Favorites from the hunts

I wanted to share some of my very favorite items from all those splendid hunts going on at the moment.  Hunts are such great fun and what I love most about taking part is the discovery along the way. Sometimes I visit sims that I never knew existed & get to find great stores from little known designers as well as re-discovering the greats that I had forgotten about. I've also picked up a few friends along the way too, so a great thanks to all the effort from designers and the people that organize the hunts you're all contributing to  bringing a nice little community together!

With a spring in my step

 It's a glorious day and I feel full of the joys of spring and oh ho ho what could be more joyous than picking up a super bargain or two!  well if you don't want to miss out on this cute outfit from 22679 which is on offer at 10L yes 10L how crazy is that?! then you'd better hop down there a.s.a.p as it is only available at this promotional price until the 18th April (there is also a mens promotional item for the same price too) ...Love these jeans!! they also come with prim cuffs for a different look.

OMG these shoes! I adore them so much! It's  a struggle to find summer style footwear thats looks as good as this, so it's no wonder I have a spring in my step.

Shopping wars

I love this little desk from the Alberto kawaii hunt and this picture is saying to me, get off the laptop and go shop! I've got my bag ready, however as much as  love to shop in SL , I detest it in RL...ok so here comes the rant. In real life you have to contend with the following : getting parking rage before you even start! yes the parking spot that you've patiently been waiting for, gets taken as someone else drives straight in whilst the previous occupier is still reversing out!
 next > indecisive shoppers that are stood dithering over the item that you simply want to take  & pay for! next > escalators! urghh!! you wanna get on but the person in front of you is spending so much time negotiating when exactly is the right time to get on!! what's that about? anyway when they do get on you have the same problem when they reach the top" uh uh when do I get off ?" ..."urghh now because you're causing a mass pile up of bodies behind you!"
next > So you finally find the item you want , yet you can't pay for it because the shop assistant is too busy telling her mate what she got up to the night before, even though she is aware that you are stood there.
Hmm cyber shopping it is then!

A fine romance? [7]

She had been horrified at the thought of wearing stolen goods, and immediately reported the matter to the police. It was to be an extensive investigation, which meant that she was forbidden to leave Paris until the thief was caught, as she too was a suspect in the crime.

Gascon knew that she had no part in the theft, as the family heirlooms had gone missing a year before she arrived. With dwindling funds and no work on the horizon, Gascon kindly offered her work at the Restaurant, and a small room to rent, until the investigation was over.

She was grateful for this generosity , and worked hard and long hours. Her hard work had been noted, and earned her the respect of her co-workers, the customers seemed to take to her too, they adored to hear the stories of her travels She relished her new position, for the first time in her life, she felt part of something. She'd always been more than happy to be a free spirit, but had somehow always felt an observer of other people's lives, someone on the outside looking in., but here she felt like she was on the inside and she liked that feeling.

She felt mixed emotions, as the investigation reached  it's conclusion. Relief that she was no longer a suspect, and that the jewels were able to be returned to their rightful owner, sadness at knowing that the arrangement that she had at the restaurant must now come to an end, and shock at who was involved in the crime.

It turned out that the thief was a woman by the name of Petunia Pooley. She was a dancer at Le Moulin Rouge next door who had taken quite a shine to Gascon, they had become friends , but she had mistaken his attention. One evening she had slipped into Gascons bedroom, and prepared to seduce him. He was quite shocked by her brazen approach , and ordered her out of his room. It was this humiliation that made her seek her revenge, but that was only the start of it......

Gascon left the Restaurant  and headed for where he might find her and sure enough he saw her painting outside Cafe Guerbois . She had not seen him , but on this occasion he had not wanted her to see him. He felt disgruntled that she was now customer to  Cafe Guerbois and not his restaurant, but also relieved just to catch a glimpse of her. Now he was no longer just curious about her, he wanted her back in his restaurant and away from Auguste!

Auguste did not cut a fine figure of a man, in fact he was rather plain looking, the kind of person you could meet 10 times and never remember, not by his looks in any case, but he had an aura about him and was extremely charming. There was something about Auguste that one simply could not resist, it was almost as if  he aroma about him, and once that aroma had filled your nostrils you were completely and utterly  intoxicated by it.., and a great many women had not resisted him.

Whilst she was blissfully unaware of these male attentions, it would be no secret soon of who her admirers were as quite out of the blue she received a gift. Excitedly she opened it to reveal the most beautiful  hand crafted amber  bracelet . There  was no note, no message in fact it was a complete mystery as to where the gift had come from.
