Schadenfreude is one of the many participants of the Starlust Monster Beach Party on Twomoons Island, a Halloween-themed event that runs until October, the 31st. The store offers a quirky-creepy collection of items, like the shown Fangkini, bikinis with bats and eyeballs, lingerie with eyeballs... did I mention eyeballs yet? You can also find them on jewellery, a bowtie, a hat and a lovely ruffled skirt for the gals there! But seriously now, it's a really cool event you shouldn't miss out on. Some of the other shops that offer their gloomilicious wares are Clawtooth, Pig, U&R Dogs, Miasnow, Silent Sparrow, Nomine, +Blue Blood+ and many many more! Hop over to fill your treat bucket and play a little with the tentacles!

Harvest

It had been a good season. Thanata was quite satisfied with her work. And even more happy that she finally could go home. Now she would rest for ages maybe play some computer games and even found a band. Founding a band was something she always had wanted to do. Not that she played an instrument but she was sure that she would be able to learn it quickly if needed. Since she could remember she had been a harvester. It was the job she had been born for. Like others were born to be planters. And she was good. The souls she took hardly ever got damaged when she collected them. That kept them so nicely tasty. But now the only thing she wanted was getting home again. She just had managed to double her planned target, only by visiting one of those places where the weak souls came together. A nurse would be arested for killing all her patients but that was something Thanata was not able to think about. She only wanted to catch the next boat which would cross the styx. September is the time of great storms and colours. Fitting to this mood there will be a hunt running through the first weeks of this months. Organized by the EGO CO. more than 50 stores will take part in the Summer Harvest Hunt. 22769 is one of them. Their gift will be a wonderful dress made of mesh. The cut is very open so that it looks like only two bands of fabric connected to a collar covering the top while the skirt reminds on a big scarf being wrapped around the hips.
It is a great dress and hopefully the designers will make more versions of it.
The hair comes from Wasabi Pills. It is very cute and somehow a bit messy. The diagonal cut of the pony reminds a bit on the way how children cut their hair when playing hairdresser. It is made of unrigged mesh so it is possible to resize it with the help of the inbuilt script.

Starborn

The meeting would be soon. Ira (her real name was way longer and a human would have gotten massive headache even when trying to think it) was not sure if she was looking forward to it or not. Of course their race was rare and he was her soulmate the one who made her complete. But often she wished to feel complete alone. 
They met at the usual location. Later some scientists would maybe wonder about a temporary black hole at that location this was one of the reasons why they only could meet for a short time. Of course their meetings were way longer than the lifespan of the halfsheer dreaming clouds on Treta Xanos or the purple froglike creaturs on Sasaraxinquonte. But for them they were short. Even the mightyest Gods can not escape time.
So they stood together for a while. Stars exploding near them and planets becomming covered with ice as the stars which had kept the climate on them comfortable for livings beings suddenly moved away. Not able to resist the pull of two hearts of the universe meeting. Wasted time in Ira's opinion. But he always wanted to have the chance to see every little change of her appearance. In his opinion they both changed with the universes they wandered through and he thought he would manage to see what was going on just by the changing patterns on her skin. While she could only think of the moment in which they would have to part again.

The Fortune Teller found his way back to Fallen Gods Inc. when finding your 100% match you receive a pack of skins which contains the depth skin in a male and a female version. The skins are great and although the name reminds on oceans the skin itself also remind on the universe. The black outfit comes from the same store. It is unisex but there are different sizes for males and females included. The yellow/orange coat with the beautiful patterns and the fitting pants come from 22769. The set is currently sold at the Gallery Gift Shop one of the cutest sale events on the grid. Both parts are made of mesh and come in the standard sizes. A version for females is available at the same event.
Both hairs come from Wasabi Pills. The short one is currently sold at the Zombie Popcorn brand. It is made of unrigged mesh. This means it is mesh but it is possible to make it smaller or bigger like prim hair. The long hair is of course rigged mesh.
The background comes from Garden of Dreams. It is the Space Dream Scene. Besides of being awesome for pictures it gives the possibility to meditate or to do other things with friends.

