Forest awakening

Deep in her heart was the forest. In the heart of the forest she dwelt. Pines and sentinals formed a near impenetrable barrier around the border; stray trees grew here and there, camouflage in the wilderness. Through the labyrinth of  thickets and thorns, near the centre of the forest, the trees grew less dense. Needles gave way to broad leaves, boughs and branches spread under sun and moon. The clearing ringed a tarn, neither deep nor broad enough to be called a lake, but it brought life to the whole wood, and to her. Each season she woke, covered in fallen leaves or encased in ice. The creatures of the forest scuttled over her skin rousing her from slumber. Water dripped from her hair as her bare feet curled into the leaf litter and loam. Sun and moon beams dappled her skin as she moved slowly around the clearing, her touch caressing bark and fur as she came back to life. Flames flickered, kindling into being on her horns, lighting up the night. Fully awakened, fully alive the forest around her bloomed or withered as was its season. In the clearing she held her court. The throne's eyes were open, the time for judgement was at hand. All the business of the forest must be conducted before the moon waned, and her candles guttered. So little time each season to take in all the beauty her energy created. The woods were so beautiful. She would take the time to enjoy them.

They were of the mists...

They would be everywhere, part of everyone and everything. Steam rising, dew forming, tides rolling, and rivers flowing. Under the moon, the sea fret formed. As did they. They emerged from vapour just as they had entered it, coming together in a never ending embrace. Moon and starlight gave them substance, to last only as long as the night. They were poured into a well of feeling, had only to take care not to drown. In these brief hours they could step from the water onto even the driest of lands, puddles forming in their wake, evaporating just as they, with the dawn.

World Goth Fair 2014 - Dark Wings

She landed in an unknown realm, wet and dark... which she found pleasant and unpleasant at the same time. She adored darkness, it was her natural element... but all that rain? She shivered as she felt her black feathers were already glued together. How should she fly now, and stalk her prey? Yet, she knew she had no other choice whatsoever. The Dark Lord was her commander and she was to obey his orders, no matter what. She shivered for a second longer, then she clicked her talons and spread her heavy black wings. The hunt for the lost soul was on.

Heaven and Hell

The borders of heaven and hell were a strange place. These two worlds touched all the time, but only fleetingly. The briefest kiss. Darkness and light, neither could exist without the other, but they could never be in the same place either, and that made things difficult for those trapped in each realm.

Eiael was from the realm above and the shadow of her heart, Eurynome, from the realm below. Dark eyes had met light aeons ago in the early times of wars between those in the light, and those who had tumbled into darkness. Neither had stepped foot in the world of the other, they would meet during battles on the plane of forgetting, crossing rivers without name on mounts of shadow and dazzling light. Wings would carry them above the melee, above the masses of those at war, above the pooling blood of each side, mixing and melding in the dust from which man was created.

Such battles were now rare, the dust lay still. Each side knew the strengths and weaknesses of the other, and saw no point in wasted effort. Away from the cries and ululations of war, in the peace, they could only hope to meet at these rare crossings. Fingertips touching across the border, across the void. A distance both infinitesimal and wide beyond measure, where only true love could reach.

 Soon enough, the realms would drift apart, Eurynome and Eiael would go back to their own. The earth and all those on it would be between them again. Time would pass, and they would wait.

For each there was only the other. They would wait, and they would watch. One looking up, the other down, until the shifting of the worlds brought them back together again.

These outfits from Lazybones were another find for me at the Depraved Nation Block 100 event.

So different from the other 'street clothes' I'd bought there, these were worth a post all of their own. Lazybones Anna's Secret (White) and Lazybones Nina's Secret (Black) are fantastic Angelic / Demonic whichever takes your fancy outfits, a step outside the norm with spikes in silver or gold - both black and white options have both metal choices. Divine Blues

She used to be a member of the Sapphire Tribe, she remembered that very well. Many, many aeons before her world had been vivid, happy and busy… she could hear the voices of men and women and children every evening she climbed up on top of the Tower, in order to taste a bit of everyday life before she had to commence night service, as usual. She had been taken from her family in order to serve the Goddess at the tender age of a hundred and fifty years… oh yes, she still remembered the excruciating pain. Her mother and siblings had been inconsolable… or so she thought, as she hadn’t talked to them any more. Rubbing shoulders with „ordinary” folk wasn’t permitted to the Selected One. 

She was carefully educated by the Elders, and after five hundred years of apprenticeship she was allowed to raise the Moon all alone for the first time. She still got goosebumps at the memory of that very special night. Then… something went wrong. Slowly, yet without any doubt whatsoever. At first, she noticed that the evening buzz and humming and chattering of the city became weaker day by day. People just disappeared from the streets, the murmuring sounds seemed to grow dimmer, and dimmer yet. Then, one evening… all she could hear from the Tower was silence. 

She was shocked… but she remembered she had taken a solemn oath to serve the Goddess and raise the Moon each and every night, until Death decided to come for her. She was alone, her only company were the memories and the ghosts of the past, yet she climbed up on top of the Tower, and silently whispered an ancient prayer before she touched the chilly globe. „Raise, Moon, and spread your rays... I shall always be here to welcome you when your duty is done.”

Ever wondered where all those metal heads in SL are hiding? They already seem to be a rather rare species in RL, at least where I'm living - and if we're talking about those people whose outfit tells you what music they might like. It doesn't seem to be much different in Second Life, so I was having some trouble to dress accordingly to my (musical) mood when I recently re-discovered my love for Black Metal. Thankfully, there is certainly no lack of awesome leather pants and net shirts in our little world, so the basics were there, and I remembered the Cake hair I'd bought ages ago and which matched the look perfectly, but... the rest?

While looking through old screenshots, my eyes caught a pair of spiked armbands I was wearing on one, and after some research, I also remembered the store's name: [SP] - Spider Productions, established in 2005. This shop does not only sell spikes, studs, and everything that looks awesome when you're going for a darker look, but also stunning hybrid avatars (such as dragons), armor, jewellery and accessories, weapons and much more! And they also have a bunch of Lucky Boards out, in case you want to check on their quality first. The boots I'm wearing in this post, for example, are one of the Lucky Board prices and greatly textured, plus: easy to resize. A:S:S's latest release, the more-than-awesome Count-corpse paints (you can choose from a variety of 10, or simply grab the fatpack) added the final touch to my outfit.

Unseelie

She was waiting. From time to time she curled her toes like she would test if she would manage to dig her toenails into the white floor. She never managed to do so but she did not care her attention was focused on something else. If her plans were working the humans would be quite busy with killing each other at the moment. It made her grin. She did not really need more land but humans were so easy to manipulate.

The twisted hunt fills me with anger as no other hunt does. The huntgifts are hidden really mean. I normaly enjoy hunting I go to the stores search for the hunt gift and look a bit around. This hunt does not give any time for that. All the time is needed to find the gift which is really annoying for me. Others love this hunt as it is tricky but what can be said is that the huntgifts are good. As for example those wings from Soul Distraction. They have many beautiful details and the texturing is awesome. The wings come in a version for male which is the one on the picture and a more colourful one for females. They have a resize script. The pose used for this picture is one of the huntgifts from Del May. They created poses which fit to the 7 sins. The one on the picture is the pride one. Del May also have some extre gifts in their store.

Sometimes when the mechanical angels fall they got caught by demons who throw them back to heaven.

Gown alarm

Vampires are often rather old so they are smart enough to wear a red gown at their wedding. So the food isn`t visible if it drops onto the dress. The gown is big, red and comes with a resize script. The textures are very well made.

Oh, no a Cat burglar has entered an appartment and is now stealing all the pretty and expensive things.
