Wildehaven Marsh to Tangleshimmer Grove

The marshlands had been a good place to grow. Few others from the outside world may have seen Wildehaven Marsh as the adventure playground it had always appeared to the eyes of those fortunate enough to dwell there. In the darkest dankest reaches of the mire, where creatures slithered, crept and crawled, they learned the iridescent and beautiful could be found. In the toads eye were held all the colours of the earth, the snakes scale, all the colours of the sky. Here she had grown, running through silt, tripping over tree roots; until she could climb moss strewn branches, and finally, her wings unfurling, take flight.

Now she had grown, had spread her wing and flown, it was time to leave the marsh. There was a whole word to explore, skills and abilities to develop, always always so much to learn. In the marsh, she had been as cygnet to swan, by necessity her form and choice of vestment most fitted the miasma. Out in the grove, her plumage had changed. Wings hidden, little need here to fly through the trees when such easy paths and waterways beckoned. In the sunlight, her colours shone. Tangleshimmer, this place was called; within it she found new beauty, a new life, and hope.

Love Hurts

As the day of the Saint rolled closer and closer, love was in the air. Valentine had never set foot here, few would by choice. Few, but some. The darker alleyways are sometimes the best places for some lovers to meet, after all, who would look to find them both there?

The demon and the angel had met there once by chance, many years before. The alleyway had grown no cleaner over time, though at least the body of the one whose soul each had come to claim that fateful night had gone. Food no doubt for the rats which scurried ceaselessly between crates and trashcans. Love like this was not something that could be explained, too close to hate as it was. They should loathe each other, and certainly, each felt nothing but repulsion for all the other stood for. Despite all of this, love was what it was.

Whenever good and evil came together, there was bound to be violence. Angels would do all they could to be good and fair, and Demons likewise to be destructive and evil. Violent passion drew them back there each time, despite the inevitable pain that would follow.  Far from these opposites of feeling, emotion and nature cancelling each other out to some even keel, sparks would fly, and blood would flow.

Each time they met, there would be love. At each meeting; pain. The cycle continuing on and on throughout the ages.  As they loved each other, the Angel would give up his heart, and the Demon, she would eat it...

Oh Valentines... Death as love. How fitting for these latest releases!

NSA4 Hunt - Prickly Rose

Twitty Pitt was tiny but determined... and that was why Mr Maybug, the owner of „Maybug’s Miracle Maggots” preferred her to any other employee. „Withering waterlilies? Drooping daffodils? Call Maybug’s Miracle Maggots, and we sort out your issue! No more undisciplined gardens, no more riotous hedgerows, no more weeds picknicking on your verandah! Our qualified personnel will see to your needs in an instant!” – ran the slogan of MMM, and Twitty Pitt embodied all the promises. She was a born gardener, after all. What else a Rose Fairy could be?

Then, one day, Mr Maybug waved Twitty into his office. “Miss Pitt, we have a problem here!” – said he and looked rather worried. “The owner of a huge junkyard has just called. He’s extremely wealthy and he’s extremely demanding... and he literally needs us to perform a miracle. That desert of waste and dirt must become a green field in 24 hours. Can we do that, Miss Pitt?” Twitty just nodded and flew out of the room, looking as determined as ever.

Mr Maybug felt those 24 hours would never end and Twitty Pitt would never show up again... but indeed she did, a bit dirty but very satisfied. “Mr Maybug, the mission is complete, but you forgot to tell me that the customer wasn’t only rich and demanding, but extremely rude as well! He ordered me around and shouted at me... and he got the green field he wanted... but I’d like to see his face when he finds out those green plants are nettle and poison ivy!” Twitty Pitt cackled, and for a second Mr Maybug couldn’t decide if he wanted to sack her or double her salary.

The Fallen

The fall itself did not seem to hurt him...

