Fantasy Faire 2012 – A Splinter Of Amethyst

„Ugh!” – Splinter felt disgusted and itchy at the same time. A dress to wear… with wings! What an annoying situation! She was a Blue Steel Spook, after all. The traditional job of her kind was to stalk around in the pits and scare the hell out of those fools who wanted to find something valuable in the ancient mines. Those silly Gemstone Ghosts, on the other hand... Bleah, what a gang of softies! They flap around and whisper instructions to the scroungers, so they can find a rough diamond as big as a pigeon’s egg. A bunch of namby-pambies... who have captured her and forced her into becoming an Amethyst Ghost in order to redeem herself.

Someone knocked on the door of her cell and she heard a chirpy voice. “Hurry up, please! An adventurer has just arrived, he is dreaming of a really big piece of amethyst, so it’s your turn to guide him! No kicking and no pushing, and you’re not allowed to call him a ‘blind idiot’, either! Whispers and fluttering wings only, you hear me?” Splinter didn’t even deign her of an answer. “No kicking, huh?” – she thought. “Then just watch him fall over his own leg... on a huge piece of amethyst, all right, but he will crash and ouch. Big time ouch.” Splinter left to perform her duty, with fluttering wings... and a broad wicked grin on her blue steel lips.

Spyralle products by Kerryth Tarantal are based on a simple yet truly brilliant idea, one of those that make you smack your forehead and shout, “Why haven’t I ever thought of that?” Kerryth has imported fractals in SL, and she’s made a great job of it. It’s a pity Benoit Mandelbrot, the father of fractal geometry, has passed away in 2010... I’m quite certain he would have enjoyed these Spyralle creations quite much.

The fabulous “Rhapsody” gown is a RFL donation item at the Fantasy Faire that comes with a pair of small matching wings, yet I’ve decided to pair it with another donation item, the amazing “Rhapsody” fractal flappies... and if you really want to move in for the kill, wear the matching “Rhapsody” mask as well :).

I’ve shown you the “Beatrice” skin in soft pale Gold by De La Soul here, now it’s time for another tone, the greyish-blue Chrys. The tattoo pattern around the eyes is the same, yet the steely hue gives the skin a very different aura... brrrr, you feel a bit cold when you look at it.

This post, and also the first picture, has been inspired by quite a variety of items, the most powerful most likely being ~Tableau Vivant~'s latest release, the Adam skin, with its more-than-awesome non-eyebrow option. I have to confess that I was rather skeptical in the beginning, but after I considered how easy it is to create extraordinary looks with little effort, I was convinced. In this case, Nuuna's awesome eyebrow collection was a great help, and an inexpensive one, too! With a mere 200 L$ for 22 different brows on tattoo layer they're really a must have for everyone that likes to toy around with the subject.

Since it's my last thread of this year, it fits nicely that it's gonna be about Last Threads, too - in this case, I'm talking about A:S:S's contribution for this weekend's LVE. Available in 7 colours, the artistically shredded and torn shirt goes well with both glamorous and grungy styles and is unisex, too! The special price for La Venta Eventa is just 40 L$ for a single shirt, but the Last Thread's gonna be available in store after the event, too. The awesome claws I'm wearing are one of the newer releases from the superawesomedroolalicious jewelry store : Amorous : and have lots of functions (apart from looking gorgeous): you can hide and show the claws or choose between a plain claw option or another version that has additional, small claw-rings on thumb and ring finger.

Arctic and Antarctica

The most animals had managed to flee when they heard the singing, it was high-pitched and very painful in the ears. The ones which were not able to hear high tones started to run when hearing the trees explode. They did not see Arctic and Antarctica flying through the forest and spreading cold. The twins were the last ice fairies. Both insane, mean and driven by the lust for destruction and ice. The land they crossed was quickly covered in crystals.

