Schadenfreude is one of the many participants of the Starlust Monster Beach Party on Twomoons Island, a Halloween-themed event that runs until October, the 31st. The store offers a quirky-creepy collection of items, like the shown Fangkini, bikinis with bats and eyeballs, lingerie with eyeballs... did I mention eyeballs yet? You can also find them on jewellery, a bowtie, a hat and a lovely ruffled skirt for the gals there! But seriously now, it's a really cool event you shouldn't miss out on. Owls have always been amongst my favourite animals, but ever since I joined Second Life, this love has most certainly intensified - and since I'm apparently not alone with my liking and people keep creating the cutest items around our feathery friends, I thought it's about time to make a little owl-post.

I know that Collabor88 is still packed most of the day, but if you get the chance to get in, do yourself a favour and buy this stunning necklace from Maxi Gossamer! As you can see, it's definitely unisex and comes in the 3 lengths: long, middle and short - but you can also choose between the metal options silver and gold. And like that wasn't a bunch of great features already, there's also the possibility to change the colour of the gems, either to uni-shades or preset colour combinations. Weeee! Vestigium is having a Summer Sale right now, with all items in store being marked down to 50 L$. There is a lot of (mostly) unisex tattoos to be admired and bought and also a few clothing items for your summery wardrobe, but my eyes got instantly drawn to the lovely ink that's offered in store. The one I'm wearing, called Japanese Gods, is one of the three tattoos I bought, and I certainly didn't regret it; each tat comes on all clothing layers and the tattoo-layer, in three different states of fading. The sale's still up at the time of posting, but since no end date has been announced, you better hurry over right away!

The lovely straw hat I'm wearing is a collaboration between RONSEM and Black Maria, which is pretty well-known for their mostly punky hairstyles. The hair is attached to the hat and mod, which makes adjustment rather easy, and each pack comes with three different shades of the colour you've chosen - for 100 L$ only, a true deal! Even though it's already August, the new Vitamen freebie for July hasn't been out for long yet, so you should still have plenty of time to grab it. This skintight affair in shades of green, gold and copper has a summery hibiscus flower print and could as well serve as swimming trunks - at least that's what I misused them for. The CHIC² Birthday Event is still running, and this time I'm introducing a piece of really breathtaking jewellery to you - the Lost Eden Sun Pendant from Maxi Gossamer Accessories. I'd often seen her stunning work at the Marketplace, but never dared to purchase it since I wasn't sure if it would fit a male neck as well, but this exquisite piece convinced me to have a try, and I wasn't disappointed. To catch a snowflake

Should the approach of winter be bleak? no! it should be full of wonderful vibrant winter colours! and I love nothing more than fabulous shades of purple and pink! and that's one reason that I was drawn to these amazing boots from Kristica created as a special limited offer for XYROOM (events run for 3 weeks before rotation)

This divine unisex hair is a current group gift at Dura and the scarf is also a group gift at SMS which comes in 2 colours with and without the brooch option. Gotta love this jumper which is a luckyboard item at Bonne Chance, there's also a mens version in green on the boards.

He paused in his track and looked up towards the ceiling, his words speaking of admiration and wonder. "Can you hear them shouting?" Lately, I never manage to resist whatever gorgeous hairstyle lamb! puts out at Collabor88, and so I found myself leaving with two of the color-packs once again. As you can see, the style called 'Phenomena' is definitely unisex - it comes with matching hairbases, but I'm using another since I didn't want to go for the totally shaven look in these pictures. The pants have been a lucky find for me, too: I really love wearing knee-high (combat) boots, but the usual pants either make your legs look like a stork, or they're hiding most of the shoe with their cuffs. These cargo pants from RONSEM, however, have two different styles of cuffs, one to show your shiny boots off and other, regular one, for those days when you haven't polished them nicely. Said footwear are the rather classic looking combat boots from Abyss which I'm still loving hard because of their stunning textures.

Searching for Esra

Sira and Nestor were used to the fact that Esra disappeared now and then. They all were siblings and had all the same training but Esra was a bit older than her sister and her brother. And, which was way more important than an age difference of 100 years, she loved risks way more than Sira and Nestor did. Now she had disappeared again and Sira was supposing the worst when she found a note about Esra's destination. She had been called to make an ancient machine on a distant island work again. After a long journey Sira and Nestor managed to find the island and they also found Esra but the fingers of one of her hand were missing.

