[hairy spring affair]

Spring is a bit indecisive here - after a couple of weeks that were hot enough to be summer weather already, it's grey and drizzling now, so I'm rather thankful for SL's more predictable seasons. And with spring being around, I usually get the urge to give my inventory and looks a make over... this time, it were these two hairstyles I simply had to add to my collection. The one on the left is one of booN's latest releases, an incredibly realistic looking pair of long dreadlocks - in mesh! Needless to say that I immediately fell in love and bought one of the darker colour packs that includes three shades: chocolate, which I'm wearing in the picture, black and purple. Please make sure you're trying the demo that's available in store for free.

The Creators Pavillion is having a spring sale right now (ending April 15th), and that's where I grabbed the hair on the right, a feathery and slightly messy style from the - to me - unknown store called [INK]. Even though it's not scripted, the manual resizing works quite easily, and there is a bunch of 6 shades to pick from for a mere 69 L$ each. Demos are available as well. Since *ARAI* is represented at the sale as well and offers some pieces of their collection at half price, the fresh looking and vibrantly coloured nylon parka in teal made it into my shopping cart, too. Due to both female and male attachments being included in the folder, it's even unisex! Swing by at the Creators Pavillion sale and give yourself (and your home, for there is also several deco- and furniture items available) a vernal make over!

Adrenaline was seeping from his body just like the first hint of anticipating sweat, bemusing his surroundings with the thick, musky perfume of his tension while his heartbeat increased to a level not even their drummer in one of his brilliant solos could reach. He could feel them, those subtle, yet electrifying vibrations of desire from the crowd, radiating through steel and concrete, letting his baby hair raise stand on end. They wanted him. They needed him. And they were loving him, too - eager to get a shot of the drug that was his mesmerizing voice. He paused in his track and looked up towards the ceiling, his words speaking of admiration and wonder. "Can you hear them shouting?" Catching the guitarist's grin from the corner of his eyes, he shivered as the hoarse voice reached his ears. "They're shoutin' for you, man - just for you..."



Lately, I never manage to resist whatever gorgeous hairstyle lamb! puts out at Collabor88, and so I found myself leaving with two of the color-packs once again. As you can see, the style called 'Phenomena' is definitely unisex - it comes with matching hairbases, but I'm using another since I didn't want to go for the totally shaven look in these pictures. The pants have been a lucky find for me, too: I really love wearing knee-high (combat) boots, but the usual pants either make your legs look like a stork, or they're hiding most of the shoe with their cuffs. These cargo pants from RONSEM, however, have two different styles of cuffs, one to show your shiny boots off and other, regular one, for those days when you haven't polished them nicely. Said footwear are the rather classic looking combat boots from Abyss which I'm still loving hard because of their stunning textures.

As someone who actually has a 'latex'-folder with many subcategories in their inventory, I couldn't help but to snatch up this purdy huntgift of squeaky red goodness that is +DV8+'s contribution to the Dark Future hunt. You receive both outfits shown in the picture in one single hunt item, so there is no extra search to find a hot club-outfit for your boy- or girl-alt in addition.



The male item, Reznik (in firebrick) consists of shirt and pants, whereas the female prize, Merciless (in blood), features a futuristic looking bodice with shoulderpads, stockings and gloves. I'm always amazed how well +DV8+ manages to pull the latex look off, so this outfit will surely become one of my favourites in my Saturday-night-party wardrobe.

And there was a certain silence at the end of the first day of them all that was the beginning of a myriad of sunrises and -downs, a silence not even the soft whispers of rolling waves and the birds' drowsy tweets managed to fill. Sounds speaking of passion and loss, like the voice of a shadow-veiled seducer rolling from a luring tongue, noises that would touch the longing heart and would make it want to sing along to the melody of creation wafting through warm air. Like caressing a long-missed lover, he let his fingertips brush over the curves of polished wood and strings made of steel, enjoying the subtle susurration and vibrations of a yet unknown song - and he knew that it was good.



A little ode to solitude and the beauty of music in this post about the colour "eggplant" for Luna Jubilee's blogger challenge. Unfortunately, I couldn't do the last two colours and am still trying to get back into the vibe, so I chose a rather calm motive and soft colours to go with this picture to lure the muse back into my mind again. Unfortunately, RL-duties and several SL-projects have kept me busy enough not to be able to blog as I wanted to, but I still managed to put a LotN together for you! This time it's all about body-art and -modification, may it be tattoos or piercings.

The piece that inspired this look has been the beautifully crafted tattoogun-necklace from Kari. I own several items from that store, but hadn't checked back for a while, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover this little piece of sculpted art for a mere price of 150 Lindens. It comes in both male and female size, and even though it's missing a resizer, it's really easy to mod. Both the sculpts and textures are flawless, so if you're into 'not-your-everyday'-necklaces, this is truly a must have!

The ears I'm wearing are from !WhAtEvR! and a contribution for the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser. I especially liked the extremely stretched earlobes and the fact that it's highly customizable when it comes to the piercing's colours, and the HUD allows you to match your skintone perfectly. The tattoo has been a case of luck when I checked +radicalism+ for new ink and an 'S' came up on their Lucky Board - yay me!

Last but not least, there is the pink septum piercing of goodness you can hunt down at -.HoD.- as a prize for the 'Cover My Furry Butt!'-hunt. Actually, it's not a nose piercing by default; you'll get an entire folder of exclusively made and/or textured piercings you can attach to whatever (furry and moddable) body part you like. Since natural tones always remind me of the countryside, I took the bus to Mikrokosmos to find a matching background for my picture for Luna's blogger challenge - whose colour is ecru this week. Mikrokosmos is a beautiful, little spot out in the green, reminding me pretty much in the Mediterranean area with its garden and fields and the beautiful architecture, a place of golden sunlight, silence and solitude. A place that invites you to dangle your legs on one of the wooden fences and stare down the dusty road, waiting for your lost love to return...

No one remembers when it all started, when the sun's light slowly began to fade and made room for a neverending night whose twinkling stars shimmered like fat, white maggots on a black shroud the city had been woven into. Some people wondered and asked question... and they started to disappear; first the curious ones, then the grown-ups, one after another, whilst their houses began to rot and their civilisation was in decline, while creatures with tentacles and foaming mouths rose from the swamp and otherworldly chants could be heard from the partially burned church. The only things that never changed were the sparkling stars above, the intense smell of salt water wavering through the forsaken streets and the city's kids piercing stares from within the shadows, lurking and patient, magic sigils on their skin and a ghostly light flaring in their empty eyes...


It's the 16th week of Luna's blogger challenge - that makes four whole months! - and the shade this week is teal. While searching for a fitting inworld photo site, I once again ended up in one of my favourite sims, Innsmouth. This place keeps fascinating me with its Lovecraft-inspired, spooky atmosphere and provides a great background for roleplay or gloomy pictures - play around with windlight and water settings some - and don't forget to switch on sounds!

Black is this week's dominant *coughs* colour in the '52 Weeks Of Color' challenge, and the massive amounts of this shade in my inventory made it kinda hard to decide. Then I saw Luna's beautiful pic with the harness I'd planned on wearing and needed to change my plans a little not to look like a copycat, but I have to confess that I like this outfit even more than the one I originally had in mind.