Not in a physical sense anyway, though, he may not know, or understand this, it being afterall the first time he had taken physical form. Until now, he had been a being of pure light and shadow, even the angels now had some shadow to them, some understanding, however vague, of the world below. The dawn had come, it was his time, his turn to fall, to carry some light with him, and be tested against the darkness. Should it come to pass that he help, or hurt, even he did not yet know. As he fell, bathed in the strangely warm blue light, his path was unknown to him, his character forming from the atoms as they wrapped together, his true self only now coming together. The light and shadow mingled within him, heart and lungs, skin and bone. Falling further and faster, the world opened up beneath him, its heat, its life, its billions of heartbeats, each one affecting him, making his mind clearer, setting his goals.

As the light bathed his new form, his fall came to an end. The virgin touch of skin on sand burned with icy fire, he knew nothing else... this must be how it was, to touch, to feel. With newfound eyes he looked around, saw the beauty and the barrenness of this world, felt more of its power, its malaise. As the light still shone, further changes were wrought. As his plans formed, all he would need to begin was given to him, soft black animal hide, the sensation of a sound, a word, formed in his mind "Leather" even as the material clothed him. This must be it. This was all he needed. He was ready. Stepping from the light, a sure step, no sense of it being the first he had taken, and he was gone, off to start his work in the world.

Fin problems

Hippos were wise. Ayani Mimpfenbach knew this and so she used one of her rare hipposeeds to grew one. It wasn't ripe yet but allready able to give her advice. And advice was something Ayani needed. Maybe it would have been better to ask before she tried the spell which would make her a mermaid. But somehow she had supposed that everybody would have told her not to do it so she didn't share any of her plans. The result was very visible. Instead of swimming around and singing she got two horns. Not even like antlers or something she could somehow explain like treelike ones it were fin horns. It was not even possible to use them to hang up the laundry, of the tiny panda's she kept, on them. The only thing she liked about the horns was that they fit well to her hair. But nothing more.

Ayani really needed to get rid of them. A Mimpfenbach with finhorns that was something which would have caused a scandal. So Ayani was studying lots of magic books to learn how to get rid of the fins again. Her little friends helped her. Well not always the pandas always insisted on getting their morning teabath and the cat normaly wanted to play a bit but things seemed to work well. At least that was what she thought. When nearly falling asleep because of the comfy sounds the pandas made in their hot tea Ayani suddenly realized that she was able to hear way better than she ever had done before. It was amazing. And she even was able to move her finhorns in the direction where a sound came from. This was very very intresting in her opinion. The sparkles on her skin glew a bit brighter while she was pondering. Was there a way to use this ability? She pondered while reading with less intrest in her magic books. Maybe it would be better to keep the horns? Finally she had the right thought. Some magicians got paid a lot when they helped people to listen to conversations which took part in some distance. She should be able to listen to that kind of conversation too. Ayani was right about this and she did not need long to start to use her new talent. She actually became one of the most successful spys ever. She got called the living unidirectional microphone.

The petites avatars are just lovely. They have been invented by Yabusaka. He made the system very open so other stores are able to develop items for those mesh avatars, which are as high as a boot and work with normal poses and aos.
The Royale pack from Fallen Gods Inc. comes with three different skin versions and also three versions of the dresses. With the help of a hud its possible to choose between different makeups and with an other hud its possible to choose if the avatar should be full bright, smile and some more things.
Many stores made allready items for Petites. The hair on this avatar comes from Wasabi Pills. They rigged their Orion Hair so that it fits also Petite Avatars. As the hair is long it fits to every fantasy look. Frippery is known for their very detailed jewelry. They used their talents to build wonderful outfits made of roses for Petites. The roses are available in many colours and the sets contain a top and a bottom. The sparkles for petites are an other item from frippery. They are also available in many colours - the ones on the pictures are the ones in rainbow - and the sets contain animated and static versions.
The head fins are wonderful roleplay items from Material Squirrel they have the benefit to come in a version for petites and normal avatars in one pack. So they are great to use when roleplaying for example to be turned into a petite or a petite roleplaying to be turned big suddenly. Beside this they are wonderfully textured and scripted. There are actually several textures included which can be changed by touching the horns and choosing. An other nice extra is that there also animations inbuilt into the horns.
The whole decorations come from the Drowsy hunt. In this hunt you have to search for books which are spread all over the Drowsy sim. It took around two hours to find all 20 items but that time was definitly worth it all of them are very cute and the sim is awesome.
When Mavi Beck made the Picture Perfect poses she had no clue how well those would go with Petites as those were not invented when she made those poses. They are very elegant and great for fashion shoots.

