Fantasy Faire 2012- Studio Sidhe

Of all the things about life under the sea that Marianne enjoyed, from pulling faces at fish, to luring the odd fisherman over the side of his boat to sink into the depths, there was one thing that she always enjoyed most. Scouring the sea bed in regions where light still reached the sands, she would search for clams, for oysters, for all the shellfish who could perform their own little miracles, the production of pearls. The small ones she would carefully prise open, not wanting, or needing to harm the creature inside to get at the pearls. She found tiny seed pearls, the smallest you could see, to those large enough to pierce and string on a necklace. She left those, giving the creatures time to do their work, to create their own little masterpieces. She was after larger game, more dangerous quarry, wanting the ultimate prize.

She found it, hidden in the depths of a colony of oysters and clams.. each one getting larger as she swam through the water, toward the centre of the group, the oldest part of this living city. She kept above the seabed, not wanting the group to taste her presence in the water and clamp down too soon, no sense in making things harder than they would be. She dove, pushing her hands inside the shell of the giant clam, using all of the strength in her tail to help lever it open, reaching down inside for what she hoped would be it...

A powerful swipe of her tail and she was free, prize in hand, her spine arching in delight as she held the giant pearl high, making its flawless surface shine even in the low dappled light under the water.

Waiting

If a human would have had the chance to watch it, he would have maybe seen it move. But no human ever made it into its realm. Most likely it did not even know that humans existed. Some time ago it had heard about trees and even more time ago it had heard about stones. It liked the idea of both. And after it had thought long enough about it a tree and a stone had appeared. The stone was comfy. Not that it had a decent idea about the meaning of comfy it more liked to sit on the stone. From time to time the lights on its wings glowed a bit brighter then they faded again.

Then it knew that its time was a bit closer. Every dying light was a dying god. When the last one would have died it would have to create new ones. But at the moment it was enough to be the creator of a tree and a stone.

The poseprop with the tree and the stone is the festival of sin item from Studio Sidhe. Its inspired by Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. The prop contains two poses. With its pure design its great for very graphical picturs. Kinzart is one of the most important stores when it comes to furry avatars. So its amazing that they take part in the current round of the twisted hunt which started yesterday. Their huntgift are six dragon avatars. Each of them comes in a male and a female version. The colours are limited and only available in the hunt. Its one of the rare chances to get an avatar from that store for free. Of course the quality is amazing. The shading is well done and the design just beautiful. Some parts of the dragon are made of nonrigged mesh. This might be also a great opportunity for creators of clothing as its possible to check with such an avatar if your clothes also work on furry avatars.

Unicorn Plague

Daewyn was surprised when suddenly an unicorn appeared in front of him. He had seen something white walk through the gras but he thought it would be a very big sheep. But then it stood in front of him. The hooves making nearly now sounds. The animal seemed to glow. And it walked closer to Daewyn bowing its head in front of him. Daewyn did not know what else to do than starting to stroke the head of the unicorn. Caressing its fur playing with streaks of its mane. He was surprised how much he liked the feeling he had when stroking the unicorn.

Daewyn had heared about unicorns but he supposed that they would not exist anymore. He had learened that they would be as mystical creatures as Dodos. So being curious he started to read and then he started to blush. Although the skin of his kin was dark and covered with scales he knew that his cheeks were glowing like a fire in the middle of the night. It had felt good to stroke the unicorn but he knew that if anybody would see it with him that person would know the secret he was hiding for ages. Daewyn was virgin.

It was hard enough that some people laughed about his love for well made battle boots. He had more than one pair of boots, which made him to a collector of boots in their opinion, as a
decent warrior was supposed to have only one pair of boots. Nobody cared about the fact that he was the only guy in the army who had no athlete's foot. They prefered to laugh about the three pairs of boots he owned. And now they would know that he was a virgin. Daewyn hoped that the unicorn would not visit him again. But the unicorn did not share his hopes. It visited him again as virgins were rare and it liked being stroked. Of course he had not planed to be a virgin. Being very young when joining the army it was difficult to meet decent women while he was traveling from battle to battle. He could have gone to prostitutes as the other soldiers but in his opinion this was wrong.

Daewyn was desperate. Being proud he did not want to be mocked at by his companions but the unicorn started to come around everyday. When one of the other soldiers found footsteps of it, Daewyn decided to leave the army. His plans were to go back to his lair supposing that the unicorn would not follow him to the cold north. So he quit the army. He was not to sad about having to do that. He had been much longer in the army than he had planed anyways and only because he enjoyed the fighting so much. So he went on the journey to get home again. But of course the unicorn followed him. In the following time it caused a lot of trouble especially when Daewyn talked to women he liked.

