Afternoon Of A Dragon

It was late afternoon and Uriella was quite ready for her proverbial 5 o'clock tea. Dragons had their habits, too, after all. She decided to assume her human form... those tiny wee teacups were not designed for claws, and she didn't want to break the last pieces from her mum's tea set. Uriella wrapped her long human fingers around the transparent bone china cup, and she sighed with relief. Winter was coming. She knew that... but she was fiery, ready and prepared.

For the night

Her skin was bright in the streetlight. Later in the club not only men would turn their head to her. But this wasn't the kind of attention she cared for. After 300 years it was rare that she was feeling anything else but boredom. The only reason for still visiting clubs was that there was nobody else who could do her task. Sometimes she tried to train people but they were all too weak. It was not easy to be a demonhunter and all of her apprentices failed when they were asked to kill a demon for the first time. Maybe they knew that they would become a half demon through it. There seemed to be something in humans which protected them.

The items being sold at the 2nd birthday of Chic are lovely. For example  the jacket and the dress come from CIA Designs. The Bolero jacket is even a gift. The prims of the sleeves are adjustable.  The dress comes on the shirt and the trousers layer. The skirt is mod and there is an alpha layer included which helps to make sure that the legs do not stick through the upper part of the skirt.
The hair is one of the latest releases from Wasabi Pills. It is made of non rigged mesh. This means it is possible to move it and to adjust it like prim hair. The cut is lovely and goes great for an elegant or a business look.
22769 are mainly known for their great clothes. But they also sell some nice accessories. For example this clutch bag. It is also made of nonrigged mesh and available in many colours so that there is enough variety which allows to find the fitting one to every outfit.
The wonderful jewellery is available at frippery. The set contains a necklace, a wristlet and earrings. All in the flower design. They are made of a huge amout of prims which creates many details.
The shoes can either be worn in a version with meshfeet or in a version in which only the toes are made of mesh. The design is cute and still elegant. They come with a hud which allows to tint the skin as well as the toenails.

Mushrooms

The only left of mankind was a rumor. But now and then archaeologists found runs which only could have been left by humans. It was normaly always a sensation when this happened. Although the buildings were way too big they were useful to grow dreammushrooms in them.  In their own houses the mushrooms never grew as big as they did in the ruins. There were different explantations for this. But the most common was that humans absorbed all the ideas around them so that the places were free of influence.  Most of the winged ones lived in high towers at the sea. And so did A'dhora de Falkenflügel. She was brave and pride like all the winged ones and beside this she was one of their future Queens. When flying home after hunting it happened to her that she got into a storm which blew her far into the land. Way further than anybody of her kin had ever went. The wind was so strong that she lost all her hunting equipment but the jewellry she always wore. It was the only sign of  noblesse she always kept and so she was quite happy that it was still with her. Not only because of its worth or its meaning but because of the dreammushroom seeds which had been used to build it. They would save her. Even more after she had found the ruin. After the storm had calmed down she started her work. Seed after seed was planted in the building. Then she went to sleep. It wasn't important that the storm had taken all her clothes. She was a winged one and the feathers on her body would keep her warm. The floor only lacked a bit of comfyness. But she knew that her moulting time would come soon so she could then use the old feathers as bed. Before the moulting she took care to collect enough berries and also to have enough water for the next time. It was her first moulting alone, the feeling of not being able to fly and at the same time the itching of the now growing feathers was quite unpleasant but at the same time she saw that the mushrooms grew very well. They were her hope and what would bring her back to her people at the end.  A'dhora didn't doubt at all. When the mushrooms would be ripe she would eat from one of the dreams which had grown inside of them and call her people. It was their way to communicate through distances. They would not let one of them without help and come to guide her back to the towers at the sea.

