I can never resist buying stretched ears in SL, probably because I have them in RL, too, and want to check how 'real' they're looking, so I was more than pleasantly surprised and excited when I saw [Mandala]'s advertisement for their new release. Created from unrigged mesh, you can choose between 5 hole sizes, tunnel- or plug ears, 210 plug arts, 88 tunnel colours, 40 piercing- and 18 diamond colours - and all that in one pack! A HUD allows you to tint your skin, resize the ears and change between the different motives and shades, and there is also the possibility to pick if you're wanting to alter the left, right, or both ears at once. You can see some of the variants in the picture above. All taken together, it's a gorgeous piece of work and definitely worth its money!

After my ears got a new 'outfit', it felt like my neck was in need of a make over as well. And there's been so many opportunities to buy some truly unique and great jewelry lately! It's already been a while again since [dekade] returned to Second Life, but in my opinion it's never too late to show a sexy, new skin. That's right, fresh meat for you, boys! The Festival of Sin is approaching with huge steps (February 18th - March 3rd), so I thought blogging a teeny tiny preview of one of A:S:S deLuxe's exclusive items to make your mouths water would be a nice idea. Vain to the Bone is the name of this rather unusual facial attachment - various precious gems, which are scripted to change colour, frame the exposed half of a head where one can see the both tattooed and pierced skull underneath. Miamai has just recently released their latest Blacklabel-Collection named Chod, and I immediately fell in love with it. Black pearls, embedded in luscious, almost ethereally arranged folds of sheer cloth, fur and delicate lace are the main themes of those carefully crafted items - and a lot of dark glamour. I particularly love the overlong 'goth-sloth' sleeves which also look stunning worn without the rest of the jacket, and the loose-sitting and wide pants are not only comfortable, but also rich in detail and continue the jacket's theme, making them a perfect match.



The Begtse-pants are available in both black and white, whereas the Skanda-jacket comes in black only. And there was a certain silence at the end of the first day of them all that was the beginning of a myriad of sunrises and -downs, a silence not even the soft whispers of rolling waves and the birds' drowsy tweets managed to fill. Sounds speaking of passion and loss, like the voice of a shadow-veiled seducer rolling from a luring tongue, noises that would touch the longing heart and would make it want to sing along to the melody of creation wafting through warm air. Like caressing a long-missed lover, he let his fingertips brush over the curves of polished wood and strings made of steel, enjoying the subtle susurration and vibrations of a yet unknown song - and he knew that it was good.



A little ode to solitude and the beauty of music in this post about the colour "eggplant" for Luna Jubilee's blogger challenge. Unfortunately, I couldn't do the last two colours and am still trying to get back into the vibe, so I chose a rather calm motive and soft colours to go with this picture to lure the muse back into my mind again.