For centuries they had been kept by dwarfs in a mountain. In the first centuries the dwarfs took care that there were always some magicians controlling them. Arctic and Antarctica waited. They knew that they would not be killed, there were too many wars between the dwarf clans than they would have been willing to destruct a possible weapon. Connected on a telepathical way the twins decided to hibernate. Ice grew around their bodies so that it looked like they would be caught in crystals. Sometimes the dwarfs tried to wake them but always failed. The ice around the twins grew through the centuries and the dwarfs started to forget what they were keeping in the deepest level of the mountain the lived in. In opposite to that the twins were always aware that they were in a prison and they wanted revenge. It did not matter to them that the beings which had caught them had died ages ago. They only wanted to see and to taste frozen blood. When the dwarfs started to use the fairy caused ice to make icecream Arctic and Antarctica knew that their time was close. Slowly they let their dementia float into the ice and infected the dwarfs through the icecream. After a short time they had many little helpers who had nothing else in mind then getting to the core of the ice. Arctic always had enjoyed icecream but he had to admit that it tasted so much better mixed with dwarfblood. Although he did not really like the colour the ice got then. So they made their way out of the mountain leaving more ice and frosted dwarfs behind them. There was so much more to taste and to kill.

The ice crystal skins and the fitting outfits are the latest release from Fallen Gods Inc. . They are a ice version of the crystal skins which had been released at the fantasy faire in spring, and are also available in the same versions as those skins. That means they are available in four versions of the body. Those are Pure, Opal, Fae and OpalFae. The pure ones are without patterns on the skin. The opal ones look like there would be tiny crystals on the skin so that it shimmers. In the fae versions there are wingstructures on the skin and the opalfae is a mix of the shimmer and the wings. Each of those skintones is available in four makeups. The skins are of course available for both genders. The female ones come always with a super boobs version. The version of the grom face tattoo Storm is wearing on the pictures is currently a groupgift in the Fallen Gods Inc. group. The fitting outfits are stunning. It looks like ice would be running over the skin. They come with wings and several prim parts which repeat the ice theme. The drapes create an ethereal look. The Icecrystal outfits work of course also with other skins. The system layer parts come on the shirt/trousers and the underwear layers. The primparts contain resize scripts.

Recently, I've been stalking VIGo's and KnickKnack's Lucky Chairs and the MiniMania again, hoping I'd be lucky and win one of the gorgeous fantasy/roleplay-outfits that both creators put so generously out to be won. It's always full priced items you can also buy in their shops, and since the texturing and the prim- and sculpt-work has convinced me long ago, I was rather excited when the 'S' finally showed up and blessed me with this beautiful ensemble. VIGo's Taliesin robe has an extraordinary collar solution and comes with sculpted sleeves and pants legs - the texture itself reminds of an expensive velvet, with a precious-looking edging of silver and black on the sleeves and chest piece.

Adrenaline was seeping from his body just like the first hint of anticipating sweat, bemusing his surroundings with the thick, musky perfume of his tension while his heartbeat increased to a level not even their drummer in one of his brilliant solos could reach. He could feel them, those subtle, yet electrifying vibrations of desire from the crowd, radiating through steel and concrete, letting his baby hair raise stand on end. They wanted him. They needed him. And they were loving him, too - eager to get a shot of the drug that was his mesmerizing voice. He paused in his track and looked up towards the ceiling, his words speaking of admiration and wonder. "Can you hear them shouting?" Catching the guitarist's grin from the corner of his eyes, he shivered as the hoarse voice reached his ears. "They're shoutin' for you, man - just for you..."



Lately, I never manage to resist whatever gorgeous hairstyle lamb! puts out at Collabor88, and so I found myself leaving with two of the color-packs once again. As you can see, the style called 'Phenomena' is definitely unisex - it comes with matching hairbases, but I'm using another since I didn't want to go for the totally shaven look in these pictures. The pants have been a lucky find for me, too: I really love wearing knee-high (combat) boots, but the usual pants either make your legs look like a stork, or they're hiding most of the shoe with their cuffs. These cargo pants from RONSEM, however, have two different styles of cuffs, one to show your shiny boots off and other, regular one, for those days when you haven't polished them nicely. Said footwear are the rather classic looking combat boots from Abyss which I'm still loving hard because of their stunning textures.

