Teddy Girl

Work is over now it is time to have fun. And to look good to be able to compete with the look of the Teddy boys

When reading about the Subcultures blogger challenge i wanted to take part in it. And i hoped not to get the teddy boy theme. But of course i got it and so i had to read a bit about that youth culture of the 1950s. I did not want to adopt the look of the teddy boys but luckily i found a great fashion blog, calivintage, which had an entry about teddy girls. From the pictures there i liked this one best. The facial expression of that woman is just amazing in my opinion and the composition of the picture with her in the front standing cool and all the guys in the background is great. Im kind of sure that she knew how to tell all those boys to get her cigarettes or not to pester her younger siblings.
So i decided to combine a coat with two lines of buttons with rolled up jeans, pointy flat shoes and a handbag. On those pictures most of the girls wear scarfs i choosed to take a necklace from icing. The cigarette holder comes also from icing.
Choosing the hair took a lot of time and i have to admit i had help from Paco from 22769. I spend some time showing him what kind of hair i got in my inventory. With this short hair which is or has been a freebie from clawtooth he finally was content and so i decided to pick it for the pictures.
I really like this look and this blogger challenge is an awesome idea in my opinion, as it is always great to discover something new (ahm i discovered something old and found out that i like it thats also great).

Danielle anniversary

From the 26th to the 30st Danielle is celebrating their first anniversary. Of course that means there will be some nice things available for the customers. For example at the 26 it will cost 20 Linden to join the group instead of 200 Linden. Being in the Danielle group is quite cool as you often get gifts and could win things on the midnight mania.

In Cobwebs

The princess of spiders standing proud in a foreign town. Her fiancée was kidnapped by a foreign tribe so she has to search him to get him back. She choosed him because he looked so delicious. But one night before the wedding should take place he disappeared. He only could be kidnapped. Which sane man would run away from his spiderwife before the mating? The orange spider gown comes from d-design.It also could be worn as suit. The textures are cute and well the dress and the suit allow others to see your navel. So take care not to have any dirt in it.
The set comes with gloves, a bit collar (with resizescript) and two skirts. One with lace and the other one without lace. The stockings are also included in two versions. At the moment the gown without the suit version is on sale. And you even could get fitting jewlery at d-design. The gown is also available with other cobweb colours.

Zebra time

Im not good in science but if i think correctly it just must be spring in africa. So wearing a dress with zebra pattern fits to the season. The dress is the october subscriber gift from D-Designs.It comes with two kinds of tops. One is kind of an corset with open front and the other one is a blouse. The skirt is resizeable and has a belt.

I had a really amazing weekend as we wrapped-up the Summer holidays and I log-in to find that we've reached our 1000 post, yay! So let's see if we can reach 2k ;) Here we have, the Summer Feelings gown by D-Design which comes in combinations of Blue/Yellow, Black/Silver, Green/Pink, and Purple/Lime but if you really want to put the icing on the cake there is also the Summer Feelings Jewelry Set which has a total of 16 different color combinations. I don't normally get this dressed-up so I decided to make up for lost time. Do I not look like I exude maximum opulence? Well, I certainly felt like I did after a night out wearing this outfit. My, my, my, lookie what I've got here. You don't even know how excited I was when I came accross this little number. The outfit is called "Housewife" from D-DESIGN regularly priced at 199L but currently a Group gift to celebrate Dani's return. And even though I am nowhere near the domestic goddess I aspire to be, this little ensemble blew my bobby sox over to the next sim and helped me conjure all the magical powers of successful multi-tasking.

Green and gold

Standing on a bridge and dreaming a bit. But i was so much in thoughts that suddenly a bird landed on my finger. It was very careful with its claws so it didn`t destroy my gloves.
After a while it jumped onto my shoulder and pulled at my earrings with its pecker.
The thousend kisses gown from D-Design is now available in more colours and they are as wonderful as the one in burgundy. I was very glad when seeing that they also have it in green now. I love how well the dress is made. The golden lace is very well placed so its always covering what it should cover and the folds in the dress are very well textured. The prim parts are all resizeable. And its also possible to wear the dress without the train if you like to prevent that somebody steps onto it.

Owl fight

Today i argued with the owl. It said i should only wear brown. I got very very angry and tried to kick at it. But it wasn`t impressed so i stoped and ate a mouse in front of its eyes so it was rather jealous. (It was of course a mouse made of marzipan so it looked only like one).
The dress and the scarf and the anklewarmers are the 60-Lindens weekend items from D-Design. The knit textures are very well done. I like the colourful belt but it is of course possible to take it off and to wear for example a leather belt so that the dress looks a bit more elegant. The prim parts are resizeable. If you prefer just to wear the legwarmers without the socks thats possible too.