The feathers are the Fallen Gods Inc. Fantasy Faire relase. Those skins are perfect for all kind of beings with feathers if it is a raven or a dove. As special for the Fantasy Faire there has been released a Petite version of the Dove Feathers in Translucent. Those will be only available at the fantasy faire, which ends at Monday. So its time to hurry and to get one of those wonderful avatars. They come with two versions of the head a royal one and a elves one. The body is included in a pg and a normal version - for the pictures the pg one has been used. And of course there are also versions of those bodies included with hooves cut which allows to wear them with birdlegs, hooves or other kind of things to walk on.
The mushrooms are an other donation item from the faire. They come from Cerridwen's Cauldron. This store is one of the most wonderful stores for landscaping items in second life. They sell plants and more for many different kinds of surroundings and all of them are very well made and beautiful. Its amazing how many versions are included in the pack. The mushrooms come in four sizes and each of them in six colours.  All of them pulse which makes them look more fantastic and the  object in their head looks like they would give birth to a star soon.
The jewellery comes from Frippery. Its a special version of the Petite Faerie Queene Jewellery. The set includes a circlet, a necklace and a bracelet. Its amazing how small the Frippery designer can build. The set is just pretty.
The wings belong to a set from Angelwing. They go so well with the dove petites and are just beautiful.

Lila and Purple

The flowers were in bloom like always. Lila didn't know any other season. Just the days when spring slowly floated into summer. She was one of the small people. And as beautiful as they were she was not too fond of wearing pretty gowns. Some other small people enjoyed sneaking into the houses of humans where they pretended to be dolls until somebody sewed clothes for them. But that was nothing Lila liked. She wanted to become a cat rider something only males could become.

She was supposed to become one of the sorceresses of her clan. Her whole life had been sorted in this way. Even her name represented the colour she would use in her magic one day. And her haircolour was magically changed to this colour as well as all her clothes. And she herself had to admit that the magic seemed to call her. She got along well with the other colours and was able to create some things allready. But there was that dream. Catriders were the ones who transported messages from clan to clan while riding on cats. And Lila wanted to see more of the world than just the forest where she lived. At someday she would find a solution, she was sure about this. And then she found the lost kitten in the forest. She had no clue where it came from but it was hungry and dirty. Lila started to care for it secretly. Being feed regularly the kitten grew fast and it was very tame at least when it came to Lila. It might have been her magical powers which allowed her to communicate better with the cat than any of the catriders did with theirs. So she started to train with the kitten secretly. Fitting to her own name she called it Purple. When she was completly sure that Purple obeyed to every of her thoughts she unveiled her secret. First people were shocked but her skills were so impressive that it was finally accepted that she owned and rode a cat. And having Purple allowed her to travel and to learn from other sorceresses so that her clan had some benefits because her subborn mind at the end.

I know Elizabeth Tinsley, the owner of frippery for some time now and her patience is something which is just impressive. The amount of time it took to create the Petite Faerie Queene jewellery must be imense. The set contains a circlet, necklace, earrings, a wristlet and a ring. The ring actually is contained three times in the set for each of the handpositions for petites. As the jewellery for humans from Frippery also the jewellery for petites has wonderful natural forms and just looks playful and elegant at the same time.
The Petite Faerie sets are available in seven colours and sold at Evie's closet where also the gown on the pictures comes from. Its called Elizabeth gown and also available in seven colours. The one on the pictures is the purple one. The gown can either be worn with long sleeves or sleeveless. It is of course very elegant and perfect for every petite queen or princess. The hair is the Orion hair from Wasabi Pills rigged for Petites and the used poses are the Jewelry Standing poses from Just a pose.

Fin problems

Hippos were wise. Ayani Mimpfenbach knew this and so she used one of her rare hipposeeds to grew one. It wasn't ripe yet but allready able to give her advice. And advice was something Ayani needed. Maybe it would have been better to ask before she tried the spell which would make her a mermaid. But somehow she had supposed that everybody would have told her not to do it so she didn't share any of her plans. The result was very visible. Instead of swimming around and singing she got two horns. Not even like antlers or something she could somehow explain like treelike ones it were fin horns. It was not even possible to use them to hang up the laundry, of the tiny panda's she kept, on them. The only thing she liked about the horns was that they fit well to her hair. But nothing more.