Seawitch

Bubbles were floating through the big room. Later it would be crowded with people. Sarfenia was satisfied with the decorations. There wasn't too much of it and still everything looked nice.
She was already dressed for the party. As normaly she was mainly wearing green. A green dress, green shoes and she had even used moss to make her antlers green. Normaly those were white and reminded on bones but that wouldn t have fitted to the dress. And it would maybe have scared possible guests away. Seawitches were not to popular. A reason for this might have been their massive thirst for blood an other their love for war and a third their yearning to be rich. The last one was the most important one in Sarfenia's life. It helped her to have all the interesting ideas. The bar had been her last one. In combination with a little bit of magic it allowed seapeople to look for some hours like humans and to do all the things they thought humans would do. 22769 created some wonderful classic dresses for the vintage fair. The Jacky ones go well for business as for taking tea with a friend. They are made of mesh and the pack contains all five standard sizes. Besides green the dress is also available in blue, red and black.
Despite having a fantasy origin Wasabi Pills made some hair which makes every woman to somebody a future mother in law likes. The Veronica hair has that certain mix of being open and still classy. The Daisy high heels are one of the latest releases from Miamai. The shoes are available in many colours and made of mesh. Skins from Mirror's Enigma normaly come with fitting great shapes and is the same with their Socordia skin. The sets contain three shapes which are very well made. The skin itself is cute and versatile.
Poses are always important for pictures. The one used for those belongs to the Stella set by Purple Poses. It is currently sold at the Fashion Voodoo.
The background is the Water Disco by Garden of Dreams. It  looks like a underwater club. Being made of 274 prims it comes with dance poles, dancing animations and places to sit. It is a great place for pictures and to hang out with friends.

Awake

The way the ground felt under her paws was still new for her and  the fact that she didn't hear her own movements also was. But it was what Elonie had wanted. Sometimes the scars still bleeded so she had wrapped cloth around her legs. The Pain she didn't mind at all. It kept her awake. The scars on her arms had the same function. When she was on watcher duty it was what gave her the right amount of adrenalin so that she was ready to fight. 
But this night seemed to be calm. Her urpy would warn her anyways if something would happen near her but this wasn't a reason for her to lack of caution, Elonie loved the little pet but she didn't want to depend on it.

Wasabi Pills takes part in the current round of fameshed. Their item is a cute haircut with a ponytail. The hair is very versatile and goes with modern outfits as well as with classic ones. The Cover My Furry Butt Hunt will end in two days. Enough time to get the wonderful Urpy for the neck from Booshies. It is a very cute pet and will most likely be very helpful in winter.
Pesca has meshtops with a floral pattern in the current round of the Zombie Popcorn brand. They are available in 4 colours and of course the pack contains them in the standard sizes.
It is rare to find very short cute skirts. This one from evolve is one of those. It is available in many colours. It is great for a punkish or cute look or for both.
Hysteria is a great store when it comes to unique and normal scars. Their current groupgift is called Suffer well and looks like leather bands being pulled through the skin on the upper arms. But they also got normal scars and bruises like the ones on the legs and the marks in the face are one of my favourite items from them.
Mirror's Enigma moved and they also released a new skin named Ira. It is available in three skintones and all of them with different makeups. The one on the picture is the version in Light and neutral. The very cute shape is made especially for this skin.
The weapons created by Messser & Co. are not only great when it comes to fighting they also look good. Like the throwing knives on the picture. They can be used in areas with CCS or Lindendamage.
The legwarmers from epic are also available in a version without paws and great for any urban being with digilegs.
Virtual/Insanity has so many cute accessories that it is hard to choose what to wear from them. One of their latest releases are the naboo claws. Those very long fingernails come also with a ring. They are great for roleplay characters and should fit to any gothic style.