Fester

The light in the castle was green. There had been humans who became sick only because of the light. Not that any of those who lived in the castle cared about this. More suffering made the things even more intresting. Ages ago Fester had been an elf. Now only some ancient trees remembered the time when he walked frolicing through the forest. Everything could have been perfect. He was the young lord of an old elf clan and supposed to marry the one he loved soon. But then she disappeared. There were rumors that she had been kidnapped by drow and Fester tried to find her. After spending ages in the woods following traces only he could see he had to find out that she had not been kidnapped. She had left by free will with the drow. When Fester found the two she started to beg him to take her back but having been worried about her for so long and finding her with somebody else and not even willing to stand to her desicion made him so angry that he lost his selfcontroll. It wasn't hate what he felt. He despised her. The drow wasn't an opponent for him. Fester fought him down quickly. There was no reason to let the man suffer. But her he wanted to see in pain.

Of course he had known about the castle and he told her that he would let her rest there. If he would have been completly honst he would have added the word final but there was no more reason for him to be honest to her. She was scared, there were rumors about the castle. It was said that it would influence the beings inside of it. But she knew that she had made a mistake so she did not want to doubt his desicions and followed him. Maybe it was the castle, maybe his rage which made him torture her on the most horrible ways. As he always took care only to hurt her in a way which would be really painful and not kill her the torture took weeks. And he changed in this time. His pointy ears became like the ears of humans and he grew antlers while his eyes turned red. Fester did not only torture her he also cut into his own skin but his scars healed imediatly, which made him more angry. He hated to fail in expressing how much she had hurt his heart. Not careing if he would stay alive he used his knife to open his chest and to cut his heart out. A smirk was resting on his lips while he forced her to eat it. After this moment he had been completly turned. A black heart grew inside of his chst and finally he killed her. It wasn't a death by mercy he had become bored of her and lusted for a new victim.

The owner of Miamai and A:S:S are friends so its not surprising that their items fit well together. For example this coat for men from the Miamai Blacklabel with the feastring from A:S:S deluxe. The coat comes with sculpted sleeves, a great collar and shoulderpads which look like having been made of elegantly formed stones decorated with gems. The set includes pants and also a band to wear around the hips and lower stomach. The coat could either be worn with plain black or with white black fur in the inside. The feast ring from A:S:S deluxe could be described best with "the beauty of decay". It is big and extravagant and as beautiful it is there are maggots on it. The ring has a resizescript which makes it very comfy to adjust it perfectly. The antlers come from material squirell they have the option to tint them in several colours. They are made of nonrigged mesh which explains why they look so smooth. The skin is the angelus skin from Fallen Gods Inc. which also works for pale more evil roleplay characters and the hair comes from Wasabi Pills and is also made of mesh. The boots from DragansVarg are for females but they are mod so it was possible to make them bigger to use them with a male avatar.

Changeling

The light fell on her antlers and made them look like they would be glowing. In the heart of winter Eyllis always returned to the dirty old street where she grew up. Not that anybody would have been able to see her or even to touch her. She seemed to be invisible for the most humans. Some saw her and supposed that she might be a ghost which came around to haunt them.

Eyllis was of course not the first name she had gotten. When she had been born her human parents gave her the name Susanna. It always felt wrong for her but even when she was in the age that she would have been able to change her her name she did not know what different name she could choose. Normaly she felt like she would be at the completly wrong place. There was always something missing. Then one day she saw the old fae and the fae saw her and made her an offer. They would exchange their identities and the old fae would spend the rest of her years in human company while Susanna would start a life in the company of mysticial creatures. Antlers started to grow out of her head and she became able to see in the night. After a while she was not able to describe how glad she was that she never had been baptized else she would never have had the chance to be happy as changeling.