Ayani really needed to get rid of them. A Mimpfenbach with finhorns that was something which would have caused a scandal. So Ayani was studying lots of magic books to learn how to get rid of the fins again. Her little friends helped her. Well not always the pandas always insisted on getting their morning teabath and the cat normaly wanted to play a bit but things seemed to work well. At least that was what she thought. When nearly falling asleep because of the comfy sounds the pandas made in their hot tea Ayani suddenly realized that she was able to hear way better than she ever had done before. It was amazing. And she even was able to move her finhorns in the direction where a sound came from. This was very very intresting in her opinion. The sparkles on her skin glew a bit brighter while she was pondering. Was there a way to use this ability? She pondered while reading with less intrest in her magic books. Maybe it would be better to keep the horns? Finally she had the right thought. Some magicians got paid a lot when they helped people to listen to conversations which took part in some distance. She should be able to listen to that kind of conversation too. Ayani was right about this and she did not need long to start to use her new talent. She actually became one of the most successful spys ever. She got called the living unidirectional microphone.

The petites avatars are just lovely. They have been invented by Yabusaka. He made the system very open so other stores are able to develop items for those mesh avatars, which are as high as a boot and work with normal poses and aos.
The Royale pack from Fallen Gods Inc. comes with three different skin versions and also three versions of the dresses. With the help of a hud its possible to choose between different makeups and with an other hud its possible to choose if the avatar should be full bright, smile and some more things.
Many stores made allready items for Petites. The hair on this avatar comes from Wasabi Pills. They rigged their Orion Hair so that it fits also Petite Avatars. As the hair is long it fits to every fantasy look. Frippery is known for their very detailed jewelry. They used their talents to build wonderful outfits made of roses for Petites. The roses are available in many colours and the sets contain a top and a bottom. The sparkles for petites are an other item from frippery. They are also available in many colours - the ones on the pictures are the ones in rainbow - and the sets contain animated and static versions.
The head fins are wonderful roleplay items from Material Squirrel they have the benefit to come in a version for petites and normal avatars in one pack. So they are great to use when roleplaying for example to be turned into a petite or a petite roleplaying to be turned big suddenly. Beside this they are wonderfully textured and scripted. There are actually several textures included which can be changed by touching the horns and choosing. An other nice extra is that there also animations inbuilt into the horns.
The whole decorations come from the Drowsy hunt. In this hunt you have to search for books which are spread all over the Drowsy sim. It took around two hours to find all 20 items but that time was definitly worth it all of them are very cute and the sim is awesome.
When Mavi Beck made the Picture Perfect poses she had no clue how well those would go with Petites as those were not invented when she made those poses. They are very elegant and great for fashion shoots.

Birthday Princess

At Saturday was my rl birthday so I wanted to be dressed elegantly in second life too. And I wanted to feel of course like a princess in both lives. So when seeing that Icing takes part in the disco deals at the moment I went there and got me this elegant black dress. It comes with a sculpted and a flexi skirt. As at all dresses from icing the shading is great. On the shoulders it has cute bows. The dress is also available in other colours but I liked it best n black. I added some of the happieness shared jewlery from frippery. Those consists out of many flowers and let the dress look a bit less strict.

Before going to get the dress from Icing I opened the birthday gift from a dear friend. The lingerie he has choosen is gorgeous. The set comes with the top and the bottom on the undies, undershirt and pants and shirt layer. It is lovely how many details the texture has. The cut with the seams let it look elegant, feminin and sexy and everything but cheap. Included into the set are several pairs of stockings. All of them have the classical look with seams at the backside.

Pondering about a ring

Rena was insecure. She was even very insecure. The proposal had been a big surprise and now she was not sure how to deal with it. So she sat down for a while. Her hands wandered up to her hairband and she played with it while her eyes wandered to the ring.

She never had seen a beautiful ring like this. It was so stunning. Her eyes followed all the tiny decorations at it. Rena admired the butterfly for some moments. Then she made a desicion. She did not want to give the engagment ring back. And then she thought that a guy who was able to choose such a nice ring might not be the worst. Of course he had been her boyfriend for only the last five years but at least there was still the possibility to divorce.

After she pulled her hairband out of her locks she started to wonder about the question what kind of wedding gown she should wear. The question if Aunt Anna should sit next to Grandfather Tom at the wedding or better next to one of her friends, kept Rena's mind busy for the next hours.