For everybody it was just a café not for her. For her it was the perfect location to watch the others. The others weren't other humans like her they were the ones who followed them. She had not really managed to find out yet where they came from but they were like shadows. But they didn't copy humans it was more like shadows roaming around free. Sometimes she saw a the shadow of a human. The humans they belonged to always seemed to be exhausted. She never was, she had killed her shadow long ago.
The Seraphim Hunt will end at the end of this month. The gift from 22769 is a pretty boho shirt in red and yellow. It comes in the five standart sizes. The blouse goes very well with the wide Mahvi pants from Miamai. Those are also made of mesh and have a great cut.
Mesh can not only be used to create clothes it also looks great in furniture for example the Cafe set from what next. The set is currently sold at the Zombie popcorn brand event and is available in three colours.  The background comes from one of the wonderful Dreamscenes from Garden of Dreams.

Time to rock

The light was perfect. Just pink and yellow like he loved it. Those were the colours he always prefered even on the arrow which had been painted on his cheek by a girl he maybe would lay after the show. Well if he would manage to remember her name. It was now three years ago that they had released their first album and the time since then had been like a dream. Sometimes he was afraid that he would wake up soon but it never happened. The shows were fun although he was normaly so drunken that he hardly ever remembered them.  Sometimes it is fun to style in a special way for example as glam rocker. The ziggy makeup from 22769 is great for this. It is available in many colours and looks great in any of them. To complete the look there are currently some neat items available in the make him over hunt. You need to be member of the huntgroup to be able to get those. The Bone Leather Jacket from BC322 for example. It is made of mesh and comes in several sizes. There is of course an alphalayer included. The boots from Muism are an other great gift in this hunt. They are extremly well made and remind a bit on tanker boots. The guitar and the microphone plus the speakers are all gifts from a store called Witch Babe. They sell many guitars and in the video below you can see the awesome dance which is included in the ao which comes with it. Tableau Vivant takes part in the Femboy Hunt. The gift is a skin which cost 2 Lindens. Purple poses made a set of guitar poses and the static one used for the pictures is one of them. It is possible to buy it with guitar but the poses themself also work with other guitars. Wasabi Pills made a lot of mesh hair. The Hawk one is great for fantasy styles but also great for rockers.

For Flowers

The path had been but finally she had gotten what she yearned for. She was one of the bright ones. And normaly she should have been dedicated to serving the sun, singing to the moon and counting stars. A calm life with some fights now and then about who might be the best. But a life which was too boring for her . She wanted more than spending all her time on reaching something which allready had been planed.

First she had been pondering about trying to become one of the fire priests. Flames were something she could handle but having to learn 261 names for fire was something she didn't interest at all so she left those. Then she tried the water cult. They taught her how to dive for hours so that her skin started to absorb the air she needed from the water. It was not bad but having been so attached to the sun for a long time it was something she missed to much in the deepths of the oceans. Finally she decided to test the group which cared for plants. And it was like it was what she had been training to do all the time. She knew how to deal with the celestials so that she knew how to get the right light for the plants. The teachings of the fire priests allowed to make sure that the right amount of warmth was provided. And the knowledge about water helped her to provide the right water. Finally she had something which was interesting and versatile. It was the first time that she really liked what she did and had the feeling that it was something which was needed. So she kept doing it and soon she received the gautlets which were the sign that she was an official member of the plant cult. Currently two events are running which are cute and lovely. In Booshtopia and some other sims something called "Flori & the Nectubloom Rising". It is a quest in which you have to help Flori the Flora deity of Booshtopia to fertilize the Nectublooms so that they start blooming and some booshies can drink their nectar. After receiving some informations and a hud from Flori you start to search for those flowers and with the help of the hud you give them the fertilizer. It is a cute idea and the gift you get at the end is just lovely.It is a pair of gauntlets with leaves on the top and a gem. After the booshies are released the people who did the quest will also have a special flora item for their booshies. The gauntlets are no copy but transfer. It is possible to mod them. The dress and the poses come from the other event Chic's 2nd birthday. The poses have been created by Mavi Beck. She is not only one of second life's best models but also a storemanager for Miamai and also the one behind Miamai poses. This set is called the time is now.
Tomoto also takes part in this event. They made a very cute dress which is available in four colours. This one is the the white version. It is possible to edit the prim parts so that they fit. The dress itself creates a dreamy look.
The horns from ni.Ju first were sold at the fantasy faire. Now they  are also available in their store. At the fantasy faire ni.Ju had their stall in Nu Orne. The buildings which have been used to create this sim are now available at Cerridwen's Cauldron. Elicio Ember's store who also built Nu Orne. It is possible to see them on a plattform which can reached with the help of teleport pads.

