The magical owl

A merciless sun raged rampant at noon, as waterwards wandered a thirsty baboon,
He staggered and teetered and started to totter , In all of his days he'd never been hotter
At the water's edge he stretched out his lips and sucked in the water in long luscious sips.
Revived to his mischievous self by his drinking he saw his reflection which started him thinking.
"I wonder why someone as clever as I should look so dull and drab to the eye? how can I change that
Hmmmm , let me see GOT IT a sign on the Baobab tree!"BORED WITH YOUR LOOKS? WANT SOMETHING NEW? MEET HERE TOMORROW AT DAWN IF YOU DO.  That's what he painted thats's what it said, that's what everyone passing by read.



The fingers of dawn had scare touched the sky when a host of animals all gathered nigh.
"friends" Baboon said "good morning to you , I presume you'd all like to wear something new?
I've found a magical owl, which as you know can magic whatever you wish to be so, swapping our looks would be easy to do Ostrich my friend may I swap with you?. Ostrich and feathers were very soon parted, with that all the swapping and switching was started.

"My stripes for your spots I'll help you arrange them" said Zebra to Leopard who answered "Exchange them!"Giraffe and Lion swapped spots for mane , now lion was spotty, Giraffe hairy and plain.
Then up snorted warthog " who'd like my warts?" sniggers and jeers were the only retorts no-one took first choice second or third , giggles and titters were all warthog heard. "Now" Baboon said "it's time for inspection, at the waters edge you can see your reflection"

Down by the water's edge one by one they peered in and cried "oh what have we done!" there were grunts and roars and screeches of fright "Baboon" they wailed "we must wish ourselves right, that magical owl where is he we need him?!"  "friends" he replied I'm sorry I freed him" and in their stunned silence they heard warthog say "I think a warthog looks better this way, truth to tell such distinctive features make us the most unique of creatures" The others lamented the looks they had lost "SEE" they exclaimed "what our vanity cost!"



After years in captivity Owl was glad to be free, so he flew and he flew and straight into a tree! with feathers all ruffled and slightly forlorn Owl wandered hazily onto a lawn.
"oh look you poor dear" Sister Fauna exclaimed and scooped up the poor bird bedraggled and maimed
"Dear Nun" squawked the owl all shaken and stirred "I think I've been rather a silly old bird", please help me recover and I promise you this I'll grant you my last and most magical wish"
So after a week of T.L&C the magical Owl was as good as can be, Sister Fauna whispered her wish then harked with delight as they made off to the roof for her very first flight.




For this weeks Taste of SL deals there is a zoo theme with many many animal print items, but what I particularly loved were the poses and props, so that is what inspired my most peculiar post. The Elephant  comes from Magnifique with 5 different poses , the owl is from Lauria complete with 6 poses.. The Nun outfit is from 22769 and is their fabulous offering for the Hollywood walk of fame hunt (details here) check the orange hunt hint poster for hint.

Water sprites

Not only merrows live in the water. There are much more water related creatures. In the deepth of the sea live huge green golden waterdragons sleeping most of the time and dreaming of ships full with gold. At the shore little fae build their nest in empty snail shells and there are the water-sprites. They like to hear news from all over the world and they like to bake green cookies made of algae. But they do not get all the news they want to hear underwater. So sometimes they swim up till they find somebody to talk with. Usually they hide their feet in boots somebody lost. They have duckfeet and they are very embarrassed because of that. So if you ever go fishing and you catch a boot quickly throw it back into the water as it belongs a water-sprite.
So on the picture you could see a water-sprite talking to a crane to get news. He speaks about foreign lands and that the dragon who reigns the lands in the north is searching for a wife. She thinks of her feet and blushes (water-sprites turn green when blushing) and tells the crane that the dragon would be never intrested in her. The crane laughs in his mind and does his best not to chatter with his pecker as so the water-sprite would know that he found her answer funny. Instead he asks her if she knows a nice dragoness which might be intrested in that Dragonlord and instead of answering she jumps back into the water to wake the sleeping waterdragoness.The crane is from the midnight mania board at neon frog studios. Its great well sculpted and being made of only 4 prims. So its perfect for the garden. And its smaller than the moose or the t-rex. The green dress is from the Simply Beau midnight mania board. It reminded me somehow on algae so i wrote that story about the duckfooted beings in the water. Its a really lovely dress. The texture of the top is great. The skirt looks a bit torn and like being made of lace.

