This was interesting...

Neon glowed, soft and red in the darkness; giving the space the feeling of internal, if not infernal warmth. Stepping through the door from the street marked a change, more than location, a change of state.

Though separated from the busy street outside by mere millimetres of glass and aluminium, the space, soft and warm was otherworldly. A gentle scent caught her attention. Looking around she could see no cause, though with each step the scent bloomed, earthy and fulsome. A gentle tickle at her neck explained all. Under the strange light, the tiny plantlet in her necklace was flourishing.

There were others there... had been others there, though she could not see them, she could feel them. Feel the effect they had had on this place, and how it had affected them in turn.

That was it... the cables on the floor, sockets and plugs, traced to outlets which were unconnected, and yet the lights still glowed. The power was coming from within, it was created by all who cared to come.

Blood Letters

Droplets of blood, dried where they had fallen on the paper, or were smeared across the old fashioned typewritten letters, letters which were arriving day after day. Letters each day signed with a bloody kiss. The Mantis... a serial killer locked away. Her modus operandi out there in the world again, finding people and luring them to their deaths. Clues, drip fed to the detective like blood through an IV, a sticky red trail to follow from one victim to the next. Too close, and the blades perforating the bodies she found would be dangerously close to her own flesh, too far behind... The author of these love notes had made it clear they valued intelligence and wit, she had to keep up, or lose everything. Writing each letter was a joy, the delight of anticipation, imagining just what her face would look like when she saw each envelope. She had done well so far, as repulsed as she may have been by each tableau laid out so carefully for her she had kept on coming. It had been such fun, creating those scenes, the taste of each victim lingered on her tongue, on her fingers, on her... Each day another clue, drawing her closer in to her web, closer to the heart of her lair. The danger was all, the darkness, the blood. It meant everything, to take everything away from someone else, to enjoy it all yourself. If her pawn could only make it, could only work out all of the clues before her, she might not have to enjoy these things alone.

The androgynous supermodel Andrej Pejic is an inspiration for designers not only in real, but also in Second Life, as the numerous releases carrying his first name proof. ~Tableau Vivant~'s latest faces are Andrej and Noctis, for example, with the shown version of Noctis being the current group gift you can snatch up in store, and Exile has just recently released this very Andrej-esque hairstyle that goes pretty well with a variety of skins and outfits. To not distract too much from the stunning skin, I've chosen a rather simple outfit - a long, white tank from Zoobong, the studded belt from *BLITZED* (best belt shape ever, imho) and [Cynful]'s droolalicious low-cut Eve britches. Yes, I admit, I love to show 'crack' from time to time! :)

When the lovely Miss Nuuna Nitely released her latest male skin, the 'Ellivu', I knew that I needed to have it - come what may! I'm still not quite sure if it was the sharp contrast between black and white that attracted me, or the fact that it looks so gorgeously gloomy; I've always had a fetish for bones and anything related, and this is what you get here: lots of delicious, beautiful bones all over the place (errr, skin).



In combination with the 'tunnel eyes' from {nestle my bosom} you can easily achieve the look of some nasty, walking dead that's been brought back to life by an experienced voodoo priestess seeking for revenge - and who needs nipples in that case, anyway?