I've already introduced the CHIC² Birthday Event (June 3rd - 24th) to you in my last post, but there is so many nice things to be seen and found there that I thought it's well worth a second (and maybe even third?) post. Today you can catch a glimpse at Miamai's contribution, the sexy minidress called Nene that is available in no less than 7 colours to pick your favourite from. With its both cute and elegant ruffled skirt and the sculpted corset and bosom-line, this little dress is more than suitable for various occasions, may it be shopping, a visit at the beach or a steamy summer party.

In a painting

Turning around she had to recognize that she was missing most of her shadow. The world was surreal like it was only held together by a few strokes of a brush. Niamath knew what it meant. She had not secured her mind when going to sleep. For some moments she was shocked. Everybody could make mistakes but not her. The pace of her heart started to become faster at least she thats what she thought she was feeling but being caught in a painting meant that she had no controll over her body. Niamath was not able not to appreciate the style of the artist who caught her. The elegance of the style was impressive. But this was the wrong time to admire art. The war of painters was going on now for months. Many had been killed about questions of light, details and even not managing to agree about how to hold a brush could cause a slaughtering. The most effective was was to catch the oponent in a picture and then to simply let their body starve while the mind was not able to escape. Some had become insane in pictures and had been released or had managed to find a way out. But they were not a big help in developing strategies about how to escape out of a picture. As pretty the picture was she knew that it would make her insane having to see it for longer than a day and if that wouldn t happen her body would die within the next four days. It was hard to fight the urge to cry but now knowing how connected her body was still to her mind she didn't want to loose any liquid.  When her hand moved up to her head in the urgent need to stroke over her forehead to keep herself calm she felt the feathers of the collar of her shirt. One moment she recognized that she was standing in a lake of ink. The feeling of hope started to grow in her chest but she knew that she would need something to paint on.

The marks never disappeared from her skin. But they were what most people wanted to see when they met Niamath for the first time. Especially the door on her arm fascinated people. It was what they called the opening to peace. She was the first one who had managed to paint herself out of a picture. Knowing this people started to carry a pencil some colours and - if they did not want to be marked  -  some paper into their dreams and they were always able to escape.
The third zombie popcorn brand wave started and Wasabi Pills made a most lovely mesh hair for it. Its a pony tail with some nice braids on the front of the head. The hair fits to many different looks from playful to elegant. The blue top and the pants come from miamai. The pants have been released at Culture Shock which ends today but are also avialable in the Miamai store now. Being made of mesh there are the five standart sizes included in the set as well as an alphalayer. The pants have the typical sophisticated and elegant maimai style. They are available in various colours and prints. The ones in black like on the picture are great to combine them with more colourful clothes as they fit to nearly everything. The top and collar originally belong to the Loue dress in springblue. But they go very well also just as top. On the picture they are worn together with the pants of the dress. The collar is mod. This dress is only available on the marketplace.
The leather belt has been used to give the whole outfit an edge. It comes from bitch, which is a clothing store for mesh items for women by the rustica owner Maxwell Graf. As it is not rigged it is possible to resize the belt.
The poses come from Purple Poses. They belong to the Alexia set which is also only available at the Zombie Popcorn Brand event at the moment.
The pictures have been taken at a sim named China. It looks like being in a traditional japanese/chinese painting. Its a stunning sim and worth a visit.

