Wearing more brown

Yep more brown, most of my recent blog posts appear to be featuring mostly shades of brown recently not that it is intentional. Anyway what's not to love about all this brownness, I mean will you look at these shiny shiny boots! pure liquid chocolate, that's what they remind me of. Teen style

So of all people my son sets me a blogger challenge, he says "mum why don't you ever do a look for girls?" I don't ever intend to do child avatar I just don't sit comfortably with that, however it did get me thinking of looks for teens and this is my creation.

Granted sons response was not favourable but hey what does he know he's a boy! and I would totally dress this way if I were a teen, actually I probably did, come to think of it now I actually did own an outfit exactly like this *blushes* But anyway I enjoyed putting this look together and I think it would be rather fun to see more teen style out there on the blogs.

Just one thing of note, I am wearing a delightful skin from wow skins which is at the current weekly event 50L frenzy shop a thon - week starting 27th March. There are 2 colour make ups if you don't like to be as bold with blue eyeshadow.

Stars that appear as beads

It's a bugger when you're a blogger and your computer just doesn't want to play! I'm in the process of raising funds for a new one though and so hope to be blogging at full capacity some time soon, but for now I have to work around an unstable viewer and horrible glitches. My main concern is not being able to see mesh, which is fine for most part but annoying at times such as today when I put on my lovely new Stardust hair by Pomme d'Amour only to realise that the little 'beads in my hair which I didn't notice on the vendor pic are in fact cute little mesh stars & it really does look a lot lovelier with stars so don't take my word for it go take a peek.

Fashioncentric & Spessart

I recently joined the Fashioncentric group which is new to me and I want to share it with you too! Don't stop till you get enough

Can you believe the generosity at Al Vulo? wow group & hunt gifts galore at that place and I'm always thrilled the creations! I particularly like the colour of this lipstick as it reminds me of one my aunt always used to wear, a lovely deep orangey red which reminded me of clementines ...yum!

Now if animal print is your thing then pop down to Pink lip gloss as there's quite a theme going on! With regard to the leggings and vest, if you like the style but not the print then do please go take a look as there's lots of other styles to choose from. So sorry if you like the neck bow, I didn't realise that Royal Blue had closed down, what a shame!

Tweed

Loving the tweed this season thank you very much! and so the new release outfit from Vero Modero was a huge hit with me! detail on the fabric is superb too although not clearly shown in my pic as i've added a bit of opaque and sepia to give it a little vintage feel.

I happened to stumble across this cute little hair & skin store which is new to me and going to be a firm favourite too I reckon! there aren't many hair styles to choose from at the moment, but what there is I love and for only 100L for the hair I certainly can't complain. Oh p.s Fashionably dead has a half price hair sale too if you're a hair junkie like me.... woot!

Oh yes Woot! being a huge fan of all things WOot I adore these tibetan looking wood bracelets, there is a set for the left & right although I'm only wearing one set in this picture.

Cassandre

I'm straying here from my usual look. Not necessarily too much style wise just with the shape. My regular shape is Lana from CS Shapes but when I was given Cassandre to try, I found that it gave me the opportunity to experiment with a different look. Cassandre is less realistically/idealistically proportioned and as such gives a more 'animated' look in my opinion which works perfectly with Fashionably dead skins which I've always admired. So decided to take advantage of the great range of skins currently available at Collabor88 to experiment with the look and was thrilled with the outcome.

The hair is a gift at the 'With love again ' hunt  from Sugarsmack whose designs never fails to please me. More details of the hunt can be found HERE it runs until the 6th January. Next I wanted to mention is a little store where I picked up the tights from and is only currently available on the marketplace. Autumn colours

Loving the autumn fashions that are making their way into all the stores the moment and in particular this  lovely vibrant red hair which is a Red seal hunt gift from Raspberry Aristocrat, the hunt gift also includes an outfit by the way. The scarf  from Zeerys THE best scarf store in the whole of SL is also a gift from the same hunt. Barefooting

Just on my regular quest for great quality fabulous bargains I came across a little store called amato,  a little freebie/dollarbie store where I picked up these amazing shorts and eyes (take a closer peek at the peepers below). There are other items for men & women, but I especially like the eye selection.

I dropped in on one of my regulars, The Fashion Garret where i've discovered some of my favourites designers. I never seem to be able to leave that place without buying something! and of course I grabbed this great group gift but also this divine hair by Angel hair, and if you haven't already grabbed the latest fantastic group gift at Coco then go grab this barefeet now they're a definite must have!