L. Fauna released a new line of skins. They are called Lea. The skins come in several skintones (pale, tan and dark and in each of those in three different tones) and which is special every skinpack contains the skin in four different versions for different breast sizes. There are also fitting shapes to the skins available. The shapes and skins are very cute. Very useful is that there are several eyebrows are included. Those don't come on the tattoo layer. The designer put them onto the hair layer instead of that. This is very smart in my opinion as she also designed several makeups for the tattoo layer. So that users who use phoenix or an other viewer which only supports one tattoo layer don't have a problem. The shape I used for the pictures is also contained in the skinpack.
The outfit on the first picture comes from acid and mala. The set with the top contains also a dress. The trousers are the gift int he depraved summer nights hunt from the same store. Their texture is very well made and they are unisex. So might work well in the switch your gender for 0 linden challenge.

The hair is one of the latest releases from Wasabi Pills. It could be worn with or without the hairband. The look is very cute and the hairband has the option to be tinted in several colours so that it fits perfectly to every outfit. It is available in a wide range of colours. Very nice is also that the hair has less then 50 prims.

Dressed for the beach

Spending a day at the beach. And of course wearing a bikini. But the sunblocker was a bit old so it turned out into strange patterns because of being a bit glue like.
The skate'n surf hunt started at saturday and the gifts in it are great. Fauna showed allready many of them and looked just great in the outfits. So here a bikini I love. It comes from Apricot Paws. The stripes i described as sunblocker are from enlil. They are tintable so you could simply use them as body paint. The wristlet is a hunt gift was well. The colours fit well to the water theme. Ok everybody the Skate N surf hunt starts today so get your skates on! or skateboard or even surfboard! lol. This is is the best unisex hunt i've ever experienced, with many stores offering both male & female options. I will post more of the items from the hunt , but first I wanted start with this great shape from CS Shapes, only once have I ever changed shape for a blog post, but I love the Lana shape so much that I may have to perminently keep this shape it's so perfectly proportioned! and also shows of this cute bikini from Splendeurs surfwear to the finest! so a great place to start!

Working plans

Sabja and Amphisbaene her friend and confidant were tired. They had worked the whole night but it seemed like were slowly getting what they wanted. Born as human Amphisbaene had been cursed and forced to live as snake but this did not disconnect her from her magical powers soon she was able to transform in nearly every form she wanted to use. Sabja was the daughter of the archmage, so she was often the target of assaults but the snake had started to help her friend. This night was an important night Amphisbaene had spend ages in the workplace of one of the biggest enemys of Sabja's mother. For hours she had pretended to be a sculpture and so she had been able to hear whispered secrets and even more important she knew what the wizzard planed. He wanted to send his men to kidnap and to kill Sabja, one of his apprentices should transfer the soul of one of his cats into her body and revive her again. Nobody but Sabja knew that Amphisbaene was the strongest mage in the town and the snake did not want her friend to be killed. So she forced the wizzard to look like Sabja. Filled up with drugs they locked him in Sabja's room and were amazed finding him the next day and had a good laugh when he asked for milk.

The items in this blog post come all from stores I love and they have all one thing in common. Frippery, Gilded, Sterling Artistry,Kouse's Sanctum and Wasabi Pills take all part at the Fantasy faire. Gilded made the crystal wings they come in several sizes and with and without resize script. The set contains also a crystal mask for the face. The eyes are a donation item from Sterling Artistry. They are very big as it are elf eyes and the textures are wonderful as all eyes from that store. The long ponytail hair with the twigs is the latest release from Wasabi Pills and also available without the twigs and in many many colours. I love dresses in ocean colours and so this gown from Kouse's Sanctum makes me smile. The shades of green and blue are just lovely.

The Jewlery from Frippery fits perfectly to the rest of the outfit or the outfit fits perfectly to the jewlery. The bracers on the upper picture are the Frippery donation items at the faire. They are mod so it was no problem to make them smaller to make them fit. They look like being made of golden metal with tiny purple roses on them. The idea is great and Elizabeth, the owner of Frippery, must have spend lots of hours being very concentrated while building them.

At the fantasy faire also a hunt is going on. The earrings and the necklace belong to the hunt gift from Frippery. They are made of many many small prims and look very beautiful. I guess they suit every princess, queen or fairy. A necklace also belongs to the set. Frippery takes also part in the silent auction at the fantasy faire. The prize Elizabeth offers there is very special. It is one item which will be created special for the winner of the auction. So the winner will be her muse and she will build something unique for that person. Elizabeth's skills are amazing so its a great chance to get something really special and even help the American Cancer Society by doing so.