Surprise in the morning

The sound of the waves was calming but none the less the feeling of dew on her skin wasn't something Martha enjoyed. For some moments she curled together trying to hide her bare feet deeper in the wide pants she was wearing. After some more minutes of uncalm sleep she realized that she was at the wrong place. This was definitly not her or Phil's home. Slowly she pushed herself up. The pain in her head made her regret this. But while pressing her eyes together she forced herself to get on her feet. It wasn't a big surprise that the rest of her body did ache as well. The veil was something which surprised her. There was dirt on it so Martha supposed that she had used it as cushion or blanket. Not that this was important. She was wearing a veil, didn't remember what had happened during the night it was clear that it finding out what happened in the night would be way less fun than those things she forgot.
Miamai's latest relase is a wonderful brideswear collection. Of course it is outstanding,especially the Marlene Outfits. This consits of elegant meshtrousers (in standard sizes) with a frilled top and a big veil and also fitting upper sleeves. The upper part of the veil and the sleeves are made of unrigged mesh so its possible to resize them. The lower part of the veil is made of flexi prim which allows it to move.
The red hair comes from Wasabi Pills. It's the Dragon Hair which is very versatile.
Purple Pose released a set of pinup poses. The pose on the first picture belongs to those.
Adornotropia, the sim where the picture have been taken is not officially open yet. But it is allready possible to visit it. If you have a chance to do so take a ride in the rollercoster.

The night was like all nights before. Calm, nearly no wind. With her highly sensitive sensors X-II-218 was able to hear the singing of some strange cults which prayed to machine gods. If she hadn't been forced to wear the collar X-II-218 easily could have been one of those gods. But she was controlled by humans. Her state wouldn't change for the next 20 years at least then she would be free to explore what ever she wanted. It was a deal every artificial intellegence had to make with those who created them. All of them were property at least for 50 years. The first ones had been owned all the time but as soon some humans realized that those beings were machines but with consciousness they wanted to liberate them. So now all artificial intellegences were asked a moment after they had been turned on if they would like to be shut off again or if they aggreed to work until the coasts for their creation would be repayed. X-II-218 worked as undercover cop. At the moment she looked like one of the beings who normaly lived on a planet with the name Terra-Sol-00BFFF. There had been rumors that those would sell drugs to humans. It wasn't interesting for her but maybe those strange machine sects might be useful soon. Some time ago Adam and Eve released a wonderful line of fantasy skins called Amaris. They are available in several colours. The blue one used for the pictures is great to use it as base for a water or as in this case for a robot like avatar. As all Adam and Eve skins the set includes makeups, nailpolish and more.The darkblue lipstick for example belongs to the set itself. Amaris is one of those skins which work with many shapes so I took the pictures using my own shape and really like the result.
The hair is the Teeloh  hair by Wasabi Pills in aquatic. The texture of the hairbase which comes with it is great. It makes one imagine how it might feel under the fingers.
The clothes come from a store called Apricot Paws. Its one of those small stores with great clothes. Those silks are very versatile so its possible to wear them in several ways. They even go well in combination with the cyberishs boots and accessory made by Ezura Xue (eX). Apricot Paws also sells mesh sweater which are definitly worth a look. The silks themself come on several layers and can be worn without the loincloth. For the pictures I copied the loincloth prim and attached it also on the backside.

Mushrooms

The only left of mankind was a rumor. But now and then archaeologists found runs which only could have been left by humans. It was normaly always a sensation when this happened. Although the buildings were way too big they were useful to grow dreammushrooms in them.  In their own houses the mushrooms never grew as big as they did in the ruins. There were different explantations for this. But the most common was that humans absorbed all the ideas around them so that the places were free of influence.  Most of the winged ones lived in high towers at the sea. And so did A'dhora de Falkenflügel. She was brave and pride like all the winged ones and beside this she was one of their future Queens. When flying home after hunting it happened to her that she got into a storm which blew her far into the land. Way further than anybody of her kin had ever went. The wind was so strong that she lost all her hunting equipment but the jewellry she always wore. It was the only sign of  noblesse she always kept and so she was quite happy that it was still with her. Not only because of its worth or its meaning but because of the dreammushroom seeds which had been used to build it. They would save her. Even more after she had found the ruin. After the storm had calmed down she started her work. Seed after seed was planted in the building. Then she went to sleep. It wasn't important that the storm had taken all her clothes. She was a winged one and the feathers on her body would keep her warm. The floor only lacked a bit of comfyness. But she knew that her moulting time would come soon so she could then use the old feathers as bed. Before the moulting she took care to collect enough berries and also to have enough water for the next time. It was her first moulting alone, the feeling of not being able to fly and at the same time the itching of the now growing feathers was quite unpleasant but at the same time she saw that the mushrooms grew very well. They were her hope and what would bring her back to her people at the end.  A'dhora didn't doubt at all. When the mushrooms would be ripe she would eat from one of the dreams which had grown inside of them and call her people. It was their way to communicate through distances. They would not let one of them without help and come to guide her back to the towers at the sea.

