+ eX + e z u r a X u e at the Fantasy Faire

"Ahhh..." sighed Caliope with an air of satisfaction as she stepped out onto the rotting log, dank moss springing her step. Turning her face to the sky, eyes smudged with soot and ashes from the fires of divination she had tended throughout the day, she gazed at the heavens. "Stars be bright tonight.." she mused to no one in particular. "That's good..." Her soft drawl turned the heads of the toads sitting on the swamps ragged lily pads. Ripples spread across the dark water as the eyes and snouts of alligators rose up, moving languidly toward her. Everything in the swamp was as anyone would expect, covered in lichen and dirt, all natural, all living and dying in turn so other things could live. Everything was coated in slime, cobwebs or dirt, all except the chest in her den, the chest where she kept her few lasting treasures, including the silks she wore tonight.

These garments were special, as natural as the rest of her world, woven intricately with both the silk of swamp spiders, and golden thread she had made from small discs of the eternally shiny metal she had found in the deepest pools in the midst of the mangroves. She wore these on the nights of the ritual. Her footsteps along the crumbling bough over the water were sure, even though her gaze never wavered from the sky, her eyes seeking out the moon. Clouds scudded across its face, the longer she looked, the clearer it became, gilding the swamp and all of its creatures with moonlight. The pulse of the fireflies intensified, snakes writhed over the muddy ground as the miasma swirled around her feet and legs, dampening the silk, giving it weight and presence as a soft dew formed over the gold, making the runes shimmer and seem to move. Murmuring the incantation they depicted, she began to fade from view, becoming part of everything. Sinking into the mists she would be everywhere, able to see all, and feel all, protecting this sanctuary for another season. 

 

This is the Arcane Mage outfit, one of the Relay for Life donation items at + eX + e z u r a X u e. It helpfully comes with a guide to resizing the prims - which is very good for anyone who hasn't done a lot of modifying. The collar and skirt prims sit very nicely. The runes throughout the outfit tie all the pieces together, and this would really work for any mage or soothsayer RP, as an outfit for rituals - or just because you like it!

Tree adventures

Once upon a time there lived a young treeman. He belonged to the race of the arboreals. But he always had the feeling that he did not really belong to the other trees. So one day he decided to wander away to find other rebels like him.But on his journey he did not meet any other arboreal. So when he saw a very old sleeping one of his race he decided to exchange news with the elder. He hugged the other tree to whisper secrets to it but when doing so he his a drow priestress which was leaning against the elder thinking that it was a normal tree. She was furious. He couldn t even find the time to apology before she used her staff on him and turned him again into a sapling.
Afraid he quickly ran away. First he wasn t able to think at all. He was shocked and also afraid that the drow might follow him. So he ran as fast as possible. After a while he thought that he would grow up again anyways. Some hours after that thought he realized that this would take about 500 years again. That was some hours before he became very sad and started to hope that he might find some help.
He wandered and wandered. He climbed onto mountains and walked through rivers. He saw big and ancient beings sleeping. And decided not to wake them.
One day he found a hut and knocked at the door. A strange looking guy came out saying lots of words like "hiya" and "howdy". The tree told his story to the man, hopeing that the guy would be a magician or a witcher.
And he had luck. The man was into alchemy and even had some ideas about how to help the arboreal. So they tested a lot of potions.
And one of them worked. But not in the way the tree hoped. He quickly grew but somehow his form wasn't like before. He had turned into a she. The alchemist came closer curious examing her knotholes. So she thanked him very much for his help and also promised him to visit him again. She also told him that she had to handle some tasks and walked away as quick as possible.
When being sure not to be watched by the man anymore the tree digged his legs into the ground. There she stood for a day. In the morning her wood started to split and she was male again. But he wasn't alone anymore. The arboreal had used its cell division skills to change its gender and to get a sapling. Together they disappeared into the woods.

Fallen Gods takes part in the kawaii hunt. And their hunt gift is just amazing. Its a little sapling avatar. But thats not the only treeavatar which is available as gift in that store at the moment. With spending some time at the lucky fortune reader it is possible to win a adult arboreal avatar. Its very nice to spend time at that fortune teller. Its like a meeting of the fantasy lovers of second life. Nearly like the fantasy faire in small. The avatars are of course amazing. The textures are great and i love the little details. For example the flowers on the male tree are different to the ones on the female tree. The sets include covers for pg sims. So its also possible to be a tree with bits or to roleplay on sims where it is asked to be decently clothed. The fortune teller visits Fallen Gods Inc. till 30th September.

Freebie mix

Writing stories for blogging items takes much time. So i decided to be rather lazy and show just some freebies. Some might have been allready shown on bunches of other sides but i decided to ignore that simply.

Ducks are animals i somehow dislike. I like feeding them but then i try to throw the food as wide as i could so they have to swim a long distance. Or i try to feed only the outsider duck and chase the cool ones away. Philippe Shilova who built the nice hawk i blogged last week has now a duck with pond in his midnight mania. Both are low prim objects. The duck is rather wild and swims everywhere around. But in the pond its quite nice and behaves well.

To be honest i have no clue how this jumper got into my inventory but it says groupgift from Trashy Girls In Style. So i went to the store and had a look at the subscriber and saw that it is still there in the history. It comes with a sheer and a non sheer top. The sheer top looks like wearing a bra under the top so all bits are covered. The hairdress is a freebie from A.M.K.R.

The red hair was a wonderful subscriber gift from clawtooth. The silverhair says that it is white hair but actually it is grey. I was rather glad when winning the left outfit. It is from NV and the midnight mania board didn`t lock for days. Thats a problem which doesen`t exist for the right top. Its from OoEas and those midnight mania boards normaly get locked.

I nearly missed the Vitamen gift this month. Now im glad that i didn`t. The boxers are rather nice i like the colour and the fish are very friendly. The tattoo was a gift on a very cool lucky chair. Its a dancefloor and when your letter comes up you could jump on it and dance for some time. The dance is rather silly so its very funny.