Slow walking

Slow baking and cooking is latly not as popular as it uses to be in germany. So sitting in the white with a zebra and spend some time on slow drinking. Before i performed some slow walking at the Rue D'Antibes. There is currently a great hunt taking place and the gifts are not only clothes. For example the gift from Second Spaces. Its table with fitting seats and lamps and some more decoration. The Zebra isn t in the gift but was attracted by the parasol. Table and so on: #26. Second Spaces (0 Linden Red Seal Hunt)

An other nice hunt gift is this purple flower dress. It comes with two skirts which are mod so its possible to make the outfit fit smaller avis (or bigger ones). The texture of the lace is very detailed.

The hunt gift from WAP is a short jacket with a shirt under it and a very short skirt. It looks comfy and because the skirt is so short it also looks a bit sexy. The red hair is also a gift from the Rue D'Antibes hunt. The gift contains the haircut in all normal haircolours and also some which are not found in rl without the help of a barber.

Kawaii Snow White

Snow white wandering through the mountains eating a tasty apple and finding some cute treasures. And the apple is just so tasty.

The snow white hunt started today and there are some cute gifts in the hunt. For example this dress from likka house. It comes with different skirts and even in a torn bikini version. Winning at the KDC Mall

Looking a bit confused after a massive hair makeover i got in the KDC Mall. I do not speak any japanese but i suppose its a new opened japanese shopping mall. They got many lucky boards there and while i was stalking the lika ruby lucky board there i won some more thingies. I do not have landmarks to the single stores in the mall so i ll use the one at the lika ruby board. It was a bit tricky for me to manage to join the mall group (all the lucky boards in the store are set on that group) but you could join from my profile or you go to the entrance in the groundfloor there is also a groupinvation board. The blue top has many frills. I have to admit the combination with the trousers i choosed isn t the best but im sure it would look lovely to some capri trousers. The dress comes with fitting socks and has some lace over the shirt.

The trousers i used for the blue top fit much better to the black sweater. The trousers are either wearable in a normal way or you could wrap them up. They have been on the lucky board at VIS. The black sweater is a gift from the same store. Pants and sweater come with resizeable primparts.

And here what i have been stalking for. A yellow top from Lika Ruby. It has a prim ribbon on the neck and looks like it would have also prim frills. But they are system ones. The blue jeans are from the lucky board next to the lika ruby one.

And well i also have to admit i didn t manage to make the jeans fit perfectly but i could explain that. Today a dinosaur came into my photostudio and told me that he is a member of the style police and kept staring at me all the time. So i got quite nervous and while watching the dinosaur with one eye i wasn t able to make the flares of the jeans smaller.

Hide and Seek

Today i played hide and seek with my friend T-rexie. He tried to hide behind a building but i found him. I tried to tickle him and then i ran away because it was his turn to find me.
I hid on a store sign. And hoped that he wouldn`t find me there as he has the habbit to eat my shoes after having found me.
But then i looked closer at the shell next to me. And then i looked into it and found some nice clothes in it. I even found some more shells and some more gifts.

Somapop and Diapop opened a new satelite store on a cute beach sim. Its a complete new sim and there are some more stores on it. For the opening they have a hunt there. You search for shells. Some are hidden in the stores and some are just somewhere on the sim. The gifts are great.

The T-Rex was on the midnight mania board at Neon Frog studios. I pestered poor Diana to slap the board and to place it on the sim to surprise Soma.

Wild ride

The wild cowgirl manages to balance on the wild moose but then she sees a can on a pfost and needs to shoot at it. She tries to pull out her pistol but has to recogize that its only a tattoo.
The moose is at the moment on the midnight mania board at neon frog studios. It is sculpted and made of only 11 prims. And of course it jumps around in the garden tramples on all moles and frogs and sings nasty songs when being drunken. The shirt is from stylesucks a t-shirt store. It looks a bit like having some ropes knoted around the body. I won the hair on a lucky board at D!va. The lowrise trousers are of course from A:S:S:.