The feathers are the Fallen Gods Inc. Fantasy Faire relase. Those skins are perfect for all kind of beings with feathers if it is a raven or a dove. As special for the Fantasy Faire there has been released a Petite version of the Dove Feathers in Translucent. Those will be only available at the fantasy faire, which ends at Monday. So its time to hurry and to get one of those wonderful avatars. They come with two versions of the head a royal one and a elves one. The body is included in a pg and a normal version - for the pictures the pg one has been used. And of course there are also versions of those bodies included with hooves cut which allows to wear them with birdlegs, hooves or other kind of things to walk on.
The mushrooms are an other donation item from the faire. They come from Cerridwen's Cauldron. This store is one of the most wonderful stores for landscaping items in second life. They sell plants and more for many different kinds of surroundings and all of them are very well made and beautiful. Its amazing how many versions are included in the pack. The mushrooms come in four sizes and each of them in six colours.  All of them pulse which makes them look more fantastic and the  object in their head looks like they would give birth to a star soon.
The jewellery comes from Frippery. Its a special version of the Petite Faerie Queene Jewellery. The set includes a circlet, a necklace and a bracelet. Its amazing how small the Frippery designer can build. The set is just pretty.
The wings belong to a set from Angelwing. They go so well with the dove petites and are just beautiful.

Fire Gypsy

Normaly there were no traces in the sand. The wind blew everything away which could have been tracked. Of course there were some people who were able to track in the sands. Others called them Fire Gypsies but their real name was Oornie. Not much was known about them. Of course there were the usual rumors about stolen children. Which were not true but it was always good to have a scapegoat when not being able to take care of a child. And many were not so they left their children in the dessert sands secretly hoping that they would be found by the fiery ones. One of the unknown secrets of the Oornie was that they were not able to leave the desert it was their curse and also their benefit. Centuries ago a tribe got lost in the desert. Those people were the root of the Oornie. Lost in the desert nearly dead because of lack of water in combination with too much heat they started to pray and to beg for help and a god answered. It was none of the soft modern gods more an ancient entity with a hunger for admirers and devotes. So the Oornie got the offer to become the beings of that god. And having no other choice they accepted. Their skins turned into red and they didn't drank water anymore. Heat was now their food. They also stopped ageing. They might have been imortal if there hadn't been fights now and then in which they sometimes got killed. Later they found out that now that they didn't need it anymore they were able to call water. For a long time they ignored this abilitly but then there seemed to be a famine outside the dessert. They found more and more children. They could have transformed them so that they would become fire gypsies themself but the Oornie knew their own life too well to force it onto somebody else. So they started to use their abilities to build an oasies in the middle of the dessert. An oasis which had mainly children as inhabitants. Later some of those decided to become Oornie as well while others left the dessert to live again among humans never finding the way back to the oasis of their childhood.  Mirror's Enigma released their first Fantasy Skins to the Fantasy Faire. This is the red version of it. Its called Kaldreia  Cursed Fire. The set contains the skin with 4 makeups and each of those makeups with hairbase, with cleavage, with hairbaise and cleavate and plain. The skin is great for fantasy roleplay or to create special avatars. There is also a shape and eyes included in the set which also have been used for taking the pictures .
Wasabi Pills released a lot of new hair at the Fantasy Faire. The one on the picture is their Hawk II hair. It has two little tails at the front. The hairbands can of course be recoloured with the help of a hud.
The Outfit is an other faire new release. It comes from Evie's Closet. Fauna blogged it in an other version and wrote a lovely story about it. The outfit consists of a top and a skirt. The top can be worn with or without the sleves. All the primparts of the outfit are mod. I like the way the skirt seems to be held up by the hips. Its an outfit which is great for a gypsie or hippie look.