The Niberath boots from Wasabi Pills come in a set which contains them in three colours. They are well sculpted and have of course an resize script. It is amazing how martial and beautiful they look at the same time. But this is a general attribute of all the armours from Wasabi Pills. When looking closer at the boots the little flourish decorations are seeable which have been carved into them. For the pictures I combined the boots with parts of the white death armour and the Thalion hair from the same store. The unicorn is available at Studio Sidhe. It comes with several inbuild poses but it is also possible to use it just as an element of a picture.

Stealing flowers

Standing in the forest and making plans. This time the plan is to get the biggest flower of the forest to win the best daughter at mothers day competition. But unfortunatly its a day too late so its important to get a really big present and this flower looks just like it would fit.

Studio Sidhe and Acid and Mala take both part at culture shock. Culture shock is donation event organized by CHIC Management. The stores which take part in it created special items for the event. The raised money will support the work of Médecins Sans Frontières. Culture shock will end at May 22th.

Acid & Mala sell some cute hippie like outfits at culture shock. This short top goes well with the jeans from Studio Sidhe which have also been created for culture shock. The trousers are available in many colours and fit men as well as women. I like it a lot that the designer also put glitch socks into the packet. The pants come on the pants and on the undies layer. They are mod so its possible to make them shorter if its needed to wear the ones on the pants layer in boots without the flares looking out of the boot.

Atlas

He had already crossed many mountains but he would need to walk much more miles. Sometimes he was annoyed about the strange tradition he followed. But on the other hand he had seen many intresting places because of it. It was said that his family were direct descendants of Atlas. The titan who was holding up the sky. So they developed the tradition to carry spheres through the mountains when becoming 23 years old. With the years the spheres changed and finally they started to uses ones which looked like globes.

Studio Sidhe makes awesome pose props. This sphere is one of them. It is textured like a globe and has three inbuilt poses. Its not worn and has to be rezzed. Because of this it could be very well used in a photostudio. The outfit on the picture comes from Trap. It contains long wide trousers which look partly wrapped. The set contains also badges for the chest for both genders and also badges for the arms and feet.

Insilico and Crystals

When Etain wandered over the water like he used to do it nearly every day he had no clue about what was going to happen on his small planet. He was just walking around playing with the water which seemed to react like a living creature on him. Etain was a crystal fae and the rocks around him were his creations.

EX-121 had no idea that being like Etain might exist. She was to busy with herself to think about faes at all. Since the emotional revolution EX11-03 had caused the life of EX-121 was not like she wanted it to be. EX-121 was an android as EX11-03 but she had the task to work in a bar. The barbot filled the glasses with the drinks the humans ordered and EX-121 brought those drinks and some snacks to the tables. It was not intresting but she did not mind that as long as she just was a robot and not infected with emotions.

EX-121 was not very glad about having emotions but it seemed as there was no way to get rid of them. Her work started to bore her and it became even worse as the barbot started to develop a strange behaviour. He had been programmed to make some naughty comments to entertain the mainly male guests. But now with emotions and the resulting free will he seemed to enjoy those comments. He made jokes about the look of EX-121 and even asked her to show him her circuit boards. When he started to tell her every day that a S would be missing in her name she had enough and decided to leave the town, the country and the planet.

EX-121 managed to convince a small spaceship to bring her to an empty planet and to pick her up after a year. They managed to find a nice planet on the starmaps. But during the flight EX-121 became suddenly very weak. She was running out of power and needed to charge her batteries. Being build to work on a surface she was not able to deal with the light in space. So they decided to stop at a small planet which seemed to be covered nearly completly with water.

The android sat down moving so that as much light as possible got in contact with her hair. The hair consisted only of solar cells. They were one of the most important inventions for the robot technologie. But they seemed to work only in an atmosphere which was similar to the one on good old gaia. To quicken the charging process EX-121 switch-off some programms if she would have been human she would have been asleep. That was how Etain found her.

He had never seen such a being like her before and she had also never met a crystal fae. Both very surprised. EX-121 gasped "hello" and touched the leg of the fae by mistake. That touch suprised both. Etain realized that the android was made mainly of silicium a material he liked very much. And EX-121 recognized that her circuitry somehow reacted on a strange way onto the fae.

He picked her up and hugged her tight. And the android was surprised but she liked it. Then he showed her the rock part of his planet. The robot was not sure if she would survive getting in contact with so much water. But without both of them recognized it EX-121 started to change. Crystals in her platines moved and her even her skin started to change.