For a shoeless day on the beach

 I had a lovely pair of shoes to blog about but would they rez?! grrr no! so I decided to kick them off and go shoeless on the beach.

Can't beat candy stripes

Well I've been out of blogging action for the best part of a week, mostly due to RL goings on, but I took this picture over a week ago, so I know that the Taste of SL hunt will be well underway by now. The lounge set shown here is only a selection of the whole set which is Dreamscapes art galleries offering to the hunt. Oh but this outfit I adore and I've had more compliments about the jacket from Villena. There is quite a range of colours to choose from too and an absolute steal at 180L. Girl next door

This look is inspired by a friend who was saying that she wanted a new look, a kind of girl next door look, and I guess we have our own spin on what that look should be. City chic

Loving the City Chic look for project Themeory and so these boots & bag from LPD I couldn't love more! I really love these over sized bags, none of those silly little clutch bags for me no! I want to take almost everything I own out in my handbag and have room for more purchases ,...not that any of that is important in SL LOL, but what I do like about this bag too  is the the options to wear, as I've found that the animations if some (if at all)  don't make it appear like you are holding them properly well not with this one! Oh and I adore this little neckerchief with it's option change script, which is currently a hunt item but in store there is a luckyboard with a nice spotty one on too.

A short story

Shorts shorts shorts! I've blogged a few pairs of shorts recently, and I'm a shorts kind of girl. I love how they can be causal or smart, and the varying degree of lengths, from capri style pants to hotpants, bit today i'm wearing a classic pair of denim shorts which are new from Vero Modero, they come with the belt so you can dress them up or dress them down, and you know how I love items that can be worn in  a variety of styles.

Oh Oh and I wanted to say how I 'm glad I rediscovered Sole Sisters and dollarbie options. If you don't already know Sole Sisters have all the white shoes/boots at L$1, which I think is a quirky and clever marketing ploy, so of course I was thrilled to pick up this cute little shoes ..oh and a few other pairs too.

Take a walk in my boots

I just can't get enough of these boots from Deco, and imagine how excited I was when these white ones appeared on my screen as a fifty linden friday item?! yes I really did squeal! and immediately shot down there to pick my pair up!. Whilst I was there I picked up a TVDH item, which reminded me of other hunt items I had not got around to wearing, so here are a couple of my favourites.

A fine romance [5]

Her work for Auguste was complete, he seemed entirely thrilled with it and took to displaying immediately. He had paid her enough to keep her in Paris for a few more months, but Paris was very expensive and she knew that this money would keep her much longer elsewhere, so now she had the dilemma of whether to stay or move on.

Although she had an overwhelming feeling that she had unfinished business with Paris, still she had to be practical, for it was her art from which she made a living, and there was never any guarantee when the next opportunity would come along. Someone who knew this only too well was Pascal, a struggling artist who worked as a waiter for Auguste. Pascal had an arrangement with Auguste whereby he lived in a room above Cafe Guerbois rent free, and in return Pascal would make artworks for Auguste's collection.

In her time painting at Cafe Guerbois, she and Pascal had got along enormously, for they shared so many common interests. She adored Pascals' sense of humour, adventure and creativity and also how ruggedly handsome he looked in his slackerwear. Although they were both artists their talents could not be more different, whilst she  loved to work with oils, pastels & watercolours, his real passion was silversmithing, a talent which was more a secret than anything, as he never seemed to have time for, what with working at the Cafe and earning his keep in paintings for Auguste.

Pascal had been her first thought when she had received the mysterious bracelet, although that idea evaporated immediately, when she received another gift whilst sat at the cafe chatting with Pascal one afternoon. He looked as surprised as she did , when she opened it to reveal a necklace and earrings that matched the bracelet perfectly, again no note or message.

My little project

I'm about to embark on a small project to keep myself entertained. This is to blog mens clothes, or indeed women's clothes of a masculine design, unisex clothes if you will! of course all to be freebies or dollarbies just to make the challenge ....well more challenging! so I start off with this top which is a mans sweater, that I stretched the prims a little to become more of a dress. The shirt , waistcoat and tie would I feel look fantastic on a male teamed with some hareem style pants or jeans ( don't worry guys there won't be any 'bumps' where there shouldn't be for you ).

It's not often you can say that when you pick up your purse that it has more in it than the last time you looked! but that happened to me today and I think it was the work of pixies, I love pixies! ;P If you want a purse like mine (contents excluded) go grab this group gift at autre.