Bunny year

Its chinese new year and this year its year of the bunny. So they think that they would have the right now to talk a lot. Like carrots are the best food. Carrot cake for the masses and gras we do not eat gras we want carrots ... the only solution is to press the hands on the ears till they have finished their odd talk or have sore throats and stop talking because of that.

At the Ozimal sims a hunt to the chinese new year is taking place at the moment. As the hunts before you need to search for objects and get keys you could use in the stores on the sims to get the gifts. The dress and the tattos on the picture are from katat0nik. Elizabeth Tinsley must be the most patient person i know. She loves to build wonderful jewlery with many many details. And her creations are all unique. Either with funny creatures like her halloween sets or just wonderful like the flower wristlets, earrings and necklaces she builds. I m not able to imagine how patient somebody must be who is able to build a necklace using more than 200 (sculpted) prims. I would go crazy when doing something like that.
Beside being creative Elizabeth is also very nice and friendly and has a big heart. It needs to be added that she is also witty and helps in unique situations like when i need a quick language help when being roleplaying and not able to understand some slang words or do not know the meaning of a figure of speech. To keep it short i would definitly call her a friend (i would say even she is a great friend but that might make her blush).
This year she is going to give great gifts for christmas. From now until Saturday, December 25, 2010 people could come to her store - Frippery - and choose their favourite piece. Then they could send Elizabeth a notecard with the name of the piece and the person who would like it for christmas. As all her items are no copy but trans this means its even possible to gift the gift from Elizabeth somebody else.

Walking through snow

Wandering throught the garden searching for a hill which might be high enough to slide down from it. The green dress is the x-mas gift from the delectable doll. There are little lights on the skirt which even blink. The boots, the earmuffs and the gloves are the subscribergift from spellbound. This golden dress is the subscriber gift from Miamai. It comes with a big fur collar and also a big skirt.

Ice skating

Spending some time with iceskating. But as being really brilliant in it and a even better in bragging about it nobody wanted to come with me. So having to skate all alone. At least that means that nobody could disturb me.
The wonderful purple iceskating dress is a lucky board item from evie's closet. As a decent iceskating dress it is very short. The dress could be worn either with stockings or without and has the option to wear it with long sleeves. The name of the dress is Elizabeth, which reminds me on an other Oubliette Girl - Elizabeth Tinsley, the owner of Frippery - who created fitting jewlery to the Elizabeth dresses. The Jewlery is available in silver and in gold as i like silver much more than gold here a picture of the silver version. The set includes earrings, a necklace and a wristlet.

Here a picture of the iceskating dress worn with long arms. Worn this way you wear kind of a jacket made of the same material as the dress over the dress. The pose in the front was made by a third Oubliette-Girl, Milly Santos. She owns No Strings Attached my favourite store for poses as she has so great ideas.

The pictures on the ice have been taken with the KAMI-HITOE Iceskating ao (that store is also known for making the best mermaid aos). The ao is also available on the Oubliette sim. Its a great ao. For example on the picture below is the crouch move shown.

