Mad Easter

It was that time of year. The chills of winter around the globe were fading. All over the world, the grip of ice, so tight for so long, was loosening. Shoots forced their way ever upward, no care or regard for concrete or stone. Life found a way. Just like clockwork. And just like clockwork, something else was ticking. The nerve by his eye.

Tick.

Tick.

Twitch.

Twitch.

The fade had released him.

All around the town, soft heavy footfalls. The easy creak of wicker. Long, low, rattling breaths. This winter had been longer than planned. He had fallen asleep in the summer, and had slept through springs not warm enough to reach him. Now he was awake, and the eggs he placed around the city would make up for the springs he missed. Shiny and colourful, drenched in blood they could charm those lucky, or unlucky enough to find them.

Hush!

Madpeas Mad Easter Egg Hunt is on! 

Hunt Starts Here

For the low low price of L$100 you can get yourself the Hunt HUD, attach the egg basket if you feel it, and follow the little blue dots to find the eggs. Be ready for many eggcellent puns! Each egg you find is worth a number of points, tracked by your HUD, which can be eggschanged (see what I did there) for a variety of prizes back at the hunt start point. There are different levels of prize, 1000 points etc - all the way up to the main prize, at 5000 points - which will unlock when the grand total of points achieved reaches the magic number. Once you have found all the eggs in the area, click the ? on your HUD to be taken to the next SIM with eggs. Note the arrows on the compass wheel which tell you if the egg is above or below you! Its a lot of fun, with new eggs being added all the time. Hunt until April 5th.

At the hunt startpoint there are also some very fun MESH avatars to buy... like Mr Bun, who comes complete with his snazzy waistcoat, and three fur colour options from Abranimations, Grey - shown here, Black, and Pink for L$ 450.

Drip Drip Drip – MadPea „Love Potion 9.9” Hunt

She was a nameless water fairy... better to say, she was Waterdrop No. 451900564778, assigned to service in the tiny well of a small village. Her work was boring. People came to the well, they filled their buckets and jugs, the women were chatting for a minute or two, then everyone went to do whatever they were supposed to do. Waterdrop No. 451900564778 remained there, in the bottom of the well, all alone. Until, one day, she got an idea.

The next morning the inhabitants of the village gathered around the well that dried out overnight. The women were crying, and the men were loudly discussing ideas about what to do. “We should dig another well!” – someone said. Then someone else suggested they should clean the well they already had, and a third someone came up with the idea that they should appoint a permanent guardian to it... at which they suddenly heard a tiny “glug”. The water was back. Waterdrop No. 451900564778 let the villagers know, in no unequivocal terms, that she preferred company.

I think that the current MadPea hunt, “Love Potion 9.9”, is the best one ever organised until now. The storyline is entertaining, the clues are excellent (a big thank you and many, many compliments go to Elizabeth Tinsley, the mastermind behind the hunt!), the objects you have to collect are different in each shop, the endgame is anything but boring, and the gifts are... wow. So there’s only one thing that remains, you running to the starting point and buying the HUD for 50 L$, then just enjoy the trip! You have time until March 14^th.

As to the gifts... where to start? This time I’m showing you the „Water Fae” outfit by Fantavatar & Moonstruck, which is amazing. The hairpiece and the shoulder pad textures are animated so water actually circulates around your limbs and you do look like a walking rivulet! The pretty necklace by *Amaranthus* also holds a surprise, just click on the locket and you’ll see. :)
