Endless Summer Surfing

They had been down at the beach for hours, the sun had risen, and they had talked. As the tides came and went, they moved with them, riding the waves when the swells rose over hidden sandbars offshore.

Exhausted, from time to time they would ride a wave all the way in to the beach. Jumping into knee high crystalline turquoise water, feet sinking into shifting sands they hauled their boards with them, finding more purchase at the tide line, driving the boards deep to try off in the sunshine as they rested. As warm as the water could be, being out there for hours, toying with the chilly undertow took its toll. The rest in the sun, now high in the sky, was a welcome change, even as the beach began to fill with day trippers.

Families rarely made it this far down the coast, too far away from the all inclusive resorts for too many of the brash rich kids to venture away from room service. The day trippers who came were mostly of their kind, here to appreciate the beauty of sand and surf, seeking both solace of self, and fun with their friends. Brushing sand off their drying skin, shaking it from their hair, thoughts turned to food, and friends. Spotting Chloe walking towards them along the shore, smiles would curl their lips. There would be more time for surfing as the moon replaced the sun, now was the time to relax and enjoy the day.

 I'm sorry it's been a little while in coming, if only all lives were as pleasant and easy as a day at the beach. Anyway, here we have more items from the Depraved Nation Endless Summer Hunt. Endless Summer beach stroll...

Chloe had walked along the beach, mile after mile, the sun riding high in the sky, her feet pressing shallow imprints in the wet sand. The flipflops were no hindrance on her stroll, the feeling of the sand between her toes was just about her favourite thing in the world.  She would pause from time to time, picking up shells, marvelling as the softest tones of pinks, blues and browns merged, fading into creams and whites. Some, she would slip into her pockets, to add to her collection at home, others, she would skim into the waves, recycling the minute homes of the sea creatures for another generation under the sea.

The sun on her skin was hot as the thin high clouds scudded lightly out to sea. Waves crashing against the rocky outcrops and reefs in the cove were the soundtrack to her walk, adding a pounding rhythm to the soft tune she hummed as she walked along. Further along the shore she saw a group she knew, surfboards jammed into soft sand, watching the waves. Raising her hand to wave, the filpflops she carried clunked lightly together in her grip, showering her with falling grains of sand. Rolling her eyes at herself, she laughed softly, and ran along the waters edge to join her friends.

Garage Nights

The Garage didn't appear to be anything special... as it turned out, that was entirely the point. Seeming special was for the purpose built clubs in the town, the ones where security bordered each doorway, ushering in the shiny and the famous ahead of those who stood queuing in the cold. The Garage was just that, a workshop in the dirtier quarter of the town, filled during the day with rusting hulks and the gleaming chromed beasts they could become. At night, these were pushed to the sides, along with the bags of rubbish; speakers were pulled from behind the toolboxes, and the music would begin.

The temperature in the Garage was set by the energy of those there, on cold nights, breath would come in clouds from mouths on the makeshift dancefloor just as icicles on the roof would tremble and fall from the pounding bass from the speakers. Now it was summer, the air was sticky with heat; puddles of oil on the floor shimmered in the hastily rigged up lights, and the people moved as one. Bouncing to the tracks laid out for them by the dj, sweat would pour off them, rising as steam from the bestial crowd. In the shadows, there was always somewhere to rest, crates and boxes of car parts may not have been as comfortable as the padded booths in the clubs uptown, but they suited this crowd infinitely better. No security on the doors, the darkness was a place for trades of all kinds, all were adults here after all, they took their safety into their own hands as a conscious choice. You could find whatever you needed, all you had to do was ask.

Woeful Wednesday

Just a quickie again from me today - I know - but I  got myself a new job this week, (insert jumping around and celebrating here) and have a little more work to do until things settle down!

Wednesday was woeful for some.. not for others, they would have their fun.

Hang them high from pole and wire, the blood would drip, their eyes afire.

If they were chased, then they would run,

If they were caught, deny all they'd done.

Their night would soon be over, with the dawn of a bloody sun.

This is Fucking Awesome!

Arabella was of the summer. She travelled from place to place, this was one of her favourites, down by the water where everything was lush and green. Gentle tides reached along the inlet, raising and lowering the boats as they bumped up against old wooden docks. She loved to walk in the dappled sunlight, the warmth on her skin as the soft buzzing of insects surrounded her steps. Poppies would bloom in her footprints.

In the twilight of the forest Myra danced among the shadows. She beckoned to the night blooms to flower, the anemones and hellebores. Purple mists gilded the trees, prisms of light through the fine drops of dew made her skin luminesce. The fine dusting of palest blue on her eyes mirrored that of each shining orb, reflecting back the moonbeams growing brighter in the darkness. She grew strong throughout the night.

Yeah! And did I mention, YEAH! New skins from the wondermill that is Iokko at Sugar. These are brand spanking new, and, as the song at the top suggests, yours for a bargain, so you too can look fucking awesome. Depraved Nation has put together a Thrift Shop event, where amazing designers are offering some of their finery for rock bottom prices. Seriously, these are mind blowing. 

Here are just two of the FIVE new release skins from Sugar available at the event. Five tones available in each variety - with 1 being the lightest, and 5 the darkest. Each skin is just L$ 99! As per usual from the generous genius, there's Light and Dark brow options included, plus teeth and cleavage skins. Add to that the folder of skin add ons, from blushes, dimples, freckles and moles (17 options in all). Also sold separately are appliers for Lola's Tango Mesh bewbs (L$ 75), and appliers for the SLink Mesh Hands and Feet (L$ 99)! This is utterly new for me, and I'm blown away by them, I've left the final Myra picture unphotoshopped where the hand meets the arm, so you can see how minute the change is from arm to SLink Mesh Hand with the matching Sugar skin applier. These are amazing amazing!

Oops.. nearly forgot! There's also Gatchas galore, where you can find the lovely 'headsprouts' of leaves, flowers and butterflies shown here!
