Make your bones

There were many ways to do it, but it always had to be done. Until you made your bones in the world, you were nothing. There would be risk at all times, but this rite of passage meant something to anyone recognising the sign of it.

At first glance, a casual observer would not know of her status, of what she had done. That was the point of course. At this stage of her career, she needed to be able to blend in with the crowd, hiding her hard won markings under clothing to pass along the streets in the smarter areas of town. These forays into smart suburbia funded many a decadent habit, and with the access to businesses, and abodes that the relevant costumes gave, along came ample chance to case future crimescenes. This innocuous facade was easily discarded back on her own turf, when she would return to clothes chosen according to her taste and style.

Of course, back in the district her bones had brought her, low cut clothes that showed off her signature ink were fantastic, but not something she always felt she had to wear. Her bones, hard earned, were hers to display. They demanded respect from others, anyone looking twice knew what she was capable of, what she could achieve. This brought trouble from challengers, and admiration from acolytes. As meaningful and beautiful as these macabre designs were, she didn't mind at all.

Here is the first in a series showcasing some of the designs currently available at +REDRUM+. There's a lot of MESH items, which are available in the range of standard sizes, so if you are willing to shape yourself to fit these, there are some fantastic designs. Here, the Wolf is one of a range of dark themed and grungy tops, paired with jeans, textured with x-rays of the bones they conceal. Of course, I love the Ribs tattoo, clear and concise detail, shown here on a full tattoo layer, two other versions included.

Ballet and smoking

It was always cold in the ballet studio. Sarah normaly used this as excuse to smoke before, during and after the training. She was a good dancer and made so much sport that she still had a great stamina now matter if she smoked or not. But her plan wasn't to be once a dancer on an important balletstage.

She wanted to dance in musicals. But this would mean that she would have to sing which made her quite nervous. Luckily the smoking also helped with this. Sarah was of course smart enough to stop it as soon as her voice had exactly the tone she wanted to have.

As always there are some cute items in the gallery gift shop. This bodysuit from Penned is one of them. It can be worn with or without a skirt. The bodysuit comes on all layers in a sheer and a nonsheer version. The hair comes from Wasabi Pills and is made of mesh. As that store makes hair in so many great colours it was no problem to find one which goes great with the lilac argyle socks from 22769. Those are currently sold at the black market. The skin and the cigarettes come both from the ZombiePopcorn brand event. The skin is available in four tones. The cigarettes could be worn in a full or in a smoked version. The pose on the first picture comes from Purple Poses while the second one comes from ANA_Mations but is not sold anymore.

Autumn Fairy

There had been no rain for some days but now the sky looked like it would burst every minute. It was so dark that Helen had to light her latern to avoid flying against a tree. She had been roaming through the meadows to search plants for a medicine and to allow her squirells to explore some trees. But then the weather turned really bad. Now she was on her way home. She only hoped that the wind wouldn t blow off her wings. It was allready autumn and as tree fairy she would loose her wings in winter. It always tickled when they grew back in spring.

It is most embarrassing that I had not heared about Severed Garden before visiting the Zombiepopcorn Dark Magic Winter event. Their exclusive item is an autumn themed outfit for fairies. Its amazing how many little details the designer added to the whole outfit. It comes with wings made of leaves and also the belt has some leaves in it. Beside this the belt has some pockets at the front which contain everything a fairy might need. The latern with the squirrels and the shoes make the whole look even more playful. The prim parts of the clothing come with a resizescript and the clothing comes on the jacket, pants,undies, glove and sock layer. The skin is an other event item. It comes from Damned and is available in four make ups. The one on the picture is called Silthus. The set comes with eyes and fitting ears which is very comfy. There are patterns painted on the face. Those make the skin a great roleplay item as they can of course give the one who has them magical powers or be a mark.
The pose belongs the Angel of the Apocalypse set from Purple Poses. Its a set which was designed for demons but fairies also could fly fast.