From 24th Oct. to 1st Nov. the Sanguine Noir Adventure hunt will take place at 22769. To gain the huntgifts the hunters will need to help Esra to get her fingers back which are spread all over the sim. But this help is rewarded very well with two complete outfits one for women and one for men. For men its a suit which fitting hat and boots. The sleeves of the jacket are opened, so the soft sleeves of the shirt under it are visible. The trousers and the jacket are covered with flower patterns. The dress for women fits perfectly to the one for the men so the sanguine noir hunt is a good way to get fitting outfits for a costume party. Women also get a hat and highheeled boots. The primparts on the female and the male outfit are mod. The 22769 sim is allready decorated for halloween so a hunt for fingers will be just creepy. Chucky Hollak and Freddy Krimmer of FRUK recently released their first skin, Lennon. I'm sure you've seen various images of him through all the feeds already - but that's okay, since he definitely deserves it! Lennon is an athletic guy, without being overly muscular at the same time; his body is well-defined, with a soft shading and highlights just in the right places, and I really adore the definition of the hip bones, which are one of my most favourite. bodyparts. ever. The skin comes in 4 tones and a total of 10 facial hairs, but you can also purchase add-ons on the tattoo layer, such as freckles, guyliner, lipgloss or a 'night on booze', such as various combinations of the aforementioned. The Gallery Gift Shop - an eclectic mixture between art gallery and store - has gone into it's 3rd cycle of releases, and 22769 is once again participating with a mesh-outfit that is perfect for fall. The beige pants are about 7/8 long and have a detailed, wide cuff to show off with your pair of favorite rainproof boots. In the past week I had some more spare time and decided to roam the grid for Lucky Chairs, Midnight Manias and some special events that are running right now, and I got lucky enough to find some nice outfits for free - or a very low price. If you're into medieval roleplay, Gor or working on a Halloween costume already, you might like the following items!



This lovely dress is a Lucky Chair-prize from [knickknack], a store that specializes on authentic medieval clothing and accessories. I really like the lush textures and the variety it can be worn, from a simple, rather revealing tunic to a modest dress reaching down to your ankles. The water yoke is another item you can win at the store's LC and comes in an animated (walk included) and non-animated version. When you're there, take a good look around, since there is 4 chairs in total to be found!



These stunning Celtic tunics are from De la SOUL and unisex, with a special love for detail when it comes to the beautiful embroidery adorning the sleeves and the lower seam. As you can see, it looks also nice worn without the prim attachments, so you can vary the look, and the rust-shaded pants are also included. The golden version is available for 10 L$ at the Marketplace, whereas the aqua-shaded one is only 25 L$ at the Fall Fete-event, which only runs til October 4th - so hurry if you wanna call it your own!

Four

Here I am representing four variations of four items being, the skin, eyes, tops & headband. The skin which has to be a firm favorite of mine at the moment is Vero Modero's Burch skin, I love the detail as with all Vero Modero items but particularly it has a lovely sheen without looking too oily. I love the luscious pink glossy lips which remains the same in all the 9 variations of skin as does the skin tone, only the eyeshadows vary and all of them are tastefully vibrant colours. What I also adore about this skin is that it has a whole lot of lashes!

Birdy is fast becoming one of my favorite stores of the moment too & currently instore is a whole wall of  these tops. I am wearing just one of the styles of the sculpt tops but showing all four of the different textures, there are other slightly different styles so for example there is a style a bit more ruffle around the top yet doesn't lose the essence of the style - great to have so much choice. Vacations

Kernin enjoyed the time at the beach. Normaly he managed to go once or twice a year on holidays. It was great in his opinion. He spend his time with relaxing on the dock. Sometimes he fished or used the boat to mow over to the riff where he collected shells.

His holidays were the only time in the year in which he was able to wear jeans and shirts. It was the only time in which he was able to wear modern clothing at all. He loved it. It was so different and definitly worth traveling for a long time.

But as one of the seven elven kings he needed to be sure that nobody would see him while he wore clothing which had been created by humans for humans. Kernin sometimes wished that he would be able to stay away from it. Once his brother had caught him in jeans. Luckily Keron wasn't intrested in being king himself else he would have abused the knowledge about his brothers love to human clothes. Instead he helped Kernin to travel through the planes to the only place where he could wear what he loved.