Words of Light

A distant observer would have had the impression that there might be a swarm of fireflies on the ruins of the temple. Normaly people stayed anyways away from this area of the forest. It was known for an area full of ghosts and others spirits. As always the truth was different. Non human beings lived in the temple. Not hidden but also not belonging to the human realms. They called themself Sinorei not that this was important as they seldom communicated with beings which did not belong to their kin. Sometimes they saw birds, animals and humans them but for them those were not real. Sounds were normaly ignored by them. They of course heard them but sounds were not interesting for the Sinorei. There was no music in their world but light and feelings. They walked past humans, wore even sometimes clothes they found left by them but never tried to communicate with them. Maybe they would have reacted on a torchlight but their language was more subtile. Waves of lights running over their skin. Glowing sparkles which escaped their fingertips. And soft touches during with the light of one floated onto the skin of the other. They did not even think that there could be other ways of communication.  How could words ever be so accurate like a slight shimmer of blue combined with a white sparkle? Trap always has been a store I love. So I was really happy when seeing that they are taking part in the Fantasy Faire. They relased new skins and tattoo to this event. The skins are available in male and female versions while the tattoos are unisex. The range of colours for the skins ranges through all shades of the rainbow to black and white while the tattoos are sold in glowing colours. A rainbow version of the tattoo is one of the relay for life donation items of Trap at the fantasy faire. The hair is a faire release from wasabi pills. Combined with the hairlayertattoo it comes with it looks like one side of the scull has been shaved while the other side is long. It is a great hair for roleplay but also goes well with a goth look. The horns and eyes on him come both from De La Soul also one of the stores which takes part at the Fantasy Faire. While all the clothes are all available at Miamai.
The couple pose on the first picture is a Posefaire Release from Captivity. Its a very sweet pose and of course its possible to edit it so that the avatars are placed together in a way which fits to their size. The other two poses come from oOo Studio.

Fairy by night

It was early morning and in the first sunlight her wings started to disappear as every day. She had enjoyed the time she spent flying through the night. The air had been warm and felt amazing on the skin. Now her wings would faint until nobody could see them anymore and she would wander home to start her normal everyday life. Cooking coffee, reading the newspaper while having breakfast, going to the opera to train for the concert at the evening. All those things and then when the last tone of the last song at the evening would be still in the ears of her audience her wings slowly would become visible again and she would fly through the night again. Never a fairy by daylight.

Its The second day of the Fantasy Faire and it would be wrong not to show this wonderful dress which is one of  the donation items from Evie's Close. Often dresses with an empire cut cause that the one who wears them looks not well proportionated, Evangeline Miles the owner of Evie's closet and creator of this dress managed to avoid this effect. Which alone makes the dress worth buying. The style of the dress is simple but with the details like the flowerish petals at the part of the dress where the top turns into the skirt make it look more playful without destroying the elegance of the cut. The dress comes with wings which could be worn or not. The skirt looks transparent. This means that there could be easily the png error which makes transparent items look strange. To avoid this the set contain non transparent underskirts in the colour of the dress. This is a very smart way to deal with that error and not to avoid transparent textures. The hair on the picture comes from Wasabi Pills. Its called Shiki. It looks like a ponytail with some streaks escaped. The clips and the hairband can be coloured in different colours with a hud which comes with the hair. The pose comes from Miamai.

The glowing ones

The rumors about the forest were all very scary and made people who heard them feel uncomfortable. So hardly anybody dared to go into the forests. Some did of course and were surprised by the beauty and the calmness. And when they finally found the pathes which lead through the forest they were not able to resist the urge to follow them.
The glowing people always enjoyed those visitors. It was entertaining to play with them. Once the glowing ones had been like normal humans but then their shamans started to grow strange mushrooms they had found in the ruins of a temple in the deepth of the forest.

