Afternoon Of A Dragon

It was late afternoon and Uriella was quite ready for her proverbial 5 o'clock tea. Dragons had their habits, too, after all. She decided to assume her human form... those tiny wee teacups were not designed for claws, and she didn't want to break the last pieces from her mum's tea set. Uriella wrapped her long human fingers around the transparent bone china cup, and she sighed with relief. Winter was coming. She knew that... but she was fiery, ready and prepared.

Battles in Wonderland

Alice had long been told she was mad. "After all, we are all Mad here..." The Hatter's saying may as well have been the National Anthem of Wonderland, if people there could put aside their contrariness and concentrate for long enough to make such a decision. That, of course, was about as likely as the caterpillar putting aside his pipe, or the dormouse staying dry. This was not to say that nothing ever changed there, no. Alice's reputation as 'Mad' had been confirmed for many by her rebellion against the Queen of hearts. Was it mad to stand up against tyranny? Alice couldn't think so. It could feel like a never ending task, visiting friends and strangers; letting them know the reign of the Queen was at an end, along with all of her inexplicable rules. There would always be those not accepting of change, and then further battles would follow. If they called her mad for making a change, or mad for expecting them to change along with her she didn't mind. With her Cheshire she would walk the new Wonderland, setting minds and hearts free.

 First post of items from The Fantasy Gacha Carnival in November. The theme this month is MMORPG Battlefield, and there are, as ever, items from the wonderful designers to suit all tastes and RP styles. I've tried hard this month to stick to advice of others who play the gachas, try three times, if you didn't get the item or the colour you were after, c'est la vie. Move on. I say I tried. I didn't always succeed... Still, gachas being gachas, that just means I had some very lucky friends who got my duplicates!

Fantasy Gacha Carnival

Green Mire

The mire had many moods, many colours and many names. Each person visiting, day tripping, fishing or camping saw it in their own way. It appeared different to them because it was. Straying from the path was dangerous, so read the signs, rotten and tilted along the edge of the road. Hardtop disintegrated into gravel and gave way to mud. Pathways diverted here and there, some strewn with shotgun shells, others with candy wrappers. The one she had chosen that day led through dappled sunlight, rotten boards beneath her feet took her to the hammock. Long hours Athena had spent in the hammock that day, as the sun moved across the sky, crickets chirped in the grasses, and toads joined in chorus from the marsh. As dusk fell, and noises of others in the area faded away she moved, following the last of the light. On the far side of the marshy peninsular stone statues moved, the low grinding sound of their motion vibrating through the mire. In the distance, shouts came, youthful voices of exultation echoed through the trees, then silence caused her to turn. Following the direction from where the last shouts had come, Athena passed what she took as their camp site, a tent, and a boat, two sleeping bags, so small. Following the path up the hill, small footprints in the mud, chasing, chasing the silence. Over the rise, and there was the hollow. Glowing with some otherworldly light. Who could resist? She had to descend into it, had to find out... Madpeas are here again!

The Green Mire is another immersive adventure playground, this time set in a truly beautiful marshy woodland. There's nooks and crannies to explore, and part one of a storyline to follow, with more promised on the way. For this section of the game, you will need to have sounds on! Bring your camera, and bring your break, you will need both.