Treasures

Emily Merrowind was a pirate by birth and a captain by adoption. She loved to sail, to fight and to drink. Normaly she spend her time on deck with watching the sea and playing with the anchor at her belt. The anchor was her lucky charm as it was the anchor of the fist ship she boarded alone. She did that in the age of 8. But well that might be only a cock and bull story. Emily knew nearly every secret of the sea but she didn t know why she was tattooed all over. She only remembered the pain from beeing tattooed but her second father never spoke about her real parents so she also didn t ask. But then they sailed to that area where she had never been before and somehow she recognized that the knots in her tattoos as islands around her. Emily went to her cabin and spend some time on examing every inch of her skin. She realized that her skin had been turned into a treasure map.
Later in the evening when her crew was sleeping she jumped through the bull's-eye into the water and swam to the island, she supposed the treasure had been hidden on it. She only took her knive, some clothes she had found on a ship she boarded and a lamp with herself (she put those things on a little raft). At the shore she exchanged her clothes and was embarrassed. She had forgotten to spend time on having a look as the clothes and so she had choosen a very pretty golden dress with butterfly wings for her adventure. Hoping that nobody would identify her with open hair she made her way into a tunnel.
Luckily she had her magical eyebrows. The tunnel was very dark and the light of the latern didn't help much. But the eyebrows helped a lot. Wearing them she was able to see much in the darkness.
After a while she heared the sound of water. But not the sound of brine. It was the sound of fresh water. And in the water she found the treasure. Big blue jewels hidden perfectly under the water surface. Emily picked one of them and made her way back to her boat. At the next day she went back with her crew and they all became very very rich. Emily used her asset to buy a nice title. She became Duchess Stellamaris and spend her time on causing scandals, drinking and becoming the most famous rose-cultivator in the whole known world.
Its the magic of oz Anniversary and because of that a hunt is taking place. Three of the Oubliette girls are taking part in this hunt. Elizabeth from Frippery made the great eyebrows with the cute pumpkins, the golden dress with the wings is the gift from Evie's Closet and Milli, the creative mind behind No Strings Attached made the Latern which could be used with a pose or with the ao. The belt with the anchor is the latest item from [COGOO] it is resizeable so it fits smaller avatars as well as wild and strong pirate captains with a huge belly. The celtic tattoo is the gift from Fallen God Inc. in the Celtic Magic Hunt. The only negative thing you could say about it is that it doesn t look great if you wear all the included layers at once ;-).

Hidden talents

Edita was a special elf. Her ears looked like somebody pulled on them for hours and her hair. Just not like elf hair. It even looked greasy. But the worst was her behaviour. She wanted to be a fae. Of course she didn't look at all like one of those elegant and beautiful beings. She was dirty, her skin was so rotten that it needed to be stitched from time to time. And she drank. She drank much. But one day she was allready drunk when walking to the distillery. So by mistake she tool the wrong way and ended up in the forge. It was empty as the blacksmith had fallen for a centaur he shoed - but thats an other story. So Edita made her way into the forge.
She had to test all the materials the blacksmith left behind. And she was really surprised about her talent.
First she made herself a pair of wings. It was a mix of cloth and metal and it looked great. She also managed to build fitting jewlery. Edita wasn t the only one who liked her creations. A lot of people came and bought her wings and her jewlery.
So soon she was a rich woman. She bought new clothes. And new hair. And one day she met a magician in the distillery.
It wasn't cheap and it hurt a lot but after a week she had real wings.
Elizabeth Tinsley of Frippery and Cane Sutter of Skinthesis are not only great designers well they are great designers but that means that they are also rather creative. So they had the idea of creating a fairy set which fits to the season. So Frankenfae was born. They invited their friends to take part in the creation of Frankenfairy. So Evie's Closet created a cute a bit torn fairy dress, Angelwings came up with a funny green dress with lots of patches and Milli from No Strings Attached build some great poses (she always builds great poses) which fit perfectly to the theme. Combining those items with the metal wings from Frippery and the skin and the hair from Skinthesis its a great mix for a spooky looking fairy avatar. Its possible to buy the single parts so you could build up your own Franken Fairy.

Jewelry for Halloween

Jumping a bit around to become fit for a long trick or treat night. So for becoming fit some jumping jacks are a good start although the coordination isn`t perfect yet. But the jewlery picked for that night is. As earrings i picked the Witch's Brew Earrings from Frippery. They are great. On the one ear you wear a little witch and on the other one you have her cauldron.
There are some more halloween themed earrings and necklaces available at frippery. For example the ones with the vampire and his coffin. Fitting to the earrings there is a necklace with a vampire and the word tasty available. If you prefer not to wear the opposite of a garlic necklace you could wear the spooky necklace. It showes a ghost. Fitting to that you could get earrings with ghosts and a graveyard.
There are also some great halloween rings. You could either get the unholy union together on three rings (they are one item you wear at one attachment point) or you buy a single ring. I still wonder what the witch and the vampire do together after halloween. Maybe they visit Santa Claus and help the elves. The pumpkins are also available at earrings of course.
What really amazes me about the jewlery from frippery are the details. Here a close picture of an earring. The creator used so many little prims. I still can't imagine that somebody has the patience to build such a piece.