Just touching the mushrooms made them feel amazing. And so they had to test how the plants would taste. It was like a mix of strawberries and pineapples a taste they had never savoured before. Of course they wanted more of it and also shared the mushrooms with their families and friends. So at the end all of them were addicted to the strange mushrooms and the more they ate of them the more they changed. Their skins became colourful and some spots of them started to glow. And not only their appearance was not very human anymore. Somehow they started to become connected. The humans who got in contact with them saw thin fibres between them but normaly they thought it would be an illusion. All of them learned that it was smarter not to trust their idea of reality but their senses.

Of all events in second life the Fantasy Faire, which will start at Saturday, is the one with the most creative Vendors. And so its not surprising how surprising the skins and tattoos from Gauze are they for this wonderful event. They remind me on my idea of the mushroom people in City of Saints and Madmen by Jeff VanderMer. The skins are being sold for both genders. They are available in four colours: Lightning, Infared, Ultraviolet and Uranium. The one on the upper picture is the Infrared one in combination with the tattoo in Gaia and the on the second the Lightning one with the tattoo in Titan. Both skins are donation items. That means that if somebody buys them the money will go to Relay for Life.
The poses used for the pictures come from an other event. The posefair which takes place on two sims this year. For the first picture a pose from oOo has been used and on the second a pose from Miamai.

[hairy spring affair]

Spring is a bit indecisive here - after a couple of weeks that were hot enough to be summer weather already, it's grey and drizzling now, so I'm rather thankful for SL's more predictable seasons. And with spring being around, I usually get the urge to give my inventory and looks a make over... this time, it were these two hairstyles I simply had to add to my collection. The one on the left is one of booN's latest releases, an incredibly realistic looking pair of long dreadlocks - in mesh! Needless to say that I immediately fell in love and bought one of the darker colour packs that includes three shades: chocolate, which I'm wearing in the picture, black and purple. Please make sure you're trying the demo that's available in store for free.

The Creators Pavillion is having a spring sale right now (ending April 15th), and that's where I grabbed the hair on the right, a feathery and slightly messy style from the - to me - unknown store called [INK]. Even though it's not scripted, the manual resizing works quite easily, and there is a bunch of 6 shades to pick from for a mere 69 L$ each. Demos are available as well. Since *ARAI* is represented at the sale as well and offers some pieces of their collection at half price, the fresh looking and vibrantly coloured nylon parka in teal made it into my shopping cart, too. Due to both female and male attachments being included in the folder, it's even unisex! Time for Spring

As every year it was a surprise when it happened. One day the world was grey and rainy and the next day spring suddenly was there. With flowers and singing birds and everything. Sheela was budy with dressing herself when she recognized it. Still wearing her comfy morning skirt and no shoes she stepped outside to wander through the now blooming garden. It was wonderful. In her mind she allready heard the sound of icecubes clicking at each other when she would have her first garden party in this year.

Fashion for life is now running for two days. Its one of the biggest fundraising events for relay for life in second life. On 10 sims fashion stores of all kinds show their creations. Two or more of those are donation items when those are being bought the money goes to relay for life and supports the american cancer society. The skin on the picture comes from Hush. In its honey tone its one of the huntgifts at fashion for life. For the picture I used the shape which has been made for the skin. What I really like it that there were fitting eyebrows included. The skirt on the picture is the latest release from Aura. Its made of mesh and comes in five sizes and is being sold in many colours. Its available in the Aura mainstore. Aura takes also part at fashion for life. Everything in their both is being donated to Relay for Life ,so its definitly worth to visit their booth. The top comes from snatch. The pack contains several colours. The cut is great and it goes well with lowrise trousers or as on the picture lowrise skirts. The hair is made of mesh and comes from wasabi pills. The two bands give if a look which reminds a bit on art nouveau.

Miamai at fashion for life

My second post relating to Fashion for life includes this delightfully opulent dress from Miamai (can be found on the dream seekers volta sim) which I want someone to make for me RL! I  love every element of this design, the shape, proportions subtle pattern and most of all what makes it for me is the peacock feather neck piece. There is a range of colours to choose from and plenty of other designs in store so please don't miss out on this one. The skin is one I have previously blogged by Hush (also exclusive at the fashion for life event) but It's my current favourite so you'll see me wear this a lot.