The exhibition I was visiting faded from the spotlight as soon as my eyes came to rest on the slender being that was slouching in such a confident, almost luring fashion on one of the offered seats, illuminated from a soft light from above, like it was a piece of art itself. I found myself stopping in my track, my eyes drawn with wonder and delight to the one that was looking back at me with a nearly mocking gaze from dark-rimmed hues, and the challengingly risen chin made me wonder if my thoughts had been read... yet, I approached, unable not to stare, to not worship this diversity of beauty - male, female? I did not know, but honestly, I couldn't have cared less when I leaned in and felt my tie being grabbed, and a throaty-soft voice uttered into my ear: "You can't have me... I'm not one of your many boys." As I blushed in a deep shade of crimson, caught in the act as I was, I saw a teasing shimmer simmering in those expressive eyes of light and darkness, knowing that our game had just begun - and that it wasn't me making the rules.


By know I've realized that I'm not only having a slight addiction to mesh itself, but specifically when it comes to mesh-made footwear. Not many things have ever bugged me as much as the weird positioning of prims when trying to sit down in overknee-boots, and I'm really glad that the times of my misery are over now - even more when the solution to this problem is as gorgeous as Miamai's recently released Hiatus boots. They come in 14 colours, and each shade is available in 4 different materials: gloss, which I am wearing, leather, laced and matte - that makes it a total of 56 pairs to pick from! Needless to say that I'm in boots heaven, right? The pants and corset I'm wearing are from A:S:S and have been a part of a special edition that isn't available anymore, but you can still find similar corsets in a variety of shades and patterns in store. The lovely blouse with the oversized bow is from *COCO*, where the clearance sale is still running.

I missed you dear blog

Arghhh I've been having internet issues for the best part of a week and although things have improved, they are still unresolved, but at least i'm back up & running in the world of blogging! oh and how I missed it. Well canIi apologise straight away if the quality of the pics isn't as good as it could be, but I was so keen to get a post published that I haven't devoted time to editing the pics...hope that doesn't defeat the object to much.

 In my first post for a week I wanted to give you a daytime  & night time look. I'm gonna be living in these dungarees! I absolutely LOVE everything from sheepdoor ! it's all unisex & so the dungarees are a great idea for change your gender challenge especially since they are a free group gift!

On a Vintage theme

After the vintage swimsuit from 22769 that I blogged, I decided to keep on with the vintage theme and so this new dress from Vero Modero fits is perfect. Lace is so classic and the detailing of it is great!It comes with a couple of options  with the skirt & also has has a belt so that you can change the look of it slightly to your preference. When I tried on the dress I had no hesitation as to what I would wear on my feet, My lace ankle boots from Skifija look like they were made for this dress! and what better place to visit on my vintage theme than Paris 1900 I adore that sim, if you haven't been please do, I love the detailing . I have visited it hundreds of times now and always see something new each time I go.

OMG I love this outfit! detailing of the top is great and the colours I love too, there is a green one too which is an unusual shade..HAIR! 30L and is one of my favourites to date! oh but the shoes oh how I love shoes, and if you love them as much as I do then J's has got to be one of your top priorities, they are simply amazing. This pair is divine they just look so great n your feet , particularly with the little prim toes, a serious amount of detailing has gone into these, and I love the fact that I can remove the prims that go round the leg for another different style shoe. Oh better just mention too , that these gorgeous shorts come with a prim  red cuff, but i chose not to wear then on this occasion.

This hair I've been stalking for days on the luckyboard at kmh, and so I've roped in so many people to help me that just about everyone in SL must now have It  (thank you lovelies xx) but I knew I wanted It to go with this dress. I can't help but adore this dress look at the detail!! oh and the colour! oh which brings me onto the shoes! again. Now I know I've blogged these shoes so many times but I can't stress enough that they're going to be one of the best things you'll ever buy in SL, seriously they go with everything, with the colour change script with 112 options you're never going to be stuck with an outfit with no shoes to match, plus group members get a 50% discount every Friday so in effect you're getting 112 pairs of shoes for 75L ....crazy!
