Mad Easter

It was that time of year. The chills of winter around the globe were fading. All over the world, the grip of ice, so tight for so long, was loosening. Shoots forced their way ever upward, no care or regard for concrete or stone. Life found a way. Just like clockwork. And just like clockwork, something else was ticking. The nerve by his eye.

Tick.

Tick.

Twitch.

Twitch.

The fade had released him.

All around the town, soft heavy footfalls. The easy creak of wicker. Long, low, rattling breaths. This winter had been longer than planned. He had fallen asleep in the summer, and had slept through springs not warm enough to reach him. Now he was awake, and the eggs he placed around the city would make up for the springs he missed. Shiny and colourful, drenched in blood they could charm those lucky, or unlucky enough to find them.

Hush!

Madpeas Mad Easter Egg Hunt is on! 

Hunt Starts Here

For the low low price of L$100 you can get yourself the Hunt HUD, attach the egg basket if you feel it, and follow the little blue dots to find the eggs. Be ready for many eggcellent puns! Each egg you find is worth a number of points, tracked by your HUD, which can be eggschanged (see what I did there) for a variety of prizes back at the hunt start point. There are different levels of prize, 1000 points etc - all the way up to the main prize, at 5000 points - which will unlock when the grand total of points achieved reaches the magic number. Once you have found all the eggs in the area, click the ? on your HUD to be taken to the next SIM with eggs. Note the arrows on the compass wheel which tell you if the egg is above or below you! Its a lot of fun, with new eggs being added all the time. Hunt until April 5th.

At the hunt startpoint there are also some very fun MESH avatars to buy... like Mr Bun, who comes complete with his snazzy waistcoat, and three fur colour options from Abranimations, Grey - shown here, Black, and Pink for L$ 450.

A Hunter's Life

Mysticina planned her look very carefully. She knew she must appear smashing, dazzling… but, first and foremost, intimidating. „Make those mortal worms tremble in awe and give you free way… yes, that’s it!” – she cackled softly, while she dabbed the dried dragon blood powder on her eyelids. Then she started working on her black mane until it looked as if she had just returned from a ruthless battle with orcs and trolls. „Excellent…” – Mysticina patted her wild locks with a satisfied half-smile. „… excellent.”

Then, the outfit. Hard, cold silver and black silk. A belt that seemed to be fabricated from werewolf fangs… she particularly loved it. Ah, the terrified yet lustful glance of that boy, he might have been a servant or a pageboy, who almost run into a wall when he caught sight of her clad like this, majestically parading along the Main Street. 

Mysticina chuckled, and picked up the demon’s claw staff… yes, this had to be the final touch, the monster’s withered fingers still clutched around the lava globe he hadn’t been willing to give up to her. „Mmmmm… perfect, just perfect!” – Mysticina was very satisfied. „But now let’s go, the Spring sale starts in a quarter of an hour, the shops will be crammed with crazy people fighting over bargains, and I just have to get those lovely boots at half price!”

Christmas Penguin

Caspar Rolypoly was grumpy. He allready had been the Penguin Santa last year. And this year he had to do it again. He did not enjoy at all to swim from ice floe to ice floe and to bring gifts. But then he got to the first ice float and was surprised. All were waiting for him and thanked him for being the Penguin Santa in the last year. They even had fish.

Each year there are so amazing gifts in the abranimations advent calendar. The penguin avatar is the gift today. It is completly made of mesh. And the textures are impressive. It could be worn with or without the santa hat. Included is also a fish which can be used to slap people. The avatar works with normal aos but includes also a special penguin like walk.
Its also possible to use normal static poses with it. The one on the picture actually comes from Purple Poses.

Black is this week's dominant *coughs* colour in the '52 Weeks Of Color' challenge, and the massive amounts of this shade in my inventory made it kinda hard to decide. Then I saw Luna's beautiful pic with the harness I'd planned on wearing and needed to change my plans a little not to look like a copycat, but I have to confess that I like this outfit even more than the one I originally had in mind. Many thanks go out to Disembodied Hand, owner of :Defectiva:, who created the most stunning pair of breeches I've been hunting for ever since I joined SL years ago, and to Kyoot for their truely awesome customer service. Guys like you rock my world!

Frosty news

Frost landing with a lot of dust in the What's the news headquarter. What's the news will be a hunt organized by the guys from 22769. Its about news (well it would be surprising if it would be about fish with that name) and will start at the 1 Jan 2011. The frost outfit will be a hunt gift in the Legends of Winter Forst hunt. This hunt will run from 16. Dec to 16. Jan. The outfit is a steampunk version of the outfit Emma Frost of the x-men uses to wear. Its lovely. And you could make some great heroine like movements in it. Of course there will be also a gift for men. They will get also a frost outfit but with an other kind of top.
For the upper picture i used the Abranimations jump enhancer. Its the gift in the abranimations adventcalendar today.

Skateboard for free

As last year Abranimation has an adventcalendar. And the prizes seem to be as great and fun as last year. Today the gift is a trick skateboard. It comes with a hud so that you could just click and perform a trick while skating. The skateboard gets attached at the foot so its a bit tricky to find fitting shoes to wear with it. But Duh has those great sneaker boots. They are attached at the lower leg if i remember correctly so with an alphalayer to hide your feet its possible to use the skateboard and wear decent shoes for that at the same time. The dress comes from the violent seduction lucky board. Shoes: ::Duh!:: (W) Sneaker Boots (25 Linden for one colour but there are also fatpacks available)
