Girl next door

This look is inspired by a friend who was saying that she wanted a new look, a kind of girl next door look, and I guess we have our own spin on what that look should be. I'm not even sure where that term comes from, but essentially it's an innocent, pure decent kinda girl, so my interpretation looks like this! Zero

The switch your gender for 0 Linden challenge is really challenging. And Im happy that Fauna and me aren't the only ones who made a 0 Linden avatar of the other gender. Paco and Manuel from 22769 put a picture of their girl avatars in the flickrgroup. Corvus Szpiegel the owner of [Hate This] did the same. and Flash Unplugged, one of the bloggers at MD Style Watch created even several outfits for his alterego Flashette. Silverr Andel, owner of Sterling Artistry and blogger for SLdiscovery turned the girl next door into a princess. Maitresse Couturier created a boxer for 0 Linden and blogged him. Khan Omizu put a girl with a hat on flickr. And Aili Panthar created a free male na'vi.
As my first attempt to create a male avatar failed at the eyes I used by mistake I decided to try it again. This time I wanted to put a softer looking guys avatar together and I wanted him to have shoes too. So I spent some time at mother goose to win a male skin on the lucky board. After that I decided to make a male shape myself. Luckily Paco and Manuel were willing to help me with the face because that was really tricky for me. I used the male woodelfshape from the library as start but I hope that the shape does not look very much like the woodelfshape anymore. The shape will be a gift in the Eclectic Equations group with full perms. Just join the group it will be in the notices. After that I got some of the free hair from exile and eyes from the Sterling Artistry camping chair. Exile has three free hairstyles for guys and some for women as well. They all look great and are mod. Sterling Artistry also has normaly two pairs of eyes as groupgift. After the base of the avatar was done it was time to get some clothes. Most tricky was to get shoes. Luckily I remembered that Ordinary gives out some sneakers as profilepick gift. The trousers from 7style are sold on the marketplace for 0 Linden.

The fisting shirt is a permanent freebie from a:s:s. It makes me laugh so I like it and the shading is great as well. To add some detail I got a wristlet from the ruru@pino camping chair. Kumaki glasses style have headphones on the luckyboard and cherries for the mouth. Actchio still have their gift from the goodshithunt in the store it contains a unisex tattoo. In my opinion the look is fine.

I decided to look around for some more free stuff for guys. Poison has two jeans as groupgift. 22769 has also a groupgift every month. This month its a Life guard outfit with even a pipe. A:S:S just put out new gifts for residents which are younger than 30days. The suit is also a groupgift it comes from G&T Creations . The trousers worn with the fisting t-shirt are a groupgift from sey as the ones next to them. The Sexsi one is also from a:s:s. The hair with the hoodie comes from colors. It was a bit surprising how tricky it was to get jeans but normaly some of them are always a huntgift somewhere. As I tried not to use huntgifts and freebie stores it was a bit difficult.

A fine romance? [7]

She had been horrified at the thought of wearing stolen goods, and immediately reported the matter to the police. It was to be an extensive investigation, which meant that she was forbidden to leave Paris until the thief was caught, as she too was a suspect in the crime.

Gascon knew that she had no part in the theft, as the family heirlooms had gone missing a year before she arrived. With dwindling funds and no work on the horizon, Gascon kindly offered her work at the Restaurant, and a small room to rent, until the investigation was over.

She was grateful for this generosity , and worked hard and long hours. Her hard work had been noted, and earned her the respect of her co-workers, the customers seemed to take to her too, they adored to hear the stories of her travels She relished her new position, for the first time in her life, she felt part of something. She'd always been more than happy to be a free spirit, but had somehow always felt an observer of other people's lives, someone on the outside looking in., but here she felt like she was on the inside and she liked that feeling.

She felt mixed emotions, as the investigation reached  it's conclusion. Relief that she was no longer a suspect, and that the jewels were able to be returned to their rightful owner, sadness at knowing that the arrangement that she had at the restaurant must now come to an end, and shock at who was involved in the crime.

It turned out that the thief was a woman by the name of Petunia Pooley. She was a dancer at Le Moulin Rouge next door who had taken quite a shine to Gascon, they had become friends , but she had mistaken his attention. One evening she had slipped into Gascons bedroom, and prepared to seduce him. He was quite shocked by her brazen approach , and ordered her out of his room. It was this humiliation that made her seek her revenge, but that was only the start of it......

Candy love

Having a picnick with some close friends. Close friends with chocolate or sugar on them. Just a pose takes part in the Taste of SL this weekend. For that they made a picknick blanket. On the blanket is enough space for three friends and as many donuts as primlimits allow. The donut prop on the picture belongs to the set. Its kind of mean how realistic the donuts look. Dolly dresses fit so well to sugar. The orange one comes from the blue blood lucky board. The colour would of course fit well to halloween but there are other versions on the lucky board as well. The pinkish one was a freebie on a japanese sim. Both used skins come also from a lucky board. I won them when being at Mother Goose. The tights used with the right dress come from a brand new store. Its named Shania's sock shop and sells sock and tights (which is not really surprising because of the name). The socks come on the tattoo, the sock and the undieslayer.

