Jack or Jill

It had been a long day. It had been a long hard day. It had been a long, hard productive day. They had trawled through almost a hundred stores, searching for just the right items, catching up each like a prize. feet were aching, eyes were sore, night had fallen, and morning sun now licked the edges of the windows. Hunting for bargains was only ever the start, once you found everything you were looking for, you had to haul the loot home, open it up, and try it all on.

New clothes, accessories, a whole new look - theirs just for the taking.

For the uninitiated - Depraved Events each year host Jack or Jill - a gridwide hunt of two paths, male and female, each with around 50 stores to search for a prize. Prize items range from shoes to skins - and everything in between - especially in this round - socks! There will be more posts from me detailing some of the prizes from this years hunt; for now, here's the details.

 Slink Female Feet (AvEnhance). These MESH beauties boggled my mind at first - as I tend not to read instructions - just get all stuck in, and end up with no legs, then grey legs, then no legs again - but WOWZA. Once I got things sorted out - these have totally taken over from my other Slink feet which are all now a few years old. The look is great - the HUDS are intuitive, and it was easy to colour match. Appliers are being made by an ever increasing number of skin designers - and now clothing specialists are getting in on the action. The Stockings shown above from C h a r y are a look I really love - half on - half on the foot, giving a realism so rare until now in SL!  The feet are available on Markeplace - or at the Slink mainstore for L$675.

Zero

The switch your gender for 0 Linden challenge is really challenging. And Im happy that Fauna and me aren't the only ones who made a 0 Linden avatar of the other gender. Paco and Manuel from 22769 put a picture of their girl avatars in the flickrgroup. Corvus Szpiegel the owner of [Hate This] did the same. and Flash Unplugged, one of the bloggers at MD Style Watch created even several outfits for his alterego Flashette. Silverr Andel, owner of Sterling Artistry and blogger for SLdiscovery turned the girl next door into a princess. Maitresse Couturier created a boxer for 0 Linden and blogged him. Khan Omizu put a girl with a hat on flickr. And Aili Panthar created a free male na'vi.
As my first attempt to create a male avatar failed at the eyes I used by mistake I decided to try it again. This time I wanted to put a softer looking guys avatar together and I wanted him to have shoes too. So I spent some time at mother goose to win a male skin on the lucky board. After that I decided to make a male shape myself. Luckily Paco and Manuel were willing to help me with the face because that was really tricky for me. I used the male woodelfshape from the library as start but I hope that the shape does not look very much like the woodelfshape anymore. The shape will be a gift in the Eclectic Equations group with full perms. Just join the group it will be in the notices. After that I got some of the free hair from exile and eyes from the Sterling Artistry camping chair. Exile has three free hairstyles for guys and some for women as well. They all look great and are mod. Sterling Artistry also has normaly two pairs of eyes as groupgift. After the base of the avatar was done it was time to get some clothes. Most tricky was to get shoes. Luckily I remembered that Ordinary gives out some sneakers as profilepick gift. The trousers from 7style are sold on the marketplace for 0 Linden.

The fisting shirt is a permanent freebie from a:s:s. It makes me laugh so I like it and the shading is great as well. To add some detail I got a wristlet from the ruru@pino camping chair. Kumaki glasses style have headphones on the luckyboard and cherries for the mouth. Actchio still have their gift from the goodshithunt in the store it contains a unisex tattoo. In my opinion the look is fine.

I decided to look around for some more free stuff for guys. Poison has two jeans as groupgift. 22769 has also a groupgift every month. This month its a Life guard outfit with even a pipe. A:S:S just put out new gifts for residents which are younger than 30days. The suit is also a groupgift it comes from G&T Creations . The trousers worn with the fisting t-shirt are a groupgift from sey as the ones next to them. The Sexsi one is also from a:s:s. The hair with the hoodie comes from colors. It was a bit surprising how tricky it was to get jeans but normaly some of them are always a huntgift somewhere. As I tried not to use huntgifts and freebie stores it was a bit difficult.

It would be great if some more people would give the idea to make a free avatar of the other gender a try. Simply join the flickr group and put a picture of the avatar with the description of the items you used in it.

Go to Gato

Wandering around in a wonderful feathery dress i found by mistake. I wanted to see if there is still a lucky board at Leafy. There wasn't one but i decided to look into the other stores on that sim. So i found Gato. And i saw this great dress and wasn't able to resist it. Its short and blue with pink dots. The skirt looks rather feathery. Gato also has a cute freebie at the moment. The trousers on the left side. They have a unique pattern. The cuffs are made of prims the belt is painted on the trousers.

Waiting for the fall

Sitting on the top of a light house and looking around to grasp a peek on the new fall collection from 22769. So spending some time with an outfit named Senta.
Its a steampunkoutfit which could be worn on two ways. Either as adventure outfit with shorts. Or for people who prefer to keep their ankles covered with a long skirt.
The skirt has little golden ornaments and some clocks on the butt. So it might come to some really embarrassing situations if somebody asks you what time it is. But if you always have a watch with you its possible to avoid having to point on your butt.

Last night i was only keen on finding the short kimono from A.M.K.R. so i used some time today to go back to the sim and spend some more time on hunting.

I always enjoyed reading tankgirl so i like this outfit from deviant girls. They also have great flip flops with little skulls in the hunt.