The latex which covered most of her body disappeared and similar crystals as on Etain's skin appeared on hers. Even her eyes stopped looking like being created by humans and when the spaceship which had brought her onto the planet tried to contact her EX-121 was not able to recognize it. She had lost most of her artificial components while her mind stayed like it had been.

EX-121 was amazed when her boots disappeared. Now she had feet and was even able to feel the ground under her with them. Etain and she talked and talked. At the end they fell in love for each other.

When walking over the water in the mornings EX-121 sometimes thought about changing her name. But although the crystal fae had not been happy in her past as android, she kept her name as it was the only thing which was left from that time.

Fallen Gods Inc. sponsor the Enchanted Mysts sim of the fantasy faire and created also new skins for the faire. They are called crystal fae and available in three colours for both genders. Of course there are many versions of them in the colours itself. The female ones come in cleavage versions and "normal" versions. I love the wings the fae versions have on the legs and the body. The opal versions come with a glow which looks like some crystals shimmer and the opalfae skins mix both. Of course there is also a pure version of the skins available which comes without the wings the shimmer.
As seeable in the story the skins work for much more than only fae roleplay. They are currently sold at the Fallen Gods Inc. Store at the fantasy faire. I had the chance and honor to interview Alia Baroque the owner of Fallen Gods Inc. for the website of the Fantasy Faire.
The purple latex outfit is the donation item from Ezura at the fantasy faire. It is the purple version of the digi outfit I blogged some time ago. It comes with three different skirts and on all layers as the other versions. For those pictures I coloured the glow of the boots first took them off and coloured then the glow of the rest of the outfit. So I was able to have two kinds of glow.
Wasabi Pills is the creator of that wonderful long ponytail hair. It comes with a resize script and fits also smaller avatars. The hair is available in many colours. There is also a version with twigs in the hair available which I blogged yesterday.
For this post I used poses from the posefaire and the one with the close-up of the faces is from Studio Sidhe from the fantasy faire. The pose on the 5th picture is called "Don't Leave Me" and comes from PNP the one on the 6th picture is called "Catch Me" and comes from the same store. Fayette

Fayette was too curious even for a fairy. Wanting to see more of the world than just the forests and meadows she and the other fairies called home. First she enjoyed to see all the new places but after having spend some time in the big city she started to feel weak and sick. Illness was nothing she knew and her human friends told her that she only would have to rest. But it did not help at all. Fayette decided to fight against the illness and forced herself to go to work but this also was not the right way to deal with her problems. Deep in her mind she knew that she simply was at the wrong place, and that it was the city which made her sick but it was hard for her to admit that she needed the nature she had been used to. She prefered to become weaker every day to admiting that she had made a wrong desicion. One day when she was stumbling home she was so weak that she fell while walking. When standing up again she saw the unicorn.

The white animal forced her to realize what she tried to hide so long from herself. Fayette needed to leave the city as fast as possible. She was at the wrong place and it was the same with the unicorn. The fairy did not even wonder why the unicorn was in the town, she simply obeyed when the unicorn gestured her to crawl onto its back. Feeling the silky fur under her fingers, which were rough because of her work as waitress, made her immediately feel better. She wanted to jump down to stay a bit longer in the city but the unicorn started to run so fast that she would have hurt herself if she would have jumped off, so she stayed on its back.

The unicorn ran for a long time. After a while it started to walk in a fast but calm way. Fayette fell asleep. Her wings started to glow lightly again and her skin which had been nearly grey in the city looked more healthy. After an other day on the back of the unicorn they reached a huge forest. The unicorn brought the fairy into the heart of it and left her there. Fayette was able to feel the other fairies around her. In the evening they danced together.

The unicorn and the fairy dress are two amazing items. They are both available at the two faires which start this weekend.
The fairy dress has the name Whish and comes from Babelfish Designs. The set included the wings and the shoes. Some very well made textures have been used to create it. At the top it has some flowertextures and the skirt has white leaves on its upper part. Of course the dress is not plain white, because of the used shades of grey it looks like a dress in reality look. Babel Fish Designs take part at the fantasy faire. They have their store on the Enchanted Mysts Sim. Muriella Munro the designer of the dress also founded a group which informs about new fantasy items: United Fantasy Merchants.
I fell desperatly for the unicorn from Studio Sidhe when seeing it on the Pose Faire. It is so wellmade and so different. The unicorn comes with 5 inbuilt poses and not only the avatar who is sitting on it changes its position with the poses the unicorn changes as well. It could sit on the ground with an avatar nuzzling at it or stand in four different ways. It is only sold at the posefaire and the fantasy faire at the moment.
