Squid of Greed

In the morning when she woke she thought that all had been a dream. Padme had not managed to get into the bed and slept on the floor in her house. When she first moved there she often had strange dreams because of the octopus on the wall. For some time she had thought about painting over it. She even had tested how much colour it would need to cover it. But it didn't work. It wasn't possible to cover the picture. After a while she managed to deal with the dreams and it seemed like her life changed.
Festival of Sin I
The evening in the casino was just typical. She did not know why she went there and why they let her in. Boots and a short dress with a big tattoo really did not fit to the dress code of a casino at least not of the elegant one she went to, but maybe they tought that she would be one of those rich girls who tried to look like they would live on the street. Padme wasn't rich at all but after the night in the casino she was. Her luck was insane. They had to give her a bag so that she would be able to carry home all the money she won. It felt so good she wanted more and more and more. The painted demon on the wall on her house was fine with this and most willing to help.
Festival of Sin II
The festival of sin has started at the weekend and the items there are great. It is intresting to see how sins can inspire creators. Vanitas Vesture made short dresses with a bustle for the back. As all her dresses the textures look great and she manages to create elegance with a simple cut. The dress is available in many colours and the skirt is partly made of mesh, which even fits a small avatars. The makeup and the neckdress belong to a set Miamai sells at the festival of sin. The tattoo comes from Essential Soul. It is unisex and the set contains it in three versions - fresh, faded and faint. Lap has always been a posestore I liked and their greed inspired pile of money poses are fun for pictures. They contain a 5prim poseprop to rezz and money to wear and some piles of money as decoration. The skin from Aura is awesome in my opinion. It is available in five skintones. From light to dark those are Milk, Cream, Honey, Caramel and Expresso. The one on the pictures is the skin in milk. It is available in three makeups. The used one is called used and does not look like there would be much makeup used just maybe a bit of lipgloss and some great eyeliner. The other two have a bit more makeup. There are demos available so its definitly worth to test this skin. Red boots are great to show off and the ones from gos mix the cuteness of laces and bows with battle boots. Which makes them perfect for every roleplayer princess. They are made of mesh and included in five sizes and a non rigged version in the set. With the included hud its possible to change the colour of the inlet of the boots between a flowerish one and black. The boots can be worn up or pulled down. When worn in the pulled down version there is a shadow of the top on the feet. The alphalayer which came with them was too big for my avatar. But the alphas from Duh, do the job well else its always possible to make own alphas. The poses on the lower picture come all from adorkable poses. They belong to the touch me and the legs set which are both also sold on the festival of sin. Pestle and Twig made the skybox which has been used at the first pictures. It has 63 prims and looks quite cool. It even has a door with a little entrance in front of it. The squid on the wall and the pool in the middle fit well together and which isn t visible on the pictures the texture on the ceiling is animated and looks like the water would be reflected. A very nice idea. It has a 21 x 21 footprint so it fits also on small parcels. Festival of Sin III

Dragoneggs on the hat

Looking into the world with eyes wide open and a bleeding nose. Sometimes white flowers are just a bit to white to be bearable.
dragonegg hat
Xelyn Xaris the owner of XX Millinery made the hat with the dragoneggs on it. They are not very big dragoneggs but the dragons might become big after hatching or the eggs themself will grow more. The like a prayer choker and wristlets come both from Virtual/Insanity. The choker looks like there would be some thin leather bands wrapped around it which also hold the cross. The wristlets consits out of two parts one which looks like being made of black leather and the part for the hand which is looking like being made out of metal. I adore the asia nails from the same store. They even come with a tintable glove layer to make the nails on the skin disappear. The black dress is being sold at Vanitas Vesture. Its one of those elegant and simple dresses which always fit. The shadeing is lovely and it comes on all layers. The nosebleeding skin is available at den-dou in the gacha.

Blue in front of blue

Wandering around having blue thoughts and ruining good highheels. At least the dress is cute and fits perfectly to the water. And its definitly worth to ruin great shoes for a good walk.
Blue infront of Blue
Vanitas Vesture is a store which makes classical outfits for women. The items are well made with love and nice textures. And Vanitas Vesture takes part at fashion for life. There they present their latest mini-collection "Madison Ave".

The upper dress is called "Languid Party Dress" i have to admit i had to look up the word languid but i do not really understand the name maybe it is because the textures look a bit matt. The dress is lovely. It comes on all layers and the skirt floats nicely. On the picture you could see the dress in Auld Blue but it is available in much more colours like in red, rose, or shades of grey, black or white. The version in spring (a light green) is sold at fashion for life as donationitem.

On the lower picture you could see the Nervous Blouse in gold combined with the Meticulous Pencil Skirt in olive. I had to look up meticulous as well and this word definitly describes the skirt very well. The designer used the skirtlayer for this skirt (i guess its not possible to create pencilskirts without the skirtlayer) and with a band, in the colour of the skirt around the hips, the gap which often appears between the skirt and the rest of the avatar is covered. This takes a bit of the strictness of the skirt but makes it more special and it looks good. And of course it is a smart and goodlooking solution and for an annoying problem (maybe the problems with the skirtlayers are an invention of the Lindens to see how designers manage to solve it).
The top is more playful than the skirt it has a collar which looks a bit like a scarf. The prims for the arms have little frills. As the dress it comes on all layers. The skirt and the top are also available in many colours. The skirt in red and the blouse in teal are two of the donation items from Vanitas Vesture at Fashion for Life.

Vanitas Vesture is located on the Bourke White Sim at Fashion for life and their Mainstore is in Bill.

A vested interest...?

Since the delightful Miss Haiku asked me to add a few words, it is my honour so to do.
I am a great devotee of waistcoats, To me they symbolise the elegance of a bygone era, the benefit of extra pockets, but with none of the discomfort of extra cuffs. As such, I am very happy to have found an emporium called XCENTRICITY, purveyors of fine Victorian/Steampuink apparel to the discerning populace, and their sumptuous range of waistcoatsTo start with, above is the "Infernal" waistcoat, in Blood Red, with delicious detailing on the front panels, and coal lapels for that rakish, devil-may-care look, This is one of a pack of 12 colours for $250, or individually for $50 each, so I urge you to purchase the whole set, not just because of the price, but to give oneself so many more options for coordinating with your favourite suit. Under it I wear the "Rangoon" shirt, here in Pearl but also available in Coal, and the free accompanying fall-fronted woolen trouser. The very acme of elegance and style, in my modest opinion.

Above that one can see my companion Miss Charisma enjoyi/enduring a recitation of mine on the harpsichord. She is clad in the "Heterodyne" waistcoat (after a character in the webcomic "Girl Genius"), and I am in the "Impressionista" waistcoat, "Klimt", styled after a painting by the Austrian Symbolist painter of the late 19th /early 20th Centuries. Both, again, to be found at XCENTRICITY, and both exquisitely detailed (the fob and the back of Miss Charisma's have intricate trilobites picked out on them, again a nod to the source material).

XCENTRICITY has branches in Caledon Penzance and Caledon Regency, and I urge you all to visit them with your patronage.
