This post, and also the first picture, has been inspired by quite a variety of items, the most powerful most likely being ~Tableau Vivant~'s latest release, the Adam skin, with its more-than-awesome non-eyebrow option. I have to confess that I was rather skeptical in the beginning, but after I considered how easy it is to create extraordinary looks with little effort, I was convinced. In this case, Nuuna's awesome eyebrow collection was a great help, and an inexpensive one, too! With a mere 200 L$ for 22 different brows on tattoo layer they're really a must have for everyone that likes to toy around with the subject.

Since it's my last thread of this year, it fits nicely that it's gonna be about Last Threads, too - in this case, I'm talking about A:S:S's contribution for this weekend's LVE. Available in 7 colours, the artistically shredded and torn shirt goes well with both glamorous and grungy styles and is unisex, too! The special price for La Venta Eventa is just 40 L$ for a single shirt, but the Last Thread's gonna be available in store after the event, too. The awesome claws I'm wearing are one of the newer releases from the superawesomedroolalicious jewelry store : Amorous : and have lots of functions (apart from looking gorgeous): you can hide and show the claws or choose between a plain claw option or another version that has additional, small claw-rings on thumb and ring finger.

Blood and Machine Oil

The statue cried again. Esra was more than satisfied with her work. Some priests had asked her to help them with a statue which had been crying blood for several month and then suddenly stopped. They had tested the machine they had installed in the statue to cause the crying but what ever they did nothing helped. It was like the statue was not willing to participate any longer in a rip-off. So the priests called Esra who was specialized on making machines work again. She was one of the best vampire magicians and machines were her special intrest. Esra loved to figure out how machines worked and she liked drinking machine oil way better than drinking blood. But crying statues in churches were easy. Esra spend some hours on telling the statue some horrible and sad stories and it started to cry again.
For taking some pictures for the 22769 Sanguine Noir Adventure I put together an avatar which hopefully looks like a crazy vampirish tinkerer. Ezura has great dark dresses so I choosed the black Lolita Crown dress as base. It comes with several skirts and includes the option to wear it as lingerie. Ezura also sells fitting shoes. The systempart of the gloves belongs also to the dress from Ezura but the glovetops with the bow belong to the black kidskin gloves from Indyra Originals. The hair comes from Exile. It was a bit tricky to adjust it as it is very wild and does not include resizescripts (it also did not work to put resizescripts into it). But with some help from friends it finally worked. The monocle comes from Super Possessed. The set includes a version for the left and the right eye. It has many details and is a great accessory. The hat was a huntgift in the first steampunk hunt.

STEAM - the Hunt preview I

She was content, very content. It had cost her feet but this was a price she was more than willing to pay. Finally she had managed to let her house fly. And who would miss having feet if having a flying house? Instead of whimpering after the big explosion (she had tested some really intresting things) she spend the time she needed to heal on building a pair of boots which allowed her to walk as well as before. The technology she developed because of that helped her a lot to solve the problems with the house. Steam was the solution she never had supposed that.

The fourth round of STEAM - the Hunt is going to start at the 1st March. This time more than 180 Stores are going to take part. I d like to show some previews of the gifts. The upper picture has been taken in the gift from Morigi Steam . As seeable it is a skybox. The windows could be closed and opened as well as the curtain. The textures are elegant in my opinion. I like the silver leaves a lot.

D & M Dream Furniture also have a skybox as huntgift. As the Skybox from Morigi Steam many metal textures have been used. It is even possible to clean the windows. The bucket on the little table has such an animation inbuilt and the towel on the bucket gives when being touched a piece of cloth which could be attached at the hand. The skybox is 25 x 38 metres and partly furnitshed allready. There are some pictures and even a fire place.

The items from Alkahest are perfect to furnitsh the found skyboxes. That store has a wonderful lamp with gears, some picture frames made of gears and even a flower with a gear as hunt gift. The lamp is very lovely in my opinion. Not only the bulb on the top shines also the two gears at the side light the room.

Zoe's Garden made of course something for the garden. A fountain made of a big gear. The water makes sounds which is calming. The textures are in shades of dark red and brown just steampunkish.

When looking at the item from Arkigrafx i was more than confused. It is a very beautiful building but not very big. It looks very beautiful but i found no machine or something like that in the inside. So when reading the notecard to the item i had a good laugh when recognizing that i had been confused by a public toilet. The item is named Steampunk Vespasiano. It is an public toilet which really are named after Vespasian.

Of course the Hydraulic Boot are an hunt gift as well. I like the idea a lot. For my avatar i had to make them much smaller which was not very tricky. They could be worn with or without alpha layers. I liked them better without but maybe not everybody has no problem with having an avatar who has Hydraulic boots instead of feet. For those it works fine to wear the boots without the alphalayer. The legs are seeable between the rods. The kimono isn't a hunt gift. It comes from 22769. The monocle has been a hunt gift some time ago from Super possessed.