At the 25th July was the birthday of the owner of the Plastik and she made an awesome gift to her group. A bag filled with skins, outfits and more. This blue skin is one of those. The bag contains items for both genders and is still available in the old groupnotices of the Plastik Group. You only need to open them and to save the attachment. The tattoo is an other gift from this group. The green eyes are currently a freebie at poetic colours. And the hair is also a freebie. It comes from Exile and is normaly for women but looks also great on guys. The clothing comes mainly from 22769. They have nice items for mens which are easy to combine. The prim parts are mod and come when they have been created by using more than one prim wit a resizescript. I like the black silk shirt very much which is causual and elegant at the same time. The baggy shorts could be combined easily with any t-shirt. The espandrillos are brand new and available in many colours.

Twinkle night bargains

I've barely been in SL this week after a manic home life - still got the builders in causing havoc, I think I have noticed a few items of underwear missing too! and I won't have much left at this rate & i've been looking after 2 teeny tiny apple head babies which has perked me up no end.

Ashton, the new group-freebie from -Belleza-, is a face that could be seen quite often on the feeds during the past days - nonetheless, I couldn't help but to wonder who he reminded me of once I slipped into the skin. After a good while, and after deciding on a proper haircut, I had an epiphany: Ashton had a touch of younger Sean Penn!

Bewildebeest

In this post I want to gush about this new store Bewildebeest, it's only been open 1 month so a great many people will not have visited yet and I really must urge you to do so. How cute and wonderfully detailed is this little set I am wearing and it comes in a range or unusual & delightful colours too.

 I personally love this store, it has a magical element to it where I feel like a child in a sweet shop, I want to touch & devour it's entire contents! There are a great range of unusual, creative and totally wearable pieces. I say wearable because there are some delightfully artistic jewelry designers  out there, but I find it hard to wear the items in everyday use.  It's hard to be different, creative  amusing & appeal to many but I think Coyote Momiji has really nailed it so I urge you to visit her store I'm sure you won't fail to be impressed!

"Nqada" is the name of this breathtaking set *Finesmith Designs* has put out at the Accessory Fair 2011 - for free! You receive the armbands, headdress and corset, made from rich, patterned gold and adorned with deep-red gems reminding of corals. Each piece is resize-scripted, so you can also fit it nicely on a (slender) male shape. The fair, whose topic is "Ancient Egypt: Discover the Treasures", runs until Sunday, June 26th and is well worth a visit - not only because of the variety of stores and the possibility to buy exclusive items at the RFL-vendors, but also because of the nicely designed sim. [rockin' the coffin]

Leather, studs, bones and feathers - your blogging cold one is indeed in a rocking mood today... even though he's crawled out of his coffin only 30 minutes ago. But then again, I couldn't figure a better start into the day than rock and vertebrae, so here's the look!



Leather first! Those smexy, tightly fitted pants are from Miamai, and I particularly adore the flared legs and the well-made side lacing - just the right things to make it a beloved piece of your wardrobe and give it a sturdy feel and look. Perfect footwear matches were the 'New Rock'-boots from Little Britain Designs, sculpted goodness in the shape of the RL-brand I own as well, with shiny textures and a look that screamed "BUY ME!" when I spotted them in store. And of course I did!

The 'Vampire Coat' from Amerie has been around for a little longer, but it's still one of my favourite pieces. The combination of elegant pinstripe fabric and chains is simply gorgeous, and I love the decadent looking sleeves and collar made from black and peacock feathers. The coat's prim-parts are resize scripted, and you can also choose to wear the collar without the small chains and cross dangling from it - just in case you don't get along well with crosses.

I guess the body is actually my fav in this post: not only because of the stunning eyes from Poetic Colors, which are brand new and still on a 50% off sale through Sunday, June 12th, but also because of the rather extraordinary hair from Miamai that immediately tickled my fancy. It looks a bit like a high, teased ponytail, with vertebrae of silver crowning it, and the hairpiece blends in perfectly with the hairbase - to be honest, I haven't seen such a fluent transition between sculpts and textures before.

After wearing [Buried]-skins for a long while when wanting to go for a more juvenile look (and never being quite satisfied with the nose texture on my shape), I think I now gained a new obsession after my friend Monica showed me the lickable skins from [.:Mascarade:.]. I love the androgynous, youthful appearance and soft definition of the body, and the unusual look of the eyebrows is also a really big plus. Besides, you can snatch up each for 300L$ for the less recent and 500L$ for the newer skins, a real deal!