Material Squirrel is a wonderful store when it comes to fantasy accessories like wings. Now they released their first mesh items which are horns and antlers. At the antlers the benefits of mesh are well visible. There are no parts where the textures do not fit perfectly and all connections look natural. Beside this it is possible to choose between several textures and as the antlers aren't rigged they even come with a resize option. The boots are an other meshitem. They come from Miamai and are available in several colours. The shading is very beautiful and I like the asymetrical look of the boots as the lacing isn t in the middle but on their side. The biggest benefit of meshboots is of course that they bend with the movement of the leg so that the time of prims getting through the knee is over. The boots are included in a smaller and a bigger version and alphalayers for both of those. They fit also small avatars. The white outfit comes from deviousMind. Their items always have great textures. This set also contains stockings and a hat but as stockings normaly do not look good in high boots and hats and antlers are not always friends I did not show those items. The skirt comes in two versions a shorter one and a longer one and there are several options how to wear the outfit. For example the corset could also be worn with suspenders and of course its also possible to wear it without the pasties or without the collar.

Demonfairy

Sina spent her life floating through the forest and over the meadows. She knew how to dance on a flower and how to spread fairy dust. But she was also very curious and when she once saw a sleeping demon in the woods she wasn t able to resist and kissed him. Since that her life became a bit strange.

Not soon after she had kissed the demon horns started to grow out of her head. First she tried to hide them. She told her friends that she would have started to wear twigs on her head. Some fairies liked that idea and started to wear twigs on their head.

But when she started to grow a tail she supposed that she would get into trouble. It was getting more and more tricky to hide her transformations. So she told her fellow fairies that she had found a way to let herself grow a tail. Of course she did not speak about how her mind changed. She was still able to dance on flowers and also to spread fairy dust but somehow everything she touched was corrupted.

Sina didn't mind it. For her the flowers and the beings around her just became more beautiful with every touch of her. They became more like her. And this was what she wanted now. Everything should be like her. She only wasn't happy that it took so long to change everybody and everything. But when she went to the spring she got a slight idea about how to speed up the process.

A reader told me about the midnight mania at. The gift is a complete sucubus avatar. I liked the tail, the horns and the rings best of the avatar so I used them together with the crystal fairy skin from Fallen Gods Inc. and wings from Material Squirell to put a demonfairy avatar together. The fitting hair comes from Wasabi Pills. The wings are a relay for life donation item. They have been sold at the fantasy faire but Kala, the owner of Material Squirell decided to put them into the store until the Relay for Life season 2011 ends. That means they are only available for a limited time. The wings are sold in packs which contain several colours of them. For all the pictures exept the one at the spring I used the Forest Dryad AO from Creative Insanity. Its a great ao for fairies and other flying beings. On the 2nd, 3rd and 4th picture the skin looks like it would be actually the violet crystal Fae skin. This is caused by the windlight setting I choosed for the pictures.

Strawberries with Ice

Ines was an ice fairy. She only knew snow and ice. Her wings were made for the cold climate. Normal wings would break if they would be covered with ice. Ine's wings were more flexible. Ice fairies were also a bit rougher than other fairies. Ines family were hunter. They hunted big moths which lived in icecaves in the mountains. Those moths had amazing wing which were like leather. The icefairies used them to create stunning dresses with them. The parts they did not need, for example the legs, they exchanged for cloth. It was a calm life and Ines liked it.

But one day she found a iced strawberry at the shore. She had never seen such a fruit before and was very irritated by it. Ines poked the strawberry with her finger and pulled it back quickly. By mistake she licked over her finger and was stunned. The glimps of sweetness was nearly too much for her. The icefairy used a knive to cut a little piece out of the strawberry and ate it. It was intense but also seemed like it would be even more intense if it would not be frozen.

