For example a filthy apartment house with four apartments and a cellar. It might be cool on rp sims. They also give away japanese school furniture and even a choke vending automat.Also great for roleplay might be those barrels and the asian screen with the blood. Its just lovely in my opinion.
Even a drow got attracted by the blood. Or maybe she has caused it. Although her Lloth gown from Caverna Obscura seems to be clean. But maybe Drow have a very unique cutting technique. Or the spider on the top quickly drinks the blood before it gets into the cloth. All in all its a lovely gown.

Weather problems

Igraene always had problems with the weather. Not real problems. She liked every kind of weather. She loved the sound of snow under her boots, and enjoyed the feeling of raindrops on her skin. In summer she loved the warm wind and seeing the flowers in bloom. But she never managed to dress fitting to the weather. In winter it normaly happend that she looked out of the window seeing sunshine and starting to suppose that it is spring again. After having choosen a short dress she spend then all day with freezing and being angry on herself. When planing to go to explore some caves near a vulcano she decided to wear a long dress as supposing that it would be cold in the caves. But of course she had forgotten that she was going to visit caves near a vulcano so she spend some hours sweating.
OThe Anariel Gown is currently on the Caverna Obscura Lucky board. Its a wonderful fantasy dress which is great for roleplay. As all items from that store it comes with many possibilities to wear it. For example its also possible to wear the dress without the vest. You have to be a member of Caverna Obscura to be able to win at the lucky board. The membership fee is 500 Linden.
The pictures have been taken at Shadowfield. A very lovely castle which is great for seasonal pictures.

Universal princess heroine

Standing in the darkness. Waiting for the monsters to fight with the starstaff. Waving it up and down in kind of a dance. Avoiding to fall because of the socks and taking care that the hat does not fall off.

Its Santa Lucia today in Sweden so A:S:S give out a gift called Starboy. I personally heared the first time of that day when reading a book for children about a little cat named findus. I found a picture of him as Santa Lucia on the german amazon site.
So here the outfit from a:s:s for guys. Of course also women could wear it but they have to try to sing with a dark voice when singing santa lucia songs.
The socks and the leaves on the head are the current groupgift from caverna obscura.

Hungry butterfly

A pretty butterfly flying from flower to flower searching for food.It flys over the meadow and dips in every flower. Drinking the tasty nectar.
But somehow its not satisfied with its finds. Ahungered it looks around. It sees all the flowers but they aren't enough for it. The butterfly wants more.
Then it sees something and flys quickly to the little café. It starts to fly quickly around the lonely guest who is drinking some lemonade. But always when the butterfly tries to get under the parasol to drink some lemonade it somehow gets stuck.
The butterfly gown is one of the new items from the caverna obscura lucky board. It looks like being made of a giant butterfly and a sunflower. The textures are great. The blue wings do not belong to the gown. They are a part of the current groupgift. The gift contains fitting wings to all the butterfly gowns from caverna obscura. So if you have one of those dresses you should hurry to the store to get the wings.

Weired meetings in the mountains

When wandering through the mountains i met a piper. Well she was more playing kind of a flute. Curious i asked her what she is doing. She gasps "im late i wake all for the spring". Raising an eyebrow i wanted to mention that it is nearly autum. But she allready was on her way. Jumping through the hills in her thorn boots and playing the flute.

Standing proud on the deck because of all the precious things i managed to get at Caverna obscura. For example this pirate outfit. You could either wear it with long or short pants or with a jacket or without jacket and there is also a skirt included.

The pink dress is great for jumping through the hills and singing songs.

Also great it this armour. It comes with many parts. The prim parts even come in a normal and in a low prim version. This might be rather useful for roleplayers.

Water dancing

The famous when the famous explorer Archibald Aragnorie died his granddaughter Atoria spend a night searching his diary. Then she spend two weeks with decrypting the code he used for writing it. Finally she managed to read the book and was fascinated when reading about a waterbeing he once saw at a lake. She got so curious that she went to that lake (she had to deal with some dragons and hedgehogs on the way). Atoria waited very long hopeing to see the being. And then one day before she wanted to leave again she was lucky. Something came out of the lake. It was a white haired women with a very light skin. Her dress looked like being made of shells.
And then she started to dance on the water.
And played with the little waves.
But soon the being let herself sink into the water again. Atoria decided to stay for an other week but the water being didn`t appear again.
No Strings Attached is taking part at the rocking friday again with dancing animations. They are very pretty and well made. The Dagmar Elegante pack contains five ballet poses. One of those is even a on the floor one.
For the pictures i used the Reflections Gown from Caverna Obscura. I love how the dress is made. I didn t suppose that it would be possible to get the look of shells into second life but the designer managed to do that.
The skin is the sylph skin from sanu.

Dancing sunflower

A sunflower dancing around. It jumps from foot to foot.
And even manages to fly some metres.
Then it heared something in the bushes.
But after some moments the sounds have been forgotten again and it enjoyed the sun again.
The outfit is from the lucky board from caverna obscura. Its a very lovely one as it looks like a sunflower. It comes with two kinds of tops and skirts. The gloves are also great.
The poses are from No Strings Attatched they are named Evangeline after the owner and creator of Evie's closet who is a close friend of the creator of No Strings Attatched and available at the summer of love fair.

Colourful caverna obscura

Finally having managed to look innocent in a green fairy dress from the caverna obscura lucky board. Its a lovely green dress and its easy to make it fit. The textures on the stockings are just lovely.

But after a while being innocent became boring so i messed up my hair and changed my clothing to a harlequin outfit. This outfit has really crazy shoes. The skirt has some black white chess patterns which are repeated on the collar and the stockings.

The bored princess

Akila Aman knew that she only had one job.
Being pretty. As she was a princess nobody dared to talk with her. So she spend all the time alone. Laying around.
Sometimes she wondered if she was still pretty enough. She was pretty bored.
So one day she decided to go on adventure tour. She stood up and stretched herself. Before getting a bit more covering clothes.
Hoping that nobody would recognize her when her face is hidden she took a veil.
She was a bit insecure while speaking the magic words but it worked. Her carpet started to fly.
The Djinnie set from Caverna Obscura is great. As always it contains many pieces. And it comes with a shape which is modifiable. I first wanted to use that shape but then i thought i should have a try if i could make the prim parts of the outfit smaller. And it worked rather well. So this outfit also fits avatars which are a bit smaller. I like very much that the trousers are wearable as skirt, short trousers and long trousers. Also very nice is that the top still looks nice when only the system part is worn. Its possible to buy the parts also seperate.

This is the gift from Mystic hope. It contains a gown for women and a suit for men. They fit very well together so it might be a good idea to wear the outfits when going dancing together.

These set looks rather nice but when you have a closer look at the textures of the outfits your skin starts to itch. The cloth looks like it is rather itchy. But beside this the outfits have both very well made textures - they wouldn t be well made if they wouldn t cause the feeling of itching skin - and also those outfits are great as they fit so well together. The dress is build on an intresting way. The upper part is a prim.
