Evie's closet at The Fantasy Faire

Polonadine lived her whole life in obscurity, hidden from society and locked away in long forgotten folly which lay dormant in King Tyrodone's Castle grounds. For when she was born, she had been granted with a magical gift of beautiful golden nectar infused hair, which was the only source of nectar on which the Monarch Morphios butterfly could feed. It was her legacy that she, Polonadine, would be responsible for the preservation of these rare species of butterfly. As she was such a striking beauty King Tyrodone soon heard of this young maiden with her rare gift and decided that he must have her as his own.



Polonadine had never attempted to break free from her incarceration but one day she grew curious. That was the day when the kings Lepidopterist came for his usual visit. Polonadine had convinced the man she had seen a new unknown species of butterfly and that it must be investigated at once! Polondine told the Lepidopterist that the new species liked not humidity, but the coolness of the well, and as he made to look in the well Polonadine pushed the man in! As Polandine reached the boundaries of the Castles confines she lamented, actually, she thought, I do have such pretty clothes and many books to read, I have no chores to do, perhaps I should give this more thought. As she turned and made back for the folly, she considered her options which would not be difficult, especially since Lepidopterist had met such and unfortunate fate & who else knew so much about butterflies?

Well I see what all the fuss is about The Fantasy Faire, it's the most incredible opportunity for creators to be totally unfettered and wow are there some amazing things to be seen. The realms of fantasy in this world are boundless and today I'm sampling out some gems from Skinthesis which are from the day 2 releases. My choices are butterfly themed, being the wings and make up, Ok I might just have a wing obsession now. For the wings there are 13 shades which come in 2 sizes.  OH am I giddy about a the sale at Priss! there are many items at only 30L including this pretty little vest with  a flower corsage, there's also a new customer appreciation gift too which is a lovely little mesh clutch purse. Well you know how I love to bargain hunt so I popped along to one of my new favourite super bargain stores Evergreen only to find that there's this pretty shiny hair on the luckyboard, there is also a small selection of hairs in store for sale at only 80L each. I'm also loving the new release skin at Hush, I adore the silky smooth complexion of the skins but particularly like the make up on this one with it's subtle quirky different colour of top and bottom lips.

Fairy wings that don't fly

Of course these wings fly! and I have to confess that I was amazed at my ability to fly when I first joined SL and also I adored the fact that I could wear wings too, so nothing gives me more pleasure than to demonstrate this beautiful outfit by GCD which has various options. There are 2 sets, one dark & one light (i'm wearing light). The hair is a new release this week  Pink hair? yeeeeeeah!!! there are 4 shade options in the pack and it's on sale for a discount price of 99L for 1 week, there are of course many other colour options if you don't fancy being so bold. speaking of bold I have decided that I really really like the skins at sugar, if you love your make up then I urge you to take a look.

I love this hair, I mean really really love it! that's why I waited forever for my letter to come up on the lucky board. Yes I could probably have just purchased it, but that's the thing about lucky boards, the longer you wait, the more you want to so that you don't feel your time was wasted. I actually though it was the ideal opportunity to sort my shed of an inventory, kill two birds with one stone if you will and a nice cam round the store as well, is that really what lucky boards were designed to do?

 How can you not totally love these boots from Lethal Couture that come in an array of fabulous colours? they come with a hud which gives you a resize facility and the option to change the colour of the heel and zip. The shades and jacket are prizes at the easter hunt at Vero Modero which runs until the 21st and there are plenty more items to pick up too

 My favourites from the current round in XYROOM are these! in particular a flawless mid toned skin with pale lips by Av!Sage, Im really impressed with this skin I have to say and a test of which is how it suits different shapes, so I tried in on various shapes that I have lurking in m inventory and it suited them all! now that is testament to a good skin if you ask me. In this round there's plenty of poses and stuff for the fella's too which is always nice to see, in my opinion it's the best discount room that actually caters for the guys out there.

Mardi Gras

You might well look at this picture and think that I'm facing the wrong way and the light should be coming from the other direction, well you'd be wrong the picture is saying something more, possibly? there's got to be a degree of irony here or maybe I just wanted to use a dramtic pose and this one fits the bill? hehe anyway the fashion! it's a Mardi Gras theme that's going on at the Flux event this month and whether you celebrate Mardi Gras as a religious event or you just like to take part in some good old carnival spirit I'm sure you won't be disappointed with 22769's offering. The outfit comes with a prim skirt attachment if you want more of a gown look and matches perfectly with the boots that 22769 have as a gift for the womenstuff hunt.

Homage to tiny bird

It's been a while since I blogged some glorious bargains and so I thought it was high time that I picked out some great quality free/bargain goods and I must say I am thrilled with my finds.
Firstly I popped down to Savior hair, the freebie hair store as I haven't been there in ages! and squealed with delight when I saw this hair by tiny bird as I was ever so sad when that store closed.
The blouse is a freebie from Jack spoon which is certainly worth a look around as there are some super cute items at super cute prices.
Pick up the sash along with lots of other goodies in a bag at Meena. The divine almost net like skirt is a luckyboard item at Y&R and last but not least my bargain items from the next round at  XYROOM where all items are less than 100L  the bag comes with a belt  by WOot & skin by Modish is 99L what a bargain! both from XYROOM.

XYROOM is closing on 25th January to set up for the new collection in February so be quick if you want to grab some awesome items at bargain prices. I particularly like this skin by Style by Kira it has a slightly bronzy tone which compliments the red lips and dress perfectly . This glamorous ruffle dress is also at XYROOM for 75L YES 75L!

If you don't already own these shoes which are a group gift at Gabriel, then I ask why not? The hair accessory is goodness knows what from goodness knows where?! I just found it in my inventory and decided to stick on my head just because I thought I should at least give it a little life before I gave it the chop! A different me

Recently I've received some different shapes to blog, for the most part of my blogging history I've been rather attached to a shape called 'Lana' by Xanthe Audeburgh of CS shapes and as such have been very reluctant to try anything else, afterall our shape is our identity. It seems to me however, that the shape creators out there tend to get a bit of a raw deal for that very reason. A great shape can compliment and change the look of a skin dramatically so it's important to have a little experiment, most shape stores have demos and it's important to utilise that facility. Believe me there have been many times I wish I'd tried demos before I rushed to buy. Anyway this week I tried out Jemma by Bodacious bodies which a super curvy luscious lady and I Love her!

A few of my favs from the Christmas XYROOM

Waaaaah!! way way too many things to blog so little time! so I'll cut the waffle (well as much as is possible for me!) and tell you the things I think you should know about these items. Let's start with the hair which is a current subscribo gift at Exile which also has another style in a black colour.

The biker jacket from Skifija has a colour changeable hud which literally has a million colours and modifiable options and makes for most adaptable item in your inventory (unless of course you have shoes from Skifija too which mostly also offer this hud).

The top has a prim collar which I can only describe as an amazing cleopatra style bib collar - would have loved to have worn it but it didn't look right with this jacket, plus I like the halter-neck look too so in effect you have two looks in one.

These gorgeous shoes remind me of being a small girl and clomping around in my socks with Mummies shoes on (much to her horror)  I love them!! and the socks have 18 changeable colour options. last but not least is the shape which is also an XYroom special and comes complete with a bikini and physics i.e bouncy boobies!

A quick tea break

OH! do I love this pose and being British nothing suits better than a nice cuppa tea!. Ok i'm a traitor and only drink peppermint tea, but we can still solve anything over a nice cuppa.