It was a tough desicion but at the end Ines decided to search for the source of the strawberries. She also supposed that they were a good item to trade although she did not really know what would be worth to be traded against a strawberry. She flew for a long time until she reached the summerlands. It was very warm in her opinion so she took off her dress. And then she found fresh strawberries. Ines slowly picked one of the red fruits and put it in her mouth. The taste was amazing she had supposed that they would taste better when they would be fresh but she had not been prepared on this taste. It was so tasty and exciting that even her wings started to glow in shades of red and pink. Ines never went pack to her cold homelands instead she stayed in the summerlands and became the most famous strawberry grower which ever existed. If a strawberry is very tasty its most likely one of Ines strawberries.

The blue gown, which looks like being made for elves, is one of the donationitems from Demons and Angel's.It is very well textured and has an intresting cut. The belt has a shield on the front side which has the colours of the corset. It looks like the skirt and the sleeves are made of heavy cloth. So its a good elegant gown which could be worn in winter or colder areas. The set even includes boots.
Demons and Angel's has also a great outfit for men in the silent auction which will end at saturday.
Material Squirrel created those wonderful wings as donation item for the faire. They are available in many colours and four designs. The wings come in packs which contain ten different colours. They all come of course with the Material Squirrel wing hud and the possibility to touch them. The ones on the upper pictures are a bit darker in the colours and might fit well to a fairy which is not as jolly as a fairy with colourful wings.
The skin is the azure version of the Crystal Fae wings from Fallen Gods Inc.. I love the colour and the elegance of the skin. They are only sold at the fantasy faire yet. The modesty cover made of wings is a gift on the faire from Fallen Gods Inc. too. For this post I used one of the Fae versions of the skin. Those have wing textures in the face and on the body.
This version of the hair from Wasabi Pills is a donation item one. It has been made to fit the crystal skins perfectly.
Even the butterfly on the third picture is a donation item. It flys around the avatar and comes from Angelwing.
The big strawberry comes from Rebel Xtravaganza. Its made to sit on it.

Snowlove

Milky was a rather annoying fairy. She was always searching for her one true love. Unfortunatly she thought that everything could be her true love. So she managed to make a farmer nearly insane because she fell deeply in love to his appletree. Milky spend hours dancing around the appletree or pretending that she was reading near it only to gain the attention of the tree. When the farmer send his daughter to pick the apples she was chased away by Milky as the fairy supposed that the daughter would be also intrested in the apple tree. The farmer was really angry and went to a witch who told him to tell Milky that her true love is a snowflake and that the appletree allready is in love with the cherrytree. The farmer followed the witches advise. So Milky started spending all her winters dancing through the snow trying to get in contact to the snowflakes but none of them ever answered.
Material Squirrel have a christmas hunt going on in their store. You search for christmas gifts which contail pretty wings which look like being made of a mix of snowflakes and lichen. I like them a lot although i doubt that i will ever use them in roleplay. The wings come with the material squirrel wing hud. That means they got x-cite touch, you could choose if they should flap or not and change the size and the wingspan.
The dress is a *G-field* subscriber gift. Its very pretty but a bit cold in winter.

Blue fairy dreams

A fairy jumping innocently from leaf to leaf searching for a frog to kiss. When getting in danger to fall into the water she flutters her wings quickly. But the frogs know her allready so they hide. Once she managed to catch one and he had to spend lots of time in an old boot while she was thinking if she should kiss him or not.The blue dress is from the midnight mania board at Kouse's sanctum. It comes with three kinds of skirts. So it fits also smaller avis. The shades of blue used in the dress are amazing. The white wings are from the Material Squirrel Wings lucky board. Those boards change rather fast and there are many of them. So its fun to go there because you win a lot.The wings are lovely and come with a hud to adjust the size and the flapping. They even have xcite touch. It was actually Storm who told me to go there and it was a rather good hint from him. I took the picture at greenhouse one of my favourite sims.