[the creepy kids of innsmouth]

No one remembers when it all started, when the sun's light slowly began to fade and made room for a neverending night whose twinkling stars shimmered like fat, white maggots on a black shroud the city had been woven into. Some people wondered and asked question... and they started to disappear; first the curious ones, then the grown-ups, one after another, whilst their houses began to rot and their civilisation was in decline, while creatures with tentacles and foaming mouths rose from the swamp and otherworldly chants could be heard from the partially burned church. The only things that never changed were the sparkling stars above, the intense smell of salt water wavering through the forsaken streets and the city's kids piercing stares from within the shadows, lurking and patient, magic sigils on their skin and a ghostly light flaring in their empty eyes...


It's the 16th week of Luna's blogger challenge - that makes four whole months! - and the shade this week is teal. While searching for a fitting inworld photo site, I once again ended up in one of my favourite sims, Innsmouth. This place keeps fascinating me with its Lovecraft-inspired, spooky atmosphere and provides a great background for roleplay or gloomy pictures - play around with windlight and water settings some - and don't forget to switch on sounds!

The art of Graverobbing

Omen Zero here, In this day and age the art of grave-robbing is highly frowned upon, however do not let this dissuade you, rifling through the bodies of the nearly departed is a very profitable business. You might be confused, so let me clarify, I speak of the Dead Mans Hand Hunt by Madpeas. I am not someone who usually goes on hunts, let alone hunts that cost me cash, but I can tell you something about this event, It was worth every last linden! It only costs 100 Linden to get involved, and grab the hud, which is honestly almost nothing. Not to mention the amazing loot you grab along the way.

Now let me be clear about something here, this post is in no way endorsed by the folks from DMHH in any way, shape or form. I simply enjoyed the hunt to such an incredible degree that I felt it should be shared with others. It start off simply, and a little bit of effort is required before the body-rifling can begin. You are transported to a property out in the woods somewhere, it is the house and land of a serial killer. Your job is to go around the house and hunt for clues as to the bodies of the 52 victims. Each object in the house is a potential clue so hunt well! There are a few very tricky clues so let me give you a few hints.

• 8 Of spades is truly a despicable foe, I recommend putting on your comfiest pair of slippers
• The Spare house holds a secret upstairs, look closely to the walls.
• Wear any keys you might find to access new areas
• Even hand-prints on walls, footsteps under windows and blood-smears can be clues. Don't forget this.

Now once you've found all fifty two clues, you can get to the real loot of it all. And trust me, every piece of loot is worthy of your attention. Included in these prizes are skins from Fallen Gods(Don't forget to pick up the rose skin as well while you are there from a different hunt), a fairly fantastic set of macabre bits and pieces including a gouged eye hook. A few exciting outfits including a wasteland pirate outfit and much much more. There is also a tonne of furniture and even a few really interesting set pieces. There is even a fully animated sex bed death room for those so inclined! My personal favorite trio was the full dungeon sky-box, the forge building and the witches fire.(The last two pictured above) Not to mention the underdog of the hunt, the Zombie statue(I call him George)

Now the best part of all is that when you have completed this interesting trip around the stores(Collecting items from the tainted heart and when the roses turn hunts along the way), you are able to access a final dungeon with a bonus item from each store you have visited! This is where some of the real treats are, including another fallen gods skin! The photos here are a minor random sampling, as the real fun is always in the unboxing of the items themselves. Each object worn(including the skins and tattoos) are prizes from the event, so feel free to go have a bit of fun, and make a killer turn over in his grave.


As you can see there is a great assortment of items and gifts along the way, from scarves, to hats, to furniture, gags and much much more. I of course am only showing the mens clothing but do not let this fool you, there is plenty of prizes for the women too!

Spying on ghosts

I like monocles a lot. Some are playful, some are elegant and some are just built for purpose. But this one from the current madpea hunt is different. It looks more like being made to see things you can`t see with your own eyes. Maybe to watch ghosts dancing or elves hiding in the long floors of an old castle to spook trespasser with innocent plans. So such a Monocle needs fitting accessories. For example a pretty dress which fits well to it. In my opinion this gown from KWZ looks great with the Monocle.

Fight the evil

When the aliens landed she was quite irritated because all her comrades prefered to hide. But she wasn`t surprised, so she just grabbed her sword and her shield and ran out of the barraks. While running she rammed an amphetamine infusion into her arm. When seeing the ships, she increased her speed, knowing that those extraterrestrial bastards look best cut into pieces.
A friend was so nice to tell me about this hunt item from Super Possessed and im very thankful for that. The outfit is just great. It comes with an inbuilt double sword and also with a shield.
The headpiece contains a little eyepatch so its possible to get some extra informations about the target for example infrared pictures. The sword and the shild are opened with a gesture and work with the typical w a s d keys. On the pictures is only the female version of the outfit shown but of course as Super Possessed is a store for weapons and men's outfits the huntgift also contains the armor for guys.

Controlling panzers at the front. A good outfit is the midnight mania prize at 22769. It fits perfect. The only trick is to walk in high heels through the dirt.