A fine romance? [4]

 

Gascon left the Restaurant  and headed for where he might find her and sure enough he saw her painting outside Cafe Guerbois . She had not seen him , but on this occasion he had not wanted her to see him. He felt disgruntled that she was now customer to  Cafe Guerbois and not his restaurant, but also relieved just to catch a glimpse of her. Now he was no longer just curious about her, he wanted her back in his restaurant and away from Auguste!

Auguste did not cut a fine figure of a man, in fact he was rather plain looking, the kind of person you could meet 10 times and never remember, not by his looks in any case, but he had an aura about him and was extremely charming. There was something about Auguste that one simply could not resist, it was almost as if  he aroma about him, and once that aroma had filled your nostrils you were completely and utterly  intoxicated by it.., and a great many women had not resisted him.

Whilst she was blissfully unaware of these male attentions, it would be no secret soon of who her admirers were as quite out of the blue she received a gift. Excitedly she opened it to reveal the most beautiful  hand crafted amber  bracelet . There  was no note, no message in fact it was a complete mystery as to where the gift had come from.

Hunting for love

The cupid heart hunt yesterday was one of the hunts i liked best 2009. So i was very excited when hearing that it would take place again. When it started today i more or less rushed through it. Two stores are still missing (this is a fawn and niniko) but the other items are all out. So here a short impression of what i got. The dress on the left is from Ruru@pinio. I like the socks very much. Then comes a dress from les petites detailes with a muffler from MNK the used skin is the gift from Moothers goose the shoes are the gift at . On the right is a skin with shape from Hani. The skin comes in many versions. The bowtie is from :: fore :: and the dress from. The hair also is a hunt gift. The Hunt is still a bit messy. This is a Fawn had not their item out when i did the hunt. Alice

Alice wandering around searching for the rabbit. But she can't find i at all. She had met a crazy cat. Drunken strange drinks but no bunny and no rabbit. Its annoying. So she decides to go home. There she spends some time with searching for a turtle after that she has to go to bed.
When trying to win this alice like dress i only thought wow cool thats a cool dress i could use in roleplay. But then when getting the reations while wearing it i started to understand oh oh it looks like the dress alice in wonderland wears. I only read the books and do not have a tv so i had no clue about the films (i have a big lack in education in those things). Its kind of funny that i won at the next days fitting hair and even a fitting skin for the outfit. The hair is from trico and the skin from mothers goose. The eyes are from Sterling Artistry eyes the only eyeshop i visit.

Hero in love

A hero waiting for her training. She was secretly in love with her sparring partner. But he always lost in the fights against her. So she trained and trained with him hopeing that he would manage to beat her one day so that she could tell him that she loves him. I love this armour although i doubt that it protects much. But it keeps the shoulders warm and looks great. It comes with a resize script in all parts and the knee protectors are just cute. The armour comes also with boots and a helmet but for this picture i used boots from dragansVarg.

Winter in the garden

After snow fall the garden looked very very different. And it was also very cold so the scarf was a good thing to wear. But at the end it was smarter to wear a poncho instead of a short top. So it was still possible to enjoy a cold breeze on the arms but not getting to cold at the same time.
The pale skin with the red lips from . It fits very well to winter. The black trousers and the leg warmers are from Ibizzare. The textures of the trousers are great and the legwarmers are very well made and have those cute little flowers. The scarf, the top and the poncho are 5 Linden items from Zeery. Those items are cute in my opinion. The poncho is resizeable and well i have payed more for scarfs in a similar quality. The name of the scarf is also great "Aurora Australis".

X-mas is close

You could get x-mas sweets in the store here since september and now x-mas is also reaching second life. Stores start to put out lovely seasonal outfits. Pure Style put out some dollarbies. You could buy several of them and at the and you have about two or three complete outfits. I liked the red coat very much, the short red dress (it comes with two kinds of skirts) and the fur. Makeup/Telling Time in Japan

Isn't this lipstick cute? You can get it at Glamorize, along with the pink leopard eyeshadow I'm wearing. In fact, there's a whole wall of makeup there, all fatpacks starting at just 5L. The model pictures admittedly make you wonder if they'll fit on you, but give it a chance. Some of the craziest-looking stuff available actually looks great on me.

As with all makeup, I suggest you not load on too many loud colors at a time. Balance one bright aspect out with a nude; a strong lipstick with a soft eyeshadow, or vice versa. Too many colors on your face all screaming for attention just makes other people want to look the other away. You didn't spend your hard-earned Ls for that to happen!

I'm also wearing the Bini skin from Mother Goose, which I learned about from Juicybomb. Thank you for writing about it! This skin comes with four variations for 50L, and is so well-done that it's my going to be my skin for a while.

As I promised, we're visiting our first foreign map today. Most people know about Metabirds, but many don't know about some hidden freebies there. Chronokit offers an array of free clocks for anyone with the prim allowance to pick up. They actually keep time, and are incredibly stylish.



Explore the rest of that sim while you're at it, and the 7 additional sims full of Japanese stores associated with it. I've picked up plenty of fun stuff from Metabirds so we'll be exploring more there soon.
